If it's cold or rainy outside you can still be guaranteed exercise in a happy environment that will foster the development of your child!

My family attended my Godson's 1st birthday at My Gym today. It's tucked into the corner of a shopping strip off Shelbyville Rd. My Gym hosts open playtime, which you can pay per trip or by membership. For the party, we had the building to ourselves. I loved that because we are a big group and could socialize and mingle. Typically the parties are 1.5 hrs but my cousin paid for 30 minutes of additional time. Chairs and benches were around the room so the bulk of guests had a seat, and they allowed food, drinks and a cake to be brought in. My cousin had quick snacks like chips, crock pot of hot dogs and coolers of drinks. The kids had a great time playing in the ball pit, jumping on the trampoline, and playing on other adventure sets. They were required to remove socks and shoes, and adults in the play area had to only remove their socks. They were hot, sweaty and worn out by the end of the party. We had one employee there to oversee the party. She helped us complete waivers online, which can also be done in advance. She was really friendly and laid back, which I appreciated, especially when the party was over and we were frantically cleaning up. My Gym is geared to kids 8 yr and younger, and is a great way to burn off energy.

Separation time :-)

I am a fan and 4-year member at OTF... but something irked me today during my regular 10:45 Sunday…read moreclass at Orangetheory Fitness in Middletown/Louisville, KY... I had a new instructor named, Zan (at least new to me) and she approached me in the gym area before class and reprimanded me for taking an isolated shot of an empty treadmill and empty rower. Said photos aren't allowed. First, this is news to me as just about every week someone is snapping a group shot after a workout or a selfie etc... My pic was for a personal streak with a gal pal as a show of solidarity to working out. Anyway, I am cool with Corporate Policy BUT if a staffer is going to approach you in that matter they need to say & explain the following: 1) Cite pictures are not allowed due to Company Policy 2) Tell the person why it is Company Policy (example: hospitals are protecting privacy). This was an empty gym - I have no clue why that isn't permitted. 3) Take a soft approach when talking to a customer 4) Be consistent with your messaging. Don't allow pictures one day and not another. Mixed messages never go ever well. This review is coming from a gal who likes the results of OTF but really wants the Franchise to know they need to train young coaches and staffers up in regards to Communications.

It was hard to get started, but everyone was so supportive! There are many options for the cardio aspect of the work out, you can choose: running on the treadmill or walking (lots of people walk, don't worry about being the only one), glider (elliptical), or the bike. The rower is also incorporated in either the cardio or the weight lifting portion of the work out. Don't let the idea of weights scare you. The instructors help you every step of the way. It's like a private trainer without the private cost! The trainers were able to modify every exercise I needed to accommodate my injury. Plus, if you need a reminder of the exercise, there are videos playing to review as needed. Plus the music is fun and the heart monitor is an awesome tool to know when to push harder or back off! Try out a free class and join me!

Always. Are they fun? Absolutely. Joe pushes me to be my best and get the most out of me each time we train. But he also knows my limitations and never pushes me more than I can take. I always feel refreshed and invigorated when we get done. WholeBeing is the real deal... he not only addresses your physical self, but your mental and spiritual needs as well. He looks at the whole person to see what you need to reach your goals. He has helped me to stay competitive at an older age (over 50) and tailored my workouts to fit my interests (competitive mountain biking). Recently, Joe has been training my high school daughter to improve her lacrosse game. He has helped mold her into a serious athlete and a chance at playing DIV I college athletics. Don't think twice about working with Joe, he is one of the best around.

As an Pediatric Occupational Therapist i would definitely recommend him to some of my families. Personally, if you are looking to make major changes in your health, check him out! I've been with him 2 years now and I've benefited way more than just weight loss. So much has been added to my life because of him, thanks Joe Palmieri WholeBeing.

I am so happy that I have *finally* found a place to workout that I am legit obsessed with…read more.. Hotworx has only been around for about a year, so not for very long. They offer the option to come in and try a free class, and that was what I did. Their staff were very friendly, answered all of my questions, and were available via text. After trying the first class, I signed up right then - I had such a great time! Hortworx is a facility that offers infrared sauna workouts - yoga, pilates, cycling, rowing.... a LOT of options, so it doesn't feel redundant. The saunas can fit up to 3 people, but after coming in regularly I've noticed that most people prefer to book during an empty time, so you will almost always have it to yourself (and I LOVE that!) To be honest, if it ever got to a point where I had to share a sauna with 2 other people it probably wouldn't be enjoyable, but it doesn't seem like they are ever that crowded. The saunas have TVs that show recorded workouts for you do follow on your own. It varies by workout, but each session is offered every 30-45 minutes and is open to members 24 hours a day. There are staffed hours, but when the staff is not there, you are given a door code to let yourself in. Another thing I love... the independence. I feel like I can come in at my own time and don't ever feel like anyone is hovering over me. There is also a small gym section where you can use weights and other equipment. The sauna workouts are very enjoyable. This was my first time trying 'hot' workouts, so I was a bit nervous at first but I adapted quickly. Not only do I feel like I'm getting a good workout, but the saunas have helped detox my body and make me feel amazing after each session. Pricing was another huge factor that lured me in. For $60 a month, I feel like having an unlimited variety of workouts is TOTALLY worth it. You do have to purchase their bamboo mat, but again, I still felt like it was worth it and it is a very nice quality. There is also a premium membership, $70 a month, where you can visit any location and have a 'virtual personal trainer' on their app. I'm really happy with Hortworx and can't wait to keep working out here.
