So, I see there is a lot of negative reviews. My family's personal experience was outstanding. My youngest child had a deep cavity that was worked on. The dentist that worked on my child, was so great. I got to sit in the room and see everything. The dentist made my child feel comfortable, and safe. She explained every little thing she was doing, and took she was using. The dentist explained it in a way a child could understand. The dentist noticed that she did not have to go as deep as the General Dentist had stated. So, the dentist took off the Code from our bill. False claims by this dentist. After reviewing this explanation of benefits I notice three services are listed that did not occur. Proc Code D1120: Prophylaxis - child. Proc Code D1206: Fluoride Varnish. Proc D1330 Oral hygiene instruction. My wife and I were sitting in the room with my son during this first time visit and none of these services were done. It's very frustrating to see them listed here when Sarah refused to show my son how to brush, tell me "that's for mom and dad to do" (D1330). In addition to those three 100% false claims, I had to pay more to Dr Eric Dixson (Take your kid there) to take new x-rays because these were so bad. Code D0220, D0230,D0230 should all be void as the x-rays were very bad and missing half his teeth. Sarah Silverstein did a horrible job with us. She lied on our insurance claim about Prophylaxis, Fluoride Varnish and refused to show our kid how to brush, but was happy to file a claim "Oral hygiene instruction". She wanted to do root canals and crowns! He is 3 years old, 100% normal kid. We took him to Eric Dixon and they not only didn't need to do any root canals or crowns, they actually put in some effort to educate our son on how to brush and made him LOVE THE DENTIST. Don't take your kid here. They're liars who don't care about their clients. My kid never had a service, just 1 exam. Couldn't even get a quote without calling 3 times. Worst of the worst. read more

Don't make a mistake like our family did and go here. In all my years as a business owner I have never seen such a poorly run office. A women who claims she is the manager is refusing to allow me either to talk to our Doctor (Dr. Rayna) or the owner of the clinic over an incident my wife and daughter endured today ! I called to cancel my sons dental appointment because his dog was hit by a car and almost died. He cannot be left alone per the Emergency vet clinics recommendations. I was informed that our deposit would not be returned even though this was 14 days in advance. Even if I reschedule for the fallowing month I would have to pay another $200 deposit. So I am forced to keep this appointment and put my dogs health at risk. How can you feel comfortable working with a business that has no sympathy for a severe health situation with a beloved family dog? How am I supposed to trust a business with my sons health and life going under anesthesia when they have proven they don't have sympathy for life? That makes me very uncomfortable and very discouraged from using this business in the future. read more

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Rayna Karoll, DMD here for over two years. The staff here is always kind, gentle, patient, and knowledgeable. My dentist has always been up to date with the latest dental treatments. We were able to get a fluoride treatment a couple years ago which helped to slow the decay of a cavity, preventing my daughter from needing anesthesia or fillings. They have a play area in the waiting room and TVs in every patient room above the chairs so that the kids can watch cartoons while they have their dental work completed. Just great patient care, and no gimmicks! read more

We've been coming here for about 3 years after a horrific experience at The Super Dentist. I like that everyone here at this office is kind, understanding and honest. You're not just walking dollar signs. My kids absolutely love Dr. Rayna and she's never makes children or parents feel ashamed of any condition their teeth are in. Mike at the front desk is always accommodating and sweet when it comes to our crazy schedule changes...It's creating a generation of people who aren't scared of the dentist. The kids dentist here is great. The office staff, specifically the receptionist/office manager, is not. The service.....well to put it lightly....sucks. I also believe that they overcharge patients for things that may not be a necessity. Meaning you will walk out paying triple what you walked in planning to spend. I will look for another kids dental office for future needs. I don't like feeling like I am being jerked around on what my child needs. Also, I'd like better service and given what we are paying here I expect the receptionist/office manager to be kind and explain things with patience. The Doctors here are great. However the customer service from the manager and front desk is horrible. My daughter has been coming to this dentist for six years because the doctors always made her feel comfortable. The front desk staff is really unprofessional and thinks it's ok to give attitude to customers. Numerous times I've asked the staff to update my personal information and it never has been updated. I've never experienced horrible customer experience in my life. This place made me feel very uncomfortable and angry, and to make it even better, no apology from My Kids Dentist! This all came from an honest mistake with the appointment time, I unfortunately missed my appointment(12pm) and thought it was scheduled at a later time(4pm). Geez make sure you never miss your appointment! The front desk copped the biggest attitude and asked for me to replay my voicemail. Then got upset because I didn't return her call to 'confirm' the appointment. Very unprofessional. They scheduled my kids for an appointment 4 months ago and today when we went in, they told us that the dentist is not available. Not a f*king courtesy call ahead of time! And then they told us that the dentist is only available every Wed and Thu. Then why the f--- did they schedule us on a Monday? You know when doctors charge you for missing appointments? They should do the same thing too for doctors cancelling appointments. People have too work around their own schedule too. Bad business practices. Stay away. read more

