These people are nice, affordable and work quick. Unfortunately they weren't able to fix my son's iPhone 6s because he had way more damage than just the screen as he thought. They still quoted him and took at look at it. Their diagnostic is why we now know that it was more than the screen being cracked. They didn't charge us for the 20 min they spent looking at the phone. For a cracked screen they were going to charge us $120 and said it would be ready in 20 min. Sounds great to me. Even though my son had way more going on than a cracked screen, they told us everything that was broken, how much that would cost and even provided us with another method. Going to the apple store . I appreciate them doing that. Most places will just tell you that they can't fix it and leave you unsure as to what is going on. This ppl are cool! read more

I have had my iphone front screen replaced twice by this store -- Pourya was great in doing so. Prompt and good quality. If there were issues with button responsiveness they completely worked through it. But recently I came in to get the back of my iphone replaced as it was cracked and it was an aesthetic fix. I got greeted by someone new, was told 3 hrs for the replacement (which I understand for any queue) but when I got back to retrieve it... he gave me the phone, minutes later told me FaceId wouldn't work as the replacement fumbled something in the hardware.... he then proceeded to go to the cash register and kind of brushed it off. I told him that's a pretty critical feature ... and he suggested he can replace it back to the old backing and to get the faceid (which broke during his replacement) fixed at an authorized apple retailer. I came back from 2 authorized apple places (including apple store) to which I was quoted $169 to replace the faceid issue and not any part of my initial request at Emergency Guy store for the back screen. So essentially the failed replacement here is costing me $169 to get something fixed that was working before coming here and not including the cost for the part to which I am looking to get replaced... very disappointed. I unintentionally "wiped" the hard disk of my macbook air. (I was checking my devices on "find my mac" and thought it was a nonfunctional imac that I had sent off for recycling.) After talking to Apple tech support, it appeared the only way to recover was to bring my macbook in and get the OS reinstalled. Unfortunately, all Apple stores in California are currently closed due to the pandemic. At Apple's suggestion, I searched for Apple authorized repair shops. Turns out that My Emergency Guy was authorized and open. I called them and they said just bring it in. To boot, they were within easy walking distance. The got it reinstalled in about 2 hours, I came back, picked it up, and it's now functional. Cost was just under $100 - far less that what some other places had quoted. The camera on my Samsung Galaxy 7 started malfunctioning and I was quickly reminded how much this feature of smartphones is used. Not just for taking photos for fun, but for depositing checks, scanning documents, etc. So I visited My Emergency Guy and they meticulously tested different possible causes. They were helpful, communicative, and transparent about what each fix would entail and cost. In the end it turned out to be not fixable, but I was so grateful in their honesty and that they didn't try to sell me anything that wasn't a sure-fire fix. They will definitely be who I take my tech woes to in the future. Prior to my latest experience, I had used them on numerous occasions with a good outcome (though with some attitude always, I must say). But I'm done after this latest "repair". From the moment my daughter and I walked in, there was full tech bro attitude from the person 'helping' us (a short, bald guy). My daughter had brought her Mac Air computer in the week before as there was damage from liquid. She ended up having to get a new screen and it was $700$. She was holding the computer up and was lightly touching the screen when it cracked. Made no sense. On the phone the same bro gave attitude and said it was her fault without even having seen it, but said she could bring it in. Once we brought it in, he was insistent that screen was 'fragile' and should never be touched. As he could see fingerprints on it, he could tell she had touched it, and refused to take any responsibility. I asked if possibly the screen had an imperfection in it that made it crack. Oh no, its fragile, she touched it, its her fault. I knew this was BS and my god, he was SO RUDE. No way was I giving this place another $400 to fix the screen so off to the Apple Store we went to get a new computer. The Apple store folks (2 of them) both told me what he told me was total BS. Screens can be touched and are not "fragile". One of them even poked the demo screen a bunch of times hard to make her point. Clearly, they used cheap AF replacement parts and took no responsibility for that. Lesson learned. No more cheap AF replacements. I got Apple Care. Who needs tech bro attitude?! And I'm sure they could give a crap about my experience, as they seem to have plenty of good reviews (which is why I started using them in the first place). Hopefully other users will not have the same attitude or experience, but I'd strongly recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Yelp!!!!! Please help!!! My phone screen cracked. I yelped and found my this joint. $120 plus tax for repair within 15-20 minutes. Hell yeah. Quick and easy. Great customer service. Parking is not hard around the area. You can wait inside for your phone or you can go have lunch or go grocery shopping in trader joes. I also bought the plastic screen which they installed and will definitely help the screen from cracking again. They are open 7 days a week so it's really awesome. I normally don't write any reviews but the work done was really good and with a fantastic price. The usb port to my iphone 4s stopped working and he was able to replace it within half an hour for only $30. Other places will charge almost double the price. The one big thing that caused "My Emergency Guy" to stand out was his honesty. He was honest about what he knew and did not know how to do. Some places will try to tell you that your phone has other problems in order to get more money out of you. This gentleman was straight-forward and honest about his prices and background in repair. One thing to note is that My Emergency Guy works out of his apartment, so it may seem a little shady; but the work he does is definitely not. read more

