They flat out lied about offering a free consultation in their response to my question on their Google page. Go ahead & look it up under Google. Notice how their answer was edited? It was edited AFTER I went into their office! AFTER I was scammed out of $195! Thats how much their "free consultation" cost me : $195. This is an illegal business practice. Fortunately my online paper trail (coupled with screen shots) will support my claims in my official complaint to the CPSO. OVERPRICED POOR SERVICE PROVIDERS. The office, particularly Dr. Tyska addressed the situation. Consultations are complimentary, and the fee was promptly refunded. Dr. Tyska and his assistant Kristen showed genuine concern and listened to feedback, demonstrating a commitment to patient care. The professionalism and dedication to resolving the issue were impressive. My daughter will soon be getting here braces with Dr. Tyska. This recent experience shows me that patient satisfaction is prioritized and that the office is committed to resolving issues.

I called to book an appointment for my daughter to get a quote on another round of braces (she never wore her retainers and teeth shifted back). The front desk told me there would be a fee for return clients but not for new clients. That didn't make sense to me so I said no thank you. I already received a complimentary consultation elsewhere with a quote. And they did NOT charge me. The front desk told me she would have someone call me back. Sure. I got a call back and told the same thing. Ok. Then I proceeded to cancel my appointment. The office (wish I remembered her name), said she would ask the doctors and call me back (again). Days later I received a call and told there would be no fee. Great. My husband brought my daughter yesterday and sure enough, I am charged $85.00. Called and spoke to the office manager. She handled it very poorly, and kept explaining that they did a lot of "extra's" and that the $85 was actually a great deal. The thing is, I didn't ask for any extra's. I just wanted to know if I would be paying the same price for another round of braces and to see if I could get some kind of discount as a returning patient. This manager made a point to say that there was no record of my previous conservations and therefore, she would not do anything. I have worked for years in private practice - Manhattan - selling elective medical cosmetic procedures. I understand how this works. It is not about the money but about the practice keeping their word and honoring their commitment to the patient. I spoke to them 3x before our actual appointment and they still charged me. I had a fantastic and very thorough hour long consultation which included images taken of my teeth and an exam with the very nice D John Bozek himself. I was advised of all the different options open to me, and what to expect along the way (timeline of the braces and cost of the various treatment options) It was a great visit, and the consultation was completely free. I chose to go ahead with Invisalign and within 3 weeks I was back at the office to have the braces fitted, that went great. Ann who fitted them that day and has looked after me at all of my subsequent visits so far, is simply fabulous, I really look forward to my visits back to see her, she is professional, informative and caring and takes great time to explain everything and answer any questions. I am 4 months into my Invisalign journey now and I am so happy that I did it, I am starting to notice the changes in my teeth already, I find living with the braces straightforward and very manageable and I like the freedom that they afford. In 2014, I went to Dr. Jeremy Kurtz after a serious childhood accident left my front teeth damaged. I was a very young woman, deeply insecure about my smile, and I placed complete trust in his professional advice. He presented me with two treatment options: crowns or a bridge. At the time, I didn't understand the long-term aesthetic or functional differences between them. I simply wanted a healthy, natural-looking smile and trusted his recommendation. Looking back, I don't feel I was given enough information to make a truly informed decision about a treatment that would permanently change my smile. Because I couldn't afford the treatment immediately, I spent months saving. During that time, my remaining front teeth were extracted and I wore a bulky temporary plastic appliance for approximately six months while waiting for my bridge. I trusted that this was the appropriate course of treatment because I relied entirely on my dentist's judgment. Looking back, I wish I had been informed that I should wait until my bridge placement is ready before agreeing to the extractions. When the bridge was finally placed, I was initially happy because it looked better than what I had before. But over time, I realized my relief had blinded me to the quality of the work. The bridge protruded noticeably, left me with a significant open bite, and lacked harmony and symmetry with my lower teeth. Instead of restoring my confidence, it left me hiding my smile for another decade. My greatest disappointment isn't just the appearance of the bridge. It's that I don't feel I was properly educated about my options, the limitations of the treatment I was choosing, or what the final result would realistically look like. As a young and vulnerable patient, I trusted that my dentist was giving me the best possible solution. I now believe I deserved much better guidance before committing to an irreversible treatment.