I chose My Kid's Dentist for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. I thought the kid friendly atmosphere and Pediatric specialists would ease her into going to the Dentist. I was right! The staff and Dentist were wonderful with my daughter. Though she initially cried during the teeth counting/brushing, she was fine immediately after and even wanted her Dentist to hold her. They were so good with her and explained what the visit would entail very thoroughly. After the exam was over my daughter was given a brand new electric toothbrush, a ballon, a sticker and got to choose a toy from the toy bin. She was thrilled. Brought my kids for check up and fillings. It was my 5yr olds 1st time getting a cavity filled. Dr Sarah made him feel so comfortable and talked to him the whole time. She told him she was taking the yellow/red/orange sugar bugs out lol as she was working on him to not make him feel scared. She named every super hero to see which he liked. I took my son in for his first dental appointment not knowing what to expect. Just recently changed insurance through work and was looking for a kid friendly dentist. I wanted to stay away from the hype ie, super dentist... I have to say that I made a great choice. I really enjoyed the staff. Very professional and above all my son was not intimidated at all. The dentist was very kid friendly and very informative. It was nice to be able to fill out all the paperwork required online. It was very convenient. We originally had an appointment for 12:45 pm. I received a phone call from Jennifer (she is the receptionist) and asked us if our appointment can be moved to 11:00 am and she proceeded to tell me to come in earlier to fill out paperwork. We got there at 10:34 am. At 1:00 pm, we still weren't seen. We were told that we would have to wait for however long it takes, otherwise, we would be charged $700 to cancel the appointment. We waited for over two hours. I cannot speak for the care because we couldn't wait any longer, but their policy is ludicrous. read more

My son has been going here for years. The dentist and hygienist are really wonderful. Unfortunately I have reached the end of my patience with how the office is run. My most recent experience was that an appointment had been put in at the wrong time. I called to resolve the issue and was informed that there wasn't a pediatric dentist available for the appointment anyway, as the dentist is on maternity leave and the relief dentist didn't have any availability. This appointment was made 6 months ago. I asked when they were planning on calling me to let me know they would have to cancel my appointment and I don't remember exactly what she said but it was unsatisfactory. There was no apology or even acknowledgement of how messed up it was. The lack of customer service was just too much. I had to call 3 times on 3 days to get my kids' dental x-rays emailed to me for their new dentist, apparently they were too swamped to send an email in a timely manner. I'm sad to have to switch my kids to a different provider but I'm relieved at the possibility of a more efficiently (and politely) run office. read more

This practice started off great and went downhill quick. They canceled several appointments with our dentist since she was on maternity leave but when it came to reschedule, they canceled again by sending an email. Tried to set up another appointment and this time I got the worst treatment over the phone by an "Ashley". Placed me on hold the first time and eventually forgot about me and the call disconnected after 10 minutes. Called back and she asked to put me on hold again. This time I refused since I had been disconnected and I explained that to her. No apology. Proceeded to argue with me about placing me on hold and needing to check patient's in. I am the patient's parent. I need to be assisted as well. She then tells me she's the only one there and everyone else is on lunch. Well, that's not my problem. She then says I can call you back to which I replied when? In 10, 15, 20, 30 minute? She tells me she cannot give me a time and if I am unsatisfied with the service I can go somwhere else. That's the best advice you've given. This was 9/16/22 and to date no one has called me back or attempted to reach out. So, if you like poor treatment this is the place for you. I will never come back and I will spread the word to anyone and everyone about this practice and the lack of care for their clients/ patients. read more

I used to take my children to The Super Dentist in Eastlake. I had three terrible experiences there so I needed to find a new Dentist ASAP. I decided to try My Kid's Dentist since I'd seen it several times, while being in that area. It isn't as close to me as the other place but it's worth the drive. I've been taking my kids here for a couple of years now and we've had a great experience here every time. We have Dr. Rayna Karoll and she is wonderful. Dr. Karoll and the staff always makes my kids feel at ease and they are very friendly. The office is clean and has cute decor too! I recommend this place to my friends all of the time. read more

My son has a lump in his jaw after having an infection in his mouth and I have tried to get a referral for an oral surgeon because I had to take him into an out of town dentist for a pano. I have called 5 times and gotten a hold of someone twice to be told that they promise to give me a call back the next day. Every time I do not receive a call back. I have left three other messages and never a call back. I have only spoken to someone when I get in touch with them when I have called. They return 0 calls and I'm trying to get my poor six year old treatment for the lump Believe to be blocked infection, drained. This is absurd. The actual Dentist was fine the last time me saw her, but management and staff are HORRIBLE!!!! This has happened TWICE so never again will I come here! I had an appointment for my kids this morning scheduled months in advance and even received email reminders and confirmations leading up to the appointment only to show up for my 8am appointment and the office is CLOSED! We got there about 10 mins early, so i wait until 8am, but the door is still locked. I call in and speak to someone on the other side of the office who tells me that the Kid's Dentist doesn't come in on Wednesdays...then WHY THE HECK would you schedule us for a Wednesday appointment?! She tells me that the system shows my kids have an appointment 2 weeks later @ 10am -WOW really?! That would have been nice to know! How are you going to reschedule my appointment without telling or asking me? AND like I mentioned before - I have 2 separate email confirmations stating my kids are scheduled today @ 8am!!!! I asked to speak with the office manager, but conveniently she's not in until later. I left my information so we'll see if she even contacts me. The un-genuine, un-enthusiastic "I apologize for the inconvenience" I received wasn't too convincing either. If you know the Dentist doesn't come in on Wednesdays, first - why would you even schedule a Wednesday appointment, 2nd - if it was scheduled in error or something changed, why wouldn't you CALL ME to reschedule and 3rd - why send out confirmation emails to appointments that aren't going to happen?!?! I have 3 young children and I work full time. Taking time off work, mentally preparing the kids for the appointment and then getting them all ready to go first thing in the morning is not an easy task! For a "Kids Dentist" office, the staff are far from kid friendly! I won't be coming back, and I'll be advising anyone thinking of coming here to stay away! I took a quick peek at some of the other reviews and noticed that I'm not the first person to have this happen to. They obviously don't care as nothing is being done to correct this issue. read more

