Mi Young Chung, D.D.S. is a dentist who is very caring, understanding, good listener, patient, detailed oriented, knowledgeable and honest. That was my first impression when I met her the first time and throughout the process, she proved I was right. We went through the x-ray result very thoroughly and she shared her concern and recommended the solutions with several options, which were very reasonable. Two of my family members were in a horrible situation due to the previous dentist and between her and her referral's time and effort, their teeth were saved. As a result, my whole family transferred to her dental office. That's how much we trust her. The most shocking part for me was that she used to do all the cleaning herself. It showed how much she cares each of her patients. Now, she has a dental hygienist who is amazing as she is. He explains what the problem is, learns your brushing habit and gives the solution, which is very helpful. Also, her staff are great in explaining what is going to happen each steps, professional by making the process fast and efficient and sweet by having a wonderful customer service. I haven't seen anybody who didn't greet and treat their patients without a smile. The dental office is small but is very clean, has all the latest and greatest equipment and each stations were functioning efficiently. I love the fact that each stations have a large LED screen that shows the patient name and the x-ray result so you don't get bored waiting. read more

The new doctor takes way too long with his appointments, 30 minute appointments can go to 2 hours because he and his two assistants seem confused. The kid with the big eyebrows and the kid with no eyebrows are very unfriendly and unprofessional when it comes to handling people. I would limit their interaction with customers more. I would recommend going somewhere else. An experience here can be hit or miss. And you don't wanna risk that with your teeth. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. 4 months (4/19/22)ago my boyfriend,my best friend, the love of my life went to Dr. Chung to be treated. On 4/19 he made an emergency visit due to a toothache. Without any treatment /antibiotics Dr. Chung made the decision to pull out the infected tooth. While in the hands of Dr. Chung and staff, my boyfriend had to under go cpr compression as he was not responsive ... there is more to story but I'll leave it at that. I show up to pick him up and everyone fails to let me know what had just occurred. They expected because Federico to inform me however how could he went this man was so out of it. He didn't even know what just occurred to him. They let me take him home with and within hours later I had to rush him to the ER. Federico unfortunately lost his life due to sepsis /blood poisoning a day after his visit to Dr. Chung. My life will never be the same, my life is forever changed due to Dr. Chung decision to remove that infected tooth which ultimately resulted in his death!!!!! The staff/Dr. did not disclose what occurred while he was treated however followed up with an email? To me that tells me their conscious was not allowing them to sleep. I am sadden because I recommend this place. I told him he would be in good hands. Why would you hide what happen Dr. Chung? He would still be alive had you told me, "GO STRAIGHT TO THE ER PATTY!" Instead you let him get out of your office without even charging him because you knew you FUCKED up. He was only 37. This was not suppose to happen. read more

Dr. Chung was awesome! I have found my new dentist! She's so through! I've never seen my teeth from so many angles before. She shows you exactly what's wrong with your teeth. There's a huge screen on the wall with all the X-rays right in front of you. She very gentle and efficient with her procedures. The office staff was very nice, and they make sure to go over all the pricing for procedures with you. I'll definitely be back! Update: I went yesterday for a deep cleaning procedure! Let me just say this, I was scared to death! I've been needing this treatment for a few years but have been putting it off because I heard it was painful. Well, if it was I missed it! Once again Dr Chung was so very gentle and quick. It's as if she knew when you were feeling some discomfort and then she'd move on. At that age it is very difficult to exam and diagnose without the parents help. When the Child and parent do not cooperate with the Doctor while attempting to do an exam, it's very difficult to treat if there's any treatment to be done. Any Doctor can tell you that. We did not charge you $68 dollars. That's what your insurance Plan actually pays for the exam. Every insurance plan is different. We do not have any control over the insurance fees. Once again we apologize for any misunderstanding or miscommunication" I will definitely do my due diligence instead of trusting BOGUS Yelp reviews. Yes, it is a difficult age and I would expect more sympathy than, "Just hold down your child." There's no toys to distract your child. No patience to get the child comfortable. I came here for my baby's regular check up. I called them to make appointment and someone got my call and finished to make appointment. After that i got there with my hubby.I couldn't handle my baby by myself so he finished to work earlier for the appointment. Finally other receptionist(Korean) asked me why we were here. OMG....what kinds of question is this ??? The receptionist(she is latino) made a mistake to make appointment and other receptionist knew this but didn't confirm me. Wow, I must say, I've never felt so comfortable at a dentist before. This completely changed my mind on coming in more often to care for my dental hygiene. Front desk is extremely friendly and personable. Making an appointment was a breeze and they are ontop of things! The dental assistance are extremely professional and answer questions thoroughly. The doctor is sympathetic (I had a tooth ache), and didn't treat me as just another number. She would tell me what was going on step by step which put me at ease throughout my appointment. She treats her patients with respect and kindness and not to mention , her work is fast, yet very efficient. I hate the dentist!!! But when my tooth broke eating a burger I needed a root canal. Dr. Chung was the dentist that treated me in the clinic around where I live. She was very good gentle and fast. I felt no pain. She took her time and I felt she was very knowledgeable. I found out she opened her own practice and no longer worked at the clinic I went to and decided to follow her. Trust me she's good. I make the drive from Hawthorne to Anaheim for my dental appointments. She's also great with kids. The staff is nice and they always make you feel welcome. They answer all my questions and always Make sure I understand the treatment. The fees are very reasonable. I came here to fix my cracked tooth, since Dr. Chung did such a good job on it I decided get my implants done here. All the staff are nice and made me feel comfortable they also answered all the questions i had concerning my payment plan and procedure. The office is super clean not to mention the tools and machines there looked new, the music they had on was relaxing and calm I almost felt like i was at a spa lol. When I first met Dr. Chung she made me feel comfortable right away she was nice and professional, she took her time with me answering all my questions about the implant procedure. Before my procedure, she would tell me everything i need to know before and after the procedure. I usually never EVER leave any kind of reviews, but I just HAD to for this place. PATIENTS BE AWARE. If you don't have dental insurance like Medi-Cal, please think twice about this place. She charges for more than $450 for simple teeth cleaning, including X-rays. WHO DOES THAT. Other dentists provide prophylaxis for free for new patients. My insurance wasn't enough to cover this kind of nonsense and now I gotta pay for a simple service I could've gotten for FREE elsewhere. Go somewhere else. Oh and not to mention Dr. Chung is rude to people who use Medi-Cal as their dental service (obviously since she can't rip those patients off like me).
