The market was good, the ready made food was lacking. The seasoning was just not there. My family and I weren't able to finish our food. The adobo was mainly oil (which yes, I know it can be oily) but oil was all we tasted. The pancit barely had flavor. They do have Thai and Korean options like kimchi, Thai papaya salad, and frozen, dry, and baked goods. The restaurant itself gets pretty busy and crowded. It's an own space not a separate restaurant but they do have a few tables and chairs to dine in if you choose to. My husband said after we ate that he "felt rushed" and I agree! They have plenty of servers/employees all scrambling to serve the winding line of customers. It was our first time and fortunately we have eaten Filipino food several times so we kind of had an idea what we wanted to order. We got the $10.99 combo which comes with rice, pansit, lumpia and a choice of meat. I got a pork and veggies meat and my husband ordered the pork adobo for his meat. We also ordered tocino à la carte because that's my absolute favorite Filipino food. Overall, the flavor and food was good. Service was ok.. a bit rushed as I previously mentioned. Located minutes from Randolph AFB, is this delicious and reasonably priced oriental market with dining! Having been twice, I realize they have an expanded menu only available during the weekends (including bbq skewers). The line moves relatively quick and the service is great considering the amount of space and numerous food options. We were watching an episode of Texas Eats, and it was featuring MY Chockdee Oriental Market in Universal City. In all our time here, I've heard of them but never visited. So today was the day to check them out. There's a market portion of the store, and a restaurant/food portion where you can order food combos and some seating available. We had lunch there today. Hubby ordered the #1 Adobo Combo with garlic rice, pancit, veggies, adobo, and lumpia. I ordered the #8 Combo with longanisa, lumpia, garlic rice, pancit, and veggies. We also had 1 BBQ stick, lechon, and the ginata. Lumpia had a lot of meat in them and was crispy. The lechon was perfect! The chicken in the pancit was on the dry side. The best was the turon with langka, which was a banana lumpia with jackfruit drizzled with sugar. We didn't shop too much in the market section since there were many people in the store and there were lines forming both for the food and for the market. I drove out here and was craving Filipino food. The restaurant is located off a major street around the corner from Youz Guyz. You have to walk through the grocery store to find the dining area. I was greeted by a friendly server at the counter waiting to take my order. I had originally wanted kare kare but I was told there's a 10 minute wait so I ordered the adobo combo instead. I also bought a Japanese grape soda in an aluminum bottle. A few minutes later my order was ready and everything served, the lumpia, adobo, rice, veggies and pancit noodles were very good. The staff were all helpful and the service was fast you can go in and out in a snap as long as it is not packed. The restaurant do have a grocery store inside where they sell all asian goods and veggies. The place is big but since you have restaurant and grocery store at the same time there's only few chairs they can fit for dine in. It is clean and comfortable place to have your lunch or dinner. Cute little filipino store with groceries and they have fresh food in the back of the store! They have signs on the front window about buffets and it was super cheap! I asked the guy about it and he said they only have combos, no more buffet. Not too sure if they stopped doing it completely or for just that day. The food is amazing! Freshly made and super flavorful. It's fairly decent priced too. They have combos where you choose your main dish and the plate comes with rice, bok choy, eggplants, rice and pancit. They hook it up with the pancit and this is probably my favorite pancit I've ever had!! They also have 6 pieces of fried chicken for $6.99. Which is a steal! Apparently this idea is highly sought after, and you can call ahead to reserve if this is what you truly want. Since we do not live very close... We bought a mix to try at home ourselves, and grabbed a few other things. The lechon is very good. A little on the fattier side but it's expected due to the type of meat lechon is. Not pictured is bilo bilo, super delicious. I ate the whole thing in the car on the way back to Austin. We loved the ensaymada and will definitely have to get some to freeze next time we're here! Wow! Just finished another fantastic meal from here. The flavors are always spot-on - the tender pepper steak was perfect and the lumpia were so crispy and delicious (perfect dip included!). Finding a plate this good and this filling for just $10 feels like discovering a hidden treasure these days! On top of the great food and value, the service is always good and fast, and the atmosphere is perfect for actually having a conversation over lunch - no loud music in the background! THE LECHON IS THE BOMB It was so refreshing to find a Filipino market that actually had all of the ingredients I was looking for, and at a reasonable price, too!!! Definitely the best selection in town. The restaurant area is in the back of the market. This isn't Filipino Fusion/Americanized Filipino food, like some of those markets on the west side. This was the real deal and it was the comfort food I needed after a rough day. They had the classics (adobo, Pancit, lumpia), but also some of the authentic dishes that are less known to Americans, like Dinuguan! Our family favorites are the pork on a stick, pancit and lumpias. People from all over eat, shop and order for family gatherings. The pork on a stick will sell out by 1pm so order that first. M.Y. is a great find for me, because it's only 30mins from home. The food there is good. The Pan Cit is a little dry, but overall tasty. As far as the grocery part, I find them to be a little pricey. But, I'll still go for the convenience, and specific items I like. The Crispy Pata is good, and the best brand of Kim Chee! read more