As soon as you walk in a great friendly staff is there to welcome you. We love miss Jennifer the office manager, she always answers my questions clearly and respectfully. Dr Rayna is amazing! She is always so great/patient with my daughter (a "strong willed" 2yr old). Their support staff is also so sweet and accommodating. I truly enjoy bringing my daughter to this office and I know she likes coming here too. She did not want to leave by the end of it. The staff at My kids dentist are awesome. I bring my 4 yr old and they have been so great with her and made her feel comfortable and not afraid of that drill or the chair!! The office manager however, Jennifer is far from professional, respectful or friendly. Every time we come in she has messed up billing where we end up with random credits. My husband at our last appointment asked to speak directly to her about a billing issue. This was before the appt and we saw the front desk tell her we wanted to speak to her, she never turned around or came out from her computer. After the appt we asked again and she again never acknowledged us and kept chatting with a staff member. She is rude and i have filed a formal complaint with my provider and will be looking elsewhere. Its too bad because my daughter loved the staff. read more

I was taking my children here for almost 2 years. The hygienist are really sweet but they are the only good thing I can say. There is always a new receptionist and dentist. My kids never see the same dentist more than 2xs. What's the point in taking a child into the same office for years and gets a new Dr each time. My last appointment was the worst. I went in 20 minutes early. Waited and waited for my appointment. People who came in 30+ minutes after me were seen before me. They had totally forgotten we were there even though I had checked in with the receptionist! If I hadn't gone to the desk they would've kept me waiting forever. We ended up walking out. Also one of kids doesn't do well with sealants and I always have to remind them. The Drs also don't take your concerns seriously. No fluoride means no fluoride but to them it means "go ahead and do it anyways and have the kid crying and drooling all over the place". Never ever returning to this place. It has happened twice and that is why I decided to write a review. First, In the Adult side of this dentist place. I called in and schedule for a specific treatment and the receptionist confirmed what I was going in for and that I would only be paying $79 out of pocket. I come in and No one knew what I was in for and they did a routine check up and then tell me I need a deep cleaning for $150 which I paid at the moment, then they found a cavity and wanted me to agree to pay who knows how much and when I disagreed to get it done they got bothered. I told the lady well I didn't even get done what I actually schedule for. Second, with my child they found a cavity and reception told me it would be $224 with the white covering or about $74 with silver covering of the cavity. I choose the cheaper one of course and in that moment the dentists assistant came over and receptionist asked her "are we going to see this patient in one treatment or two? When I was already told one. When the assistant saw the cheaper price she said oh have her come in two visits. So now my silver covering came out to $334 how is that possible, I asked the receptionist said well we have to see her in two visits and its the sedation. I said but they said she didn't need sedation, so I didn't schedule anything. Not going back. read more

On Dec 1st we had a very ugly experience with the manager J. Dryefus. This person not only failed miserably in customer service, but became aggressive and threatened my wife. Be very careful when dealing with this person. In her mind, not only is the customer always wrong, but she boasts about it too. It's amazing that a corporation would have a person like this in charge of a professional dental practice. I bring my kids here since I really like Dr. Ryan. I think he is amazing and so is the Dental Assistants but the worst part of them is the unreliability. Like what happened to us they have to reschedule my daughters crown appointment under sedation and can you believe that I have to call them four times. They always said they will call me back and never did that happen. Next was my I need an oral health assessment form filled out for my daughter and so I faxed it and one wk have passed no response so I called twice before they ever got to send it. How unreliable huh! Next was my daughters appt was in the thurs morning they even confirmed it on a Monday and the day before they're asking to move it in the afternoon. And I'm like these guys are so inconsistent. How awful is that when you like the dentist but the people around him is not. I was asked during the confirmation call if I'd like to complete the forms on line but decided not to. She had a horrible and traumatizing experience at the "Super Dentist". When we found My Kids Dentist office, I was worried that she would not cooperate. Everyone from the lady at the front desk to the hygienist to the doctor made her feel comfortable and at ease. I was shocked that she let them take x-rays and clean her teeth.
