Best pizza ever. Super friendly staff. The bar side is great aswell. I'll always be sure to come get food when I am in town

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We were the only party in the restaurant, yet service was extremely slow. My mom's food arrived late and was incorrect when it finally came out. What made the experience worse was the customer service. The female employee working had earbuds in during our visit and seemed irritated when we politely asked about the status of my mom's and my son's meals. Rather than providing an update or apology, her response came across as rude and unprofessional. We understand that mistakes can happen, but when food is delayed, incorrect, and customer concerns are met with poor service, it creates a frustrating experience. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend this establishment and hope management addresses these issues. read more

We got the recommendation to drive out to Dayton from Walla Walla & to check out the Blue Mountains. We had done that & was looking for some lunch. Limited options but this place had different types of food options. We walked in and orders are taken at the counter. Our order was taken and was delivered pretty quickly (we were the only ones there as mid week/mid afternoon). Food was well priced, tasted as expected (house chips were a welcomed surprise) and good portions. Service was also good. I will be the first to say I see it as difficult for some of these restaurants to survive in a small Community like Dayton. The restaurant is presentable from the outside and caught our attention. The waiter inside gave a nice greeting when we came in, the restaurant was pretty empty during the lunch hour, although he was a little awkward when we asked for an extra minute to look at the menus not leaving and just standing there then when we checked out, he asked how everything was. My buddy said "ok." The waiter replied with "just ok?" Yeah dude, sometimes that's going to happen. The quality didn't quite meet the mark. Don't make it anymore awkward than it has to be. They don't allow simple substations on meals which is a downfall. The food took a long time front the time we orders to get our two orders of cheeseburgers and fries. I did like having the TV's in the restaurant to catch the news and some sports highlights. Not a horrible place by any means. They won't be my top pick when in return to Dayton but in a pinch it's an average food joint. read more

On a spontaneous day trip, I found this hidden restaurant gem. The cheese sticks were cooked to perfection, crispy outside and not greasy. The onion rings were excellent. The Ruben sandwich was flavorful, as was the meatball sandwich. The sauce was definitely homemade..... highly recommend read more

Why do I keep going back? No more, this was the last straw. The help is HORRIBLE! The waitress, bar maid etc. Was so unfriendly and lazy. Food can be wonderful. Worst service though! The owner says they will always fix a problem. This time my order was wrong, again. I called and was told to come in and they would fix it. They told me to come back in 25 min. When I arrived, I also talked to them about a problem I had the prior day too and wanted a manager. PJ said he WAS the manager and I was told that they did things by procedure and the owner would NOT change for ME. I was told he does not care. Also, my replacement food was not even started when I arrived. I said I wanted my $ back. All hell broke lose. The police were involved and the owner wanted me to go back home and get the wrong order, before replacing it. He later said I didn't have to. Never again! We had a group of 10 people in a completely empty restaurant. (Now we know why) one person got their sandwich in about 20 minutes then another 40 minutes later 3 more people got their meal and then it took 10 more minutes for the next and another 10 for the next and do on! The owner was here and could care less. He was asked by the very attentive waitress to come talk to our table and he walked out went to another table and totally ignored us! Waitress Kerry was a 10! No one in the restaurant, ordered 1 sandwich, a cheese bread and a dessert cinnamon bread. Went to the beverage area, fries were on the ground and it was really sticky on the floor and on the counter by the drinks. We sat in the bar area, it took 45 minutes to get the sandwich & food. The sandwich was nothing special, at all...the cheese bread was really yummy, but the marinara they give you is so small you need another and they charge 75 cents extra. Same with cinnamon bread and frosting. The guy seemed a bit stressed behind the counter..maybe it was a bad day.. problem is, we've been here for burgers before and it took about 30 minutes. Had to stand for a moment till acknowledged, but we finally ordered. The place was pretty dirty in the front tables and floors were very sticky and full of fries and such. Maybe there was a large party that left, still pretty dirty. Apparently this is an issue according to other reviews. We sat in the back room by the bar, much better. Very nice bartender and we finally got our food after a bit of a wait. It was very delicious. The cheese bread is great, we had all 3, very cheesy and yummy marinara. The next was garlic Parmesan. Yum. The next was the dessert cinnamon with frosting. Very good but a tad overdone. Only problem with the bread is there is not enough sauce to bread stick and you will get charged more for extra. I downloaded this app just to write this review, I'm not from Dayton I was there for about 2 months doing out of town construction. This place has the absolute best pizza, Alfredo, garlic and cheese sticks I've ever had in my life, in fact i went here every day after work was done for those 2 months, I would give this place my kids, and the cooks look like they know how to cook, straight out of a Disney movie. If your in even in a 100 mile radius of this place it would be a war crime not to stop in and give it a try read more

We ate dinner at My Dad's Place tonight. I ordered the Luau burger with fries. This place was busy as heck with all their pizza phone orders. I recommend this restaurant for eat in or out. read more

We walked in used the rest room, that was not clean, looked in the kitchen, it was filthy. We read the menu, and the whole time we were there, not one staff member acknowledged us at all. They only had one table that had 2 people. So they were not busy at all. We left and chose to eat somewhere else. read more

