Stopped by for lunch on a weekday morning. Seated right away. Place was clean and had some nice decorations. Greek music was playing. Waiter was nice and gave some good suggestions for the food. Food was incredibly delicious! Everything was yummy and tasted fresh! Loved the Greek fries- they did not go chintzy on the feta. Kebabs seasoned very well. Everybody at the table was impressed. One of my fav places in this area! $12 GARLIC GARLIC: 2 types of garlic dip and one is tzatziki. Whole roasted garlic cloves, one is a garlic and potato puree. Served with pita. Great appetizer! $6 AVGOLEMONO: lemon chicken soup. Must love lemon! So refreshing! I love this soup. OCTOPUS: it's never listed on the menu, but they serve it & it's one of their best dishes! It's not overcooked, so tender and juicy. $21 PAIDAKIA (LAMB RIBS): these were delicious! It comes with so much food if you order the plate. A little bit of everything. read more

One of Walla's best restaurants! Food always tastes fresh, great staff, great ambiance!

My family decided to try this location for an experiment together and see what they had to offer. Upon arriving it was filled with other patrons, families and college students, which was a good start. We waited a few minutes, not long, for a table and chose to sit outdoors on the patio area. Seating was a little close quarters, but it made it intimate and cozy. Our server was polite and did a good job with answering questions offering what was available. There were a few items that were forgotten, but it wasn't anything major to complain or become upset over. When the appetizers - dolmades, paidakia, and spanakopita - arrived to our table, the playing looked good and we dove right in. Then midway through the appetizers we ordered our entrees - lamb + beef gyro, chicken souvlaki, falafel. Everything was flavorful. Pros: * Good ambience especially outdoors in beautiful weather * Great time to go is early evening when the air is cool * Family-friendly and people are light hearted spending time with family and loved ones; was able to see a few pups along the way Cons: * The lamb did not sit well in flavor. Not sure how this meat was prepared, however marinated in seasonings overnight and using a clay style pot/oven slow cooked may be a suggestion. This is due to experience with international travel in North Africa. * Experience could be enjoyed better "tapa style" eating versus full plates (this was our family's consensus from our experience) * Servings for fries were very small in portion when ordered another side order; it was almost on par with fries that came with other orders (if requested) Overall the experience was good due to the ambience. Food is very good but the service is not. The flavor and quality of the food were very good. The bad... Seats are uncomfortable, dinner plates are small (food barely fits in them and quantity is less than I expected). No soda refills available when your waiter doesn't come and check on you. I even had to get his attention just to place the order. We would have ordered deserts, drinks, and more food if anyone cared to ask us or was available to us. I finally just got up and paid at the counter. There were only 3 or four couples in the restaurant and did not appear busy at all. I wish I could leave a better review but not in this case. I left a tip but it would have been much larger than 15% if we received good service. read more

Wow. To do a falafel such dishonor is why im writing this. Theyre not supposed to be flat, but chef's design i guess. Theyre also not dense, again on recipe. But to undercook on top of all that is obscene. Lamb was gamey and under seasoned. Also 4 small pieces for that price, come on. At least put some more fries. Fries were the best thing i ate. Except the undercooked hard ones in the gyro, those were not or maybe were the chef's kiss. Thanks for a poor dinner and the server's attitude. read more

Good, but not great. Waiter was not attentive at all, no drink menu was offered to us whatsoever throughout the entire dining experience which is a first for me at any restaurant. Water was served in dirty cups with dishwasher debris caked on the side. Food tasted fine, great portions for the price. Only complaint is that the Greek salad was very plain with no dressing. A tasty Mediterranean joint out in Walla Walla! We got take out from here & are it from the comfort of an air conditioned home on a nice 100 degree summer day. Pickup was a bit slower than expected, but the food had some great flavors to make up for it! We started with the dolmas, which were soft, tender, and bursting with juicy/oily, olive-y flavor. The falafel plate was a bit disappointing, as the falafel was dry and not the most flavorful, I probably wouldn't recommend it based on our one experience with it. However, the meat was delicious! The gyros and chicken were both juicy and flavorful. Good tzatziki and an interesting hummus added some fun flavor to the already delicious meats, as well as spicing up the delicious pita and seasoned fries. The salad was full of olives & onions, well dressed, and very refreshing. Can't complain about much about the best Greek food in Walla Walla! This place was fine! We went in 45 minutes before they closed and offered to do takeout so we wouldn't inconvenience the staff, but they insisted we sit down and stay, which was sweet. Unfortunately their falafel is not gluten free. There was a lot of back and forth, including me explaining what gluten was, to figure this out. Wish they could have had labels on the menu or a better idea of the allergens. Since I don't eat meat or gluten, my only options were the dolmas and the salad. The dolmas were fine, not any better than the ones at the grocery store. The salad was also fine but something I feel like I could have made myself. The prices were decent and so was the service, but I really wasn't wowed. It was the quality of a takeout counter with the ambiance of a full sit down restaurant. Probably won't visit again on my next trip, but nothing too negative today either. read more

