Recently, the door wouldn't stay open when it was halfway down and was very hard to lift when the power was out. One of the lift cables on the left side was also badly frayed and about to break. This was never communicated to me. Also I needed to re-explain things to the people who came in to do the work. Frankly this just came across as deceptive. 2. They either lied about lead times or they straight up forgot to place my order and then lied about it. They said it would take six weeks it took 12. I actually checked in at 6 weeks and it sounded very clearly like they didn't have my order and then they backtracked. 3. The installers left a mess. This is the clincher for me... leave the place cleaner than you came. I ended up with extra holes in my ceiling, drywall dust and screws all over the floor. It was just unprofessional. All in all this was an expensive service and they were grumpy, rude and don't deserve my business (or yours frankly). 4. They installed an insulated door without seals with the shrug of -- well we just don't do that anymore. An insulated door without seals is pointless. Then don't install an insulated door. 5. They are a pain to deal with. No email just an answering service, it was just difficult to get clarification on things. So why three stars after all this... I have a door and it appears to be installed correctly. When you are spending these absurd prices for a garage door frankly I expect better service.

I was told initial manufacture of base door would be 8-9 weeks and 2-3 weeks inhouse at Somerset to install hardware, etc. After the max time estimate of 12 weeks, I queried the office about door status on 6/4 and was eventually told they'd never even ordered the base door from the manufacturer. 12 weeks wasted, so I asked for my deposit back. Told on 6/9, they'd need a 'couple of days' to return my deposit. 9 days later, on 6/18, after asking where's my deposit, I was told on 6/19 that they'd need until 'mid-week next week' to return my deposit. Three weeks later, still no return of my deposit and no attempt what-so-ever to communicate with me, so I feel forced to file this complaint and will be forced to hire a lawyer if BBB can't help me."
