Fresh food, great service, great place for a healthy hearty lunch!…read more The food here is fresh and delicious. They have a variety of sides to choose from, meat , fish and tofu options and natural juices and sodas. I usually order the salmon, sweet potato, farro, or the mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, broccoli or carrots. Everything is always fresh. I enjoy coming here for lunch. I make healthy choices and its fulfilling.

Once we took the elevator down from the parking garage, we were very easily able to find the restaurant. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and when we walked in the staff greeted us immediately and gave a quick run down of the menu items to the first timers in the group. The food was all freshly prepared and all of the options on the menu were readily available. We each placed our order and decided to eat inside because it was a pretty hot day. The restaurant was also very clean from what I could see, and of course the food was fresh and tasted delicious, however the steak was overcooked. Usually it is served medium, but this time around it looks like it was well done. Overall, I give this location 4 stars and would definitely stop by again if I was in the area.

Quaint little breakfast spot hidden in the Gables…read more Tina in the Gables is located in a small strip mall on LeJeune near US1. Parking is limited as it's shared with the other establishments on the strip. Inside is small with not too many tables but they also have a counter along the window if you are dining alone like I was. It's a popular place so if you come at peak hour there most likely will be a wait. I ordered what I heard everyone raving about which was the French Toast along with a Iced Coffee. The French Toast was as expected delicious. It comes nestled on a pond of sweet syrup with orange citrus. The Toast itself was the perfect balance of crispness from the cooking and the spongy syrup goodness. It was truly delicious. Now it is super sweet and I'm ok with that. But overly sweet is not your thing then maybe opt for something else. The coffee was good. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means but it wasn't bad. The place was pretty full and people kept coming in so they are definitely doing something right. But I will say this, paying $34 for an Iced coffee and a slice of French Toast seems a little excessive to me. Was it delicious, yes but was it worth it for the price. For me it wasn't but maybe not for you. So I recommend Tina in the Gables especially on someone else's dime.

This was my second visit to this location, and overall, I'm a fan of what The Carrot Express…read moreoffers. The menu has a great variety of healthy, fresh options, which isn't always easy to find when you're looking for something quick and nutritious. That said, the pricing is definitely something to be aware of. While the quality of the food is high, this is still a fast-casual concept. It's not the spot to grab a quick lunch if you're trying to stay under $20. Wraps easily exceed that price point. During this visit, I ordered the Skinny Green Smoothie, which was very good but came in at $12. My husband had the Poke Bowl Wrap, priced at $23. It did include a Cilantro sauce that complemented the wrap nicely, but drinks are not included, which pushes the total even higher. Another drawback is the counter-service tipping setup. Suggested gratuities start at 18%, which feels steep for an order-at-the-counter experience, especially when that's typically the baseline for full-service dining. I'm giving this location 4 stars because I truly appreciate having healthy, quality options available. However, the high prices and tipping expectations are what ultimately kept this from earning a fifth star

I couldn't believe the restaurant was empty except for us the entire time - they deserve more hype! You enter through the first floor and walk upstairs to the beautifully decorated dining area. What we ordered: *Oyster mushrooms (9.2/10) - although a pinch saltier than I would have liked, the potato miso cream was to dieeee for. Mushrooms were flavorful and cooked perfectly. *Smoked coconut rice (8/10) - my bf liked this a lot more than I did but I still thought it was tasty! The saffron custard was unique and paired well with the grilled colossal crab. Little bits of trout roe were the perfect visual & textural touch. However, we both agreed that something was slightly "off" about the rice; almost reminding us of instant microwaveable rice for some reason, but we couldn't put a finger to exactly why. *Ravioli (10/10) - who knew hazelnuts, caramelized onion, and piave cheese go so well together? No complaints about this dish. It was plated nicely and a delight to eat. Kat walked us through their natural & biodynamic wine selection, as well as every dish as it came out. What stood out about her was how professional, kind, helpful, and conversational she was! Kat also let us try the sparkling Bisson wine, which was perfectly light and refreshing (hints of green apple). The meal ended with two warm herbal-infused towels for us to wipe our hands with. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill, and we tipped extra because of how lovely the service was. I would love to come back and try their brunch menu (the pear french toast looks divine)!!
