Couldn't be happier with our membership here. It's been three sessions and I already see a difference in my son (2 years old.) The teachers are wonderful and keep the kids engaged and happy. They always have an upbeat, positive attitude which is inviting not only to the children but to the families also. You can tell they really care. We were on the fence about signing up before we attended our guest class because of the negative reviews on here. But honestly, take a closer look at what the negative reviews say. "I didn't like the birthday party for my daughter." "The parking is difficult." Waa, cry me a river - It's Queens. Of course the parking is difficult. Go find a side street. (Eye roll emoji) Anyway, 10/10 would recommend. This place is a total hidden gem in Fresh Meadows. I feel confident about my son attending school in the fall because these classes are fun yet structured with free play as well as circle time segments. Don't hesitate to check this place out to keep your little one entertained and active on your days off! Thanks, MyGym!

This review is for a birthday party we had here for my daughter's first birthday. We were looking for a place where my daughter could play and have fun, while her slightly older cousins and friends could enjoy as well. And boy was this the place... They offer activities for kids ranging from infants upto about 10 years old. They have trampolines, balance beams, play gyms, a rock wall, and even a zip line to name a few... We saw online they offer a free trial class, as they offer group classes broken up by age. So we took advantage of that to get a better idea of what they have to offer. Needless to say we really enjoyed the class and decided to hold her birthday there. The two girls (who looked surprising young) were the facilitators for both the class and the birthday party. I must admit when I arrived at the party and only saw the two girls I was a little concerned how they would handle the crazy kids in my family. Having said that, I would request them again in the future. They were amazing, great with the kids and very professional. They managed the children very well and was great with every age group there. They managed the use of the activities excellently, every kids that wanted to try it had an equal opportunity (except the birthday girl of course, who had special treatment :) ). Finalizing payment went smoothly as well, and I was more than happy to leave a well deserved tip. I would definitely recommend this place to others... Happy Yelping :)

Did a free trial class here last Saturday. Its right on union turnpike, meter parking in front or you can pay at the garage (its on the 3rd floor so if you use the garage, its easier to get to). We arrive, pop music playing, teachers very welcoming! My daughters 11 months, so she's already intrigued....lol The place: Lots of bright fun colors everywhere, slides, small trampoline, rock climbing wall, small obstacle things for the kids to play in, small area in front with benches, a coat rack and cubby holes for shoes. They also have lots of hooks hanging from the ceiling so they can bring out swings and hook other stuff up. Its kind of small, but they only let a certain amount of kids into the classes, so its not crowed. The experience: there classes go by age group....so we attended tiny waddlers, which I think goes up to 18 months. We start off sitting in a circle doing some simple exercises, then they get to play and explore, teachers bring out fun stuff like swings, and put up a tent with a maze in it. The crowd was cool, parents watching there kids, teachers were really attentive and great with the kids. They did a short puppet show, and sang some songs with us. My daughter loved it! Why not five stars??? The classes are really early, they don't have afternoon class options. My daughter is not an early riser, and we still need time for dressing and feeding before we go. Had to wake her up, she enjoyed herself but took an extra long nap in the afternoon....lol Seems like a nice place for my daughters 1st birthday!

The location was much smaller in 2013 but the core values of the gym is what made this place special then and those values still remain today. Walking into a boxing gym can be a daunting experience and alot of gyms are known for hazing new fighters in a way that could be unsafe. The EQBC experience happens to be the furthest thing from that, from the coaches to a fighters this gym is built on an environment that is cultivated around teamwork and personal development. From the most experienced fighter to the least experienced all members have a level of respect for others and the sport of boxing that make this gym truly special. EQBC is different, EQBC is the standard for real boxing gyms , where real fighters are made.