I've ordered takeout many times, and it's good food. I haven't got a chance to sit down and dine in more than a couple of times. I went today for a late lunch (around 2pm), with my mom and kid. We were seated promptly, or rather pointed to a table in the corner and handed menus and told to seat ourselves. It took the waitress a few minutes to come back with water and take our orders. And the food was really slow to come out (very simple order of gyros and fries). She never came back by to fill waters, and we finished eating and waited. And waited some more. And kept waiting. I wanted to get some baklava for desert. I watched our waitress gossip with a couple of her coworkers, sort through a stack of receipts, polish some silverware, seat other people, get other peoples' food, and continue to ignore us. I was within direct eyesight of the front counter and watched three employees fiddle around and nobody came to check on us. When she did finally come by, she had already rung up our check and still didn't ask us if we were finished or needed anything else. It was super awkward when I told her we had been hoping to order desert. She threw our check in the windowsill and spouted some nonsense. She then disappeared for another 15 minutes, at which point I was kicking myself for not having just walked up to the counter to pay, and leave without the desert. When she finally came back out, I asked if she could bring me my check so we could leave after we were done eating desert. She did not. She wandered off again, and after another 10 minutes or so, I walked up to pay at the counter and left. The gentleman server waiting the table next to us asked that person if he wanted desert and brought his check to the table. Not sure why we were ignored so thoroughly. And it's really a struggle to have an extra hour of wait time when you have a younger kiddo along that gets fidgety sitting for long periods of time. I wouldn't be so annoyed if she had been busy working, but I could see her doing pretty much anything but tending to her tables most of that time. Not sure that I will dine in again, which is a shame. My last dining experience in the evening with a different waitress was top notch. read more

Such potential! Please pay attention to details. I had seen a photo of your lamb ribs someplace on the web, and they looked great. But no! Like they were yesterday's leftovers re-heated until every hint of flavor was burnt out. Dry and stringy and black. Don't serve it if that is all you have. In contrast: tender grilled octopus, wonderful gigantes beans with tomato and a generous wedge of feta. Everything else was really, really good. Waitstaff okay. they should make eye contact to show attention, and consciously glance at the table as they walk by. Please succeed. I want to come back. Your ambience is very nice. read more

Amazing little Greek eatery with nice traditional Mediterranean meals that are comfort food for the weary traveler. The service is fantastic and the cooking staff will also come out to see how everything is going with you. We had dinner at Yamas and the food was truly delicious -- every dish was flavorful and well prepared. The service and atmosphere were also very good. The only negative part was that a mosquito was flying around our table and even landed on the food at one point, which was quite unpleasant. It definitely took away from the experience, but aside from that, everything else was excellent. We hope they can address this because the restaurant is otherwise wonderful. read more

Tried to have dinner here with my partner, we were greeted by a person that was not in the greatest mood. She showed us to our table that was in a corner by the window with a great view of the little plaza. And that was the last interaction we had with the service. We both finished our glasses of water, we were very excited to try the food, but unfortunately we were never served. Stayed there for 30 minutes at least, we saw two tables come after ours and they had servers come at least 3 times, and all the while we sat there waiting, we finished our water, got excited when we saw the waitress come by with more water but it was for the table next to ours, we remained unattended for another 5 minutes while we searched for another place to have dinner, found a great Indian Cuisine restaurant a block away and that is where we ended up having dinner (great food and service there!). At least the view was nice while we waited. And the restaurant was not realy busy. read more

Another great discovery thanks to Yelp! Ordered the Gyro Plate (with Greek salad and rice. Plus tried their Hummus and ended with Baklava. Not one complaint- tender beef/lamb with soft pita bread, perfect hummus with a touch of spiciness and perfect rice. Baklava was moist, not dry and flaky. Loved the entire meal. Friendly service and the restaurant is large with plenty of seating and welcoming. Well, one complaint - getting there and finding parking spot. Circled the block before I took an alley, cut through a pay-for-parking lot. Was worth it though. Will be back. read more

This is more like local fast food than a good Greek eatery, though I get why folks like it. For this price range, you have some healthy options. Consistently good food and service during the many times we've been here. We usually get a mezza platter, greek salad and soup. The atmosphere is nice and it's conducive to conversation. Super delicious food. Went here on an extremely cold day - I rarely eat indoors (still covid aware!) but because of zero degree temps it was what was necessary. Went early on Sat hoping for no crowds near opening and pleased to just have one other table in there. I'm sure more people go for dinner or later lunch. The waitress was extremely kind - I think her name started w an E but can't quite recall. I don't think I've had a server this friendly in like, years. I got a rice bowl w falafel - as a vegan and gluten sensitive eater I was happy w their clearly marked menu. Honestly I could not find a vegan dish to save my life in Walla Walla that wasn't at some super fancy place so I got extra food to go - side of hummus and dolmas. This was my only complaint- the hummus portion was quite small - considering even the finest and tastiest hummus that is homemade (which this was!) is extremely inexpensive to make (I make my own all the time!) so it was like maybe a 1/4 c serving for $10. If you were sharing I think it would go really quickly so you'd need a few more dips to make it work. Otherwise super glad they were open on a very very cold day!