My MacBook Pro wouldn't get past the grey screen, couldn't even start on safe mode. My hard disc was corrupt, and nothing I did was able to fix it. Most recent miracle: my kid dropped a plugged-in iPad and the charging dongle broke off in the port. We spent an hour trying to remove it, with no luck. Does another 5 stars help these guys that much...? I visited these guys on a random Monday afternoon. The screen on my smartphone had gone dark and I needed some of the data on it. I worked with Philip at MEG and he was so nice as to hook up a working screen to my phone so I could quickly download some of the contents. I went from dark phone to workable phone (Philip did all the work, I had a slice of pizza) and I was able to download the essentials in another 30 minutes. Yes, it was $95, but being able to get my data was well worth it and an object lesson on why you should do automatic backups. Thanks guys! read more

We needed a screen replacement for a Galaxy S21. The screen wasn't cracked or broken, it just went haywire displaying random, flashing lines, big blotches of color, inverted images and other undesirables. Called Best Buy's "Geek Squad" and was told that they could do the replacement for "a maximum of $199, maybe less" and that it would take an hour or less. Made an appointment to take the phone in to Geek Squad. Once there, on time, I was made to wait 40 minutes while the woman schmoozed with people in line. When she finally returned to me and reviewed the reason I was there, she pronounced quite imperiously that the replacement would be $350 and would take 4-5 weeks. I left angry and committed to not giving BB/GS my business. I then called My Emergency Guy and was told that they would do the replacement for $220 and that when I brought the phone in they'd order the screen with a one-day turnaround and have it replaced the next day. I didn't get to MEG before they had to place their order for my screen for next day delivery, but found out the next day that they ordered it even before I came in so that I wouldn't be delayed the extra day. They then did the repair/replacement for the amount they quoted on the phone in the time promised. I recommend My Emergency Guy and will take our phones, tablets and computers to them when they need attention. I most certainly will not even bother talking to The Geek Squad. read more

well the price quote was better than apple but once there, costs were added so that ultimately for the same or an extra $20 apple would have replaced the screen and the battery, and of course with OEM parts. The screen and home button have both been noticeably less responsive than the original. The worst part is that 1/3 of the screen doesn't respond to zoom, which i use frequently when reading. I brought it back to these guys within a day or 2 with this problem and they basically brushed me off. Will not ever again go outside of apple for repair. I do not recommend. read more

Just to reiterate other reviews - do NOT go to the Apple store! My Emergency Guy replaced my 3 year old iPhone 5s battery for less than what Apple would have charged AND within the same day in less than 20 minutes! The battery life has improved significantly. Much cheaper than buying a new phone! I've also had the battery on my really old MacBook Pro (2011) replaced on the same day and in about an hour. My husband dropped his Nexus 4 and part of the screen stopped working. They replaced the screen, but the camera got disconnected somehow which he didn't realize until the next day when he tried to take a picture. We took it back a week later and they fixed this issue free of charge since the phone was still under the 90 day warranty. Highly recommend this place for your phone/laptop battery replacement and repairs - same day service and reasonable prices! read more

I took it home and the camera did not function. I went back to the store and they put a new camera in and also gave me a glass protected phone.