I've been a member of this gym since February 2022; I used to go to NYSC before it went bankrupt…read moredue to COVID. The only reason why I signed up for this gym, and not the Planet Fitness in my hometown, is because it had Precor ellipticals. For the money I've paid, I shouldn't complain. The equipment and machines the gym has are diverse and decent. Unfortunately, too often, machines are rendered unusable because people break them, take pins out of the weights, or just plain need real repair. For instance, the ab slide machine had a torn slider that was first "repaired" earlier this year by putting a polyester cover over it. The thing is, the cover actually messed up the "slide" so it was choppy. It took the gym another 2 months to figure out that the polyester cover didn't cut it and that the slide pad had to get replaced. As I have started using the gym more, it's lack of customer service and the general attitude of the customers has really started to gnaw at me. It has gotten so bad that I am now going to drop my membership and spend 3x what I am spending now just so I can go to a gym that is less crowded, has the same equipment, and the customers appear more considerate. Currently, there are five ellipticals, but at least one has been out of order since April 2026! Of the four functional ones, only ONE has a smooth glide! I brought this up to an employee (who are usually hard to come by on the weekdays) at the end of April and they acted like I was bothering them. The lack of gym etiquette is galling. You're supposed to wipe down the machines AFTER you use them. Most of the wiping that does gets done happens when someone is about to use a machine. People walk away from machines but claim the machines by leaving their stuff next to or on them. It is a busy gym most of the time, so this is really inconsiderate. And if you ask someone doing this if they are done with a machine, most of the time they just give you attitude. And good luck trying to get to a machine during peak hours! There is a high school just a few blocks away, which also makes the gym crowded even before the after-work crowd gets there. This past Saturday morning, when the gym was far from "normal" busy," I found myself looking for just one empty locker! People leave their locks on the lockers and claim it for themselves, and no one cares! And while I've never seen anyone smoking in the locker room, there is a stench of weed in there way too often! After PureGym took over from Blink, there was an initial decrease of the number of people at the gym. However, people have figured out how to sneak in even without the QR code from the PureGym app. They sneak in by waiting outside the automated handicap door. It is truly ridiculous. I saw it happen even today. I didn't pay a lot for gym membership, but I also got what I paid for I guess.

Let's start with the fact that there hasn't been any soap in the men's bathroom for about a month…read more How hard is that to fix? I mean there's a Dollar Tree right across the street for crying out loud. That means people are using the bathroom and then heading back out to the equipment without being able to wash their hands. The hand sanitizer has been empty for at least as long. Maintenance is another issue. When something breaks, it often stays broken for a long time, and some of the machines are missing parts. On top of that, there is usually only one machine for each exercise, so if someone else is using it, you're pretty much out of luck. The gym also doesn't always open on time. I've spent more than a few cold winter mornings sitting in my car waiting for someone to unlock the doors so I could get a workout in before work. It's nice to have a gym close to home, and it's not a bad option if your focus is mainly cardio. But if you're into weight training, you may find the equipment selection and maintenance frustrating. I just wish things in our neighborhood were held to a higher standard.

I have no issues with the staff, but I have issues with how upper management handles a business rooted in the black community. I have been to Retro fitness gyms across the nation, and none have looked, smelled, or been as poorly maintained as this one. You can't go on one machine without there being an issue with the equipment. I stayed with this gym for way too long due to the fact that it is the first and only gym in Queens Village. Knowing that, I feel like they use the monopoly to make sure they don't take seriously the concerns of the majority black population who patronize them. Every member has complained about going to a gym that has no respect for them. The ceiling leaked for months onto the rubber flooring, the speakers were broken for months with no rush to repair, the boxing backs were ripped out of the walls with no plans to update, the back pull-down machines squeak and buckle at every pull, and the shoulder lat pull-down has been broken for over a year plus. If you hate the community you're placed in as a business, this is the best way to show it. I gave so many chances for things to get better, but at this point, out of respect for myself, I can no longer do it. When I finally voiced my opinion, I was told that "the owner doesn't care to hear my concerns and is cheap". Go to where you are respected and loved, and it sucks because it has to be outside of your neighborhood.

Review for Planet Fitness (Supreme Fitness Franchise)…read more Review does matter if you see a company getting consistently the same complaint know that's a common issue. I want to share our experience with a Planet Fitness franchise, Supreme Fitness, to help others avoid unexpected charges. My child, a minor, joined on November 8th, 2024, after seeing their $1.00 plus tax signup promotion. He also paid $9.00 plus tax to use the gym until November 17th, 2024, their billing date. Unfortunately, important details about the membership were not clearly explained upfront. Here's what happened: After the initial payments, additional charges appeared, including $33.38 as a gym fee and $20 as a late fee, totaling $51.38. This pattern of unexpected charges continued for two months without clear explanation at the time of signup. After two months, an annual fee of $51.28 will be and continue to be charged on the same date every year. This critical detail was not communicated during the signup process. When we spoke to the manager, they claimed all terms were available online and did not need to be explained in person. As a parent, I find this practice unacceptable, especially since minors may not fully understand the terms of their membership. Businesses like this should clearly explain all fees, including annual charges, late fees, and cancellation policies, in person during the signup process--not just rely on online fine print. If you're considering joining this gym, I strongly recommend: Asking for a detailed explanation of all fees, billing cycles, and annual charges in person. Requesting written documentation to ensure you fully understand the terms. Transparency is essential, and I hope this review encourages Planet Fitness franchises like Supreme Fitness to prioritize clearer communication with their members, especially when minors are involved. I can assure the company that based on New York codes you have violated my child rights I have forward your organization a notice. Hope you do not disregard it.
