Scam, scam, scam they bait you in with the $59. deal so boldly posted in the window then tell you after your eye exam you don't qualify for that offer, who in hell ever heard such BS. Then they have this lil section with maybe 10 pair of frames to choose from but hold up you not gonna qualify for that offer (did I already mention that) SMDH then they run that buy 1 get 1 free BS for frames,($30 frames) but did I mention that the lense for both frames is where they sock it to you. I never seen a company with this much playing in my life. People take a few extra steps around the corner to Americas Best at least you will qualify for the $69.95 special... read more

The 59.99 is a scam with the free eye exam. When I asked about it, I was told it does not apply to people with insurance. I wasn't happy when I left there. I turned to leave after I heard that but she started talking and I listen( Should kept walking). The only reason I would go back is because I have a credit for paying for contacts that I couldn't use. I heard them talking about a customer that left just after I entered the store. I completely agree with several of the reviews: DO NOT GO THERE! A complete ripoff! I had NO idea that their eye exams are with a virtual "doctor". And that "special" that they mention, LIES! There were about 4 ugly frames to choose from for the 2 for 59.95 special. We spent entirely too much there and will never ever ever return again! It doesn't even deserve the one star that I had to give! The difference with me is that. I was not shown any glasses that fell under the $59.95. I will go back because the glasses that I did purchase I can't see a thing out of them. One lady working there told me to look out of the side that will help me see. (what in the world)!! First time customers at this store will never be back. The female caucasian manager at this store was extremely rude and unprofessional to customers and employees that are Black, Latino, and Native American. Our family witnessed customers of color shopping at this establishment that were severely mistreated and verbally assaulted by this aforementioned female caucasian staff member. An employee's mother entered the store through the front door and was immediately insulted and berated very loudly embarrassing her in front of everyone. This very rude and loud manager then told her to only enter store through the side entrance in an entire store full of customers. It felt like 1950s Jim Crow movement in the deep south. Caucasian employees work behind glass watching the ethnic customers instead of assisting Black, Latino, and Native American patronizing customers in having a pleasant shopping experience. This store hires people of color to work selling frames while simultaneously mistreating and demeaning their employees of color and all ethnic customers in a very derogatory manner which is unacceptable and inappropriate. 95% of people living and working in this area are of ethnic descent and deserve the best civil and moral rights possible to all of mankind. If you are looking for great service, honesty and quality products then DO NOT GO TO MY EYELAB. The thing one notices about the place all the way from the street is huge banners in the windows that wraps around one whole corner of the building that advertises 2 pair for $59 and a "free" eye exam......well, the first thing you're told when you go in is the exam is actually $45 (not free as advertised), which you must pay to the eye doctor; however, it will be credited back to you up front upon choosing your frames. So just to clarify, I asked, "so that means that I will owe $15 plus sales tax, right?" The sales associate answered, "that depends.......on which frames you choose". I said, "well, of course, the special you have advertised all over the front and side of the building, 2 pair for $59." I mean, I wonder how many customers they actually have that come in and say they don't want 2 for $59; that they prefer to pay $200, $300 dollars? Come on...they know what ppl want when they walk thru the door. The salesperson told us (myself and my 16 yr son; we were there for his glasses) that the frames for the special were mixed in with all the rest and we'd just have to look around for them. After some time, we found two frames and proceeded to the group of employees that were huddled around a table in the middle of the store, enjoying each others company ( we were the only customers in the store). I extended the box with our selections; ready to get on with the exam (I had refused until we found suitable frames). An employee other than the one I had already spoke with informed me, very snobbily and hatefully, that these frames were not ones for the special. She pointed out the frames on a very small section of wall and said those are the frames for the special. There were maybe 50 frames to choose from out of the probably 1000 frames in the store for the special...... they were ugly, looked cheap and much too small for my son's 16 year old face. I commented on the fact I had been directed to choose frames with a particular tag. The second employee said, "she's new" - meaning the first employee I had spoken with. So why wasn't someone supervising her until she learned the details of the job? Why did I just waste 30 minutes choosing frames that wasn't within the price? Did I get so much as an apology for the screw up? NOPE. I asked for price quote for the frames we chose and was informed these frames were buy one, get one free......one was priced at $49 and the other $29. So I tried to clarify, "oh, okay, so both pairs for $49 and I'll get the credit for the $45 exam and I'll owe you $4. That's an even better deal. Is that correct?" Why, of course not! I was told by yet a third employee that due to my son's age, Georgia law required that a polycarbonate lens be used and the cost for that is $138. I said, "Really?", while watching this woman's body language closely. Innocently, I asked, "Is the lens he currently has been wearing for the last year polycarbonate?" She glanced toward my son and said, "yes, it's against the law to sell him anything else". She was straight up lying!!!!!!! I said, "Strange, but Walmart didn't charge extra for the lens my son is wearing. Maybe I should just go back there." So she grabs a calculator (it was simple math but I guess when you're scamming, a calculator is necessary - at any rate, it's a distraction, right?) The bottom line for 2 pairs of cheaply made, basic glasses and eye exam???? $187.50 I laughed out loud!!!! We left. In the parking lot, I looked up laws in Georgia concerning children under 18 and polycarbonate lens and here's what it said - Opticians, optometrists, opthamologists, basically anyone in the eye glass business have a legal responsibility to INFORM parents that polycarbonate lens are AVAILABLE for purchase and discuss with the parent the safety issues involved! The employee at My Eyelab is nothing less than a liar. They evidently are desperate to sell some eye glasses over there at My Eyelab. It won't surprise me at all when they are no longer in business. read more

People are stating that the 59.99 is a scam with the free eye exam I personally didn't experience that. As soon as I walked in and asked about the deal I was appointed to the frames that are under the special so I located a pair that I actually liked an another pair that wasn't under the special, so I asked the lady how much more will it be since these frames are not under the special. So it prompted me to the buy one get one free special so my total was 157.00 which included one regular pair that was under the deal and a designer pair that wasn't. However my son got the deal but both of his glasses needed Anti-Glare coating and special lenses since he has a severe stigmatism in one of his eye so his glasses came to 177.00. So in all I paid 344.00 which is one pair under the deal another pair designer with tinted lenses and my son has two pair he liked with the Anti-Glare coat which is a fee per glasses. I'm greatly appreciated and satisfied. Sorry people didn't have the same experience I did. You may need to ask all the appropriate detail questions first before you go thinking you about to come up on a great deal... read more

visited the Morrow location in October 2019 to take advantage of the buy two pair glasses for $59 and receive a free eye exam. I was assisted by James who was attentive, witty, patient and knowledgeable. Prior to completing my eye exam, I picked out two pair of frames that have been my "go-to" shape for years. After the exam, James showed me several frames that were more suited to my round facial structure. I myself would have never picked either of those frames, but as it turns out they both looked wonderful on me. Unfortunately, the way the prescription was inserted in the lenses was a bit uncomfortable for me. When I returned the location, James was assisting another customer, but Ruby was more than willing to assist me. She listened to my concerns, explained the progression in my lenses, then submitted the request to make minor adjustments. My experience with Ruby was stellar as well.