This opened recently, across the street from an existing pizza place. I asked the owner why this location was selected. Owner said that he's gone "head to head" before and been successful. Ok.... Very elegant interior, you would think you were in a big city! The chairs are wooden, the old "sweete shop" style. Classy! Employees, however, are dressed ..... regular ..... Think: "Mystic Pizza." Such an elegant interior and they aren't wearing Tuxedos? Oh well..... The pizza place across the street does the "$X.95" thing. This place does.... round numbers. Ok, goes with that "elegant interior" look.... Being a small town, pizzas are a bit pricey. My 10 inch vegetarian was $16 plus the ridiculous sales tax this state charges. But between this place and the place across the street, the pizza here was five cents more. FIve cents for the elegant ambiance! And they now serve wine! (in addition to beer.... sorry, didn't get prices....) I'm used to vegetarian pizzas having tomato sauce. This place used a white garlic sauce. Unusual for me, but again, the use of the white garlic sauce contributed to the "elegant ambiance." Even though I was on "carry out." Pizza was very good and really had an "upscale" taste to it. My one irritation was "tip jar." If someone both (A) takes your order; and (B) brings it to you, fine. But if you order yourself and pick it up yourself.... what is the point? But some people don't mind, so whatever. But I will give a YAY to their "tipping guidelines" printed on the receipt. Their calculations (15, 18, 20, 25) are based ONLY on the FOOD cost, and do NOT include the sales tax! Irritates me when sales tax is part of the calculation for "suggested" tips. I hate giving 5 stars, and it takes a lot for me to GIVE 5 stars.....because.... nobody is perfect...... But ok.... I'm the first to review, and I couldn't.....really....find anything bad (except prices are high.... small town and all....) The ELEGANCE of this place impressed me! Suggestion to owner: If someone does not already know the name of this place, it does NOT show up on a Google search of "Pizza" and "Dayton." Need to rectify that. Same with Facebook. But my adding it to Yelp will help mitigate that somewhat........ If you travel in an RV.... only street parking....unless you drive down a side street and park in an empty lot somewhere.... read more

I entered restaurant and went to counter to order. Man behind counter told me I could not bring my service dog in. I explained that she was legally allowed and he could not deny me service. He said he was not denying me service as the dog can go outside and he will then take my order. I tried to explain the law to him and gave him a card explaining why I could bring my dog in and what he could and could not do within the American with Disabilities Administration rules. He said he would not serve me. He demanded her service dog registration papers and said there was nothing on her saying she was a service dog. I explained that she did not have to be registered to be a service dog and she had chewed off her patches on her harness. He compared her to someone bringing in a rat on their shoulder and claiming it was a service animal. He continued to argue even when I tried to show him on my phone that there was no requirement for registration. I had stood there for some time now trying to educate this man and now I was in a great deal of pain in my legs and back and had to sit down. I told him to call the police. He did. I did. Meanwhile, he would not take my order. Police Deputy Brown arrived and spoke with him first and then came over to speak with me. Police Deputy Brown received five stars from me as he remained professional and understood the laws regarding service animals and disability rights. He left for a few minutes to print out some material for the man behind the counter from the ADA sight. While he was gone, I asked if I could order. The man behind the counter said I would have to come to the counter. I am clearly disabled and was still in pain and asked him to come over. He laughed and said he could not hear me. I spoke up and he laughed again and said he could not read lips and if I wanted to order then I would have to come up to the counter. This seemed to incite two patrons about fifteen feet away who said she was disabled before surgery to her knees and she had to go to the counter so I should too. I said, yes, but she had surgery so she is able to stand at the counter. Her daughter became very aggressive and hostile and started shouting at me. The man behind the counter just smiled and did not try and calm her down. I asked her to please try and deescalate the situation and she called me a bitch and said I had no right to bring in an unregistered dog and that they had to leave early because her mother was allergic to dogs and I brought mine in. I tried to explain that even if provided registration papers for my dog, her mother would still have been allergic, so I did not understand her logic (illogic) of saying it was because I brought in an unregistered dog that caused her mother to have allergies. There was no reasoning with her and she continued to escalate the drama and hysteria. The man behind the counter thanked her as she left. He came out to clean their table and when he passed me I asked for spaghetti and meatballs. He did pass on the order to the cook, but very reluctantly. Deputy Brown came back in and gave some reading material to the man behind the counter. I received my order and it seemed small to me and I wondered if they gave me half a plate just to be petty and passive aggressive. Nobody came out to check to see if everything was good or my drink needing refilling. It cost $4 for a glass of diet pepsi and $14 for the spaghetti. I did not leave a tip and the man behind the counter made some breezy and ingenuine 'have a nice day' when I was leaving. The only reason I gave this the second star is because the spaghetti was okay, but too much salt. In my opinion, the man behind the counter is a control freak and has a big ego which he could not let go of. Again, in my opinion, he knew he was wrong, could not apologize for his behavior (which is illegal and leaves him open to a lawsuit), could care less whether he accommodated someone with a disability, could not show common sense, acted like I was faking it even though I walked in with a cane, passed his attitude onto his other customers, did nothing to try and deescalate the situation and encouraged a hostile environment. read more

Need to try the burgers and pastas one of these days but it's hard to find good pizza around here and this is the best place in Dayton, in my opinion. Service is consistently friendly too.
