    Dr. Alingog is the best!

Dr. Rene Alingog and his staff are excellent. He combines professional expertise & the latest dentistry technology in a caring environment for children. The waiting room is extremely kid-friendly, as are the large examination rooms that are furnished with a tv, play area & extra seating for parents & siblings. Dr. Alingog uses a Nomad hand-held digital x-ray that is easy to use with active kids & emits low radiation. The instant computer images speed along an appointment. The doctor & staff are also very patient & thorough about teaching kids dental hygiene. My daughter came home looking forward to flossing her teeth. A+ all around for the quality of dental care & patient service.

Been here a few times. The service is great. I love that i can make an appointment and actually get called at my time and be taken care off. The staff is very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this pkace for any kid service.

This review was written for their dentistry but I decided to post the same one here as it reflects Dr. Rene & Dr. Pat's awesomeness! Considering my childhood experiences going to the dentist, I had to ensure that my children would not associate any fear that will haunt them until their adulthood. Upon doing research, I was blessed to have stumbled upon this dentistry. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their office is equipped with tvs, games & books to entertain anxious kids. They definitely accomodate to children. Because this was their 1st visit, they introduced them to all the instruments they would be using in a fun and silly way, which definitely left a lasting impression on the kids. This was a great ice breaker and from that point on, every visit has been a breeze and they look forward to going every time ( they love getting tokens to pick a prize after their visit ) In addition, they are great with spending time to explain to the parents, like myself, what procedures would take place, any risks or options and do not pressure you. They also have great hospitality and offer coffee or water, thats just a side note bonus. Id be glad to recommend them to anyone! They are amazing!

Just got teeth cleaned up :-D

The staff is friendly and caring, my kids love coming here. I've been coming here since they where 3 & 5 years of age. They take their time with their work and they do it well. My kid had 2 crowns put in and they did a great job. They are the best at what they do.

Waiting area, complete with computer stations for the kids, magazines, books, and free Java ! Yay!

If 100 stars were possible, that's what this office would get. Love the kid friendly ambiance, the staff, and our Doc, Dr Nadia and her nurse Audrey. My girls always look forward to their visits and are pampered with a free movie during their procedure, surprises after, and just the most fantastic and friendly staff. Laughing gas for today's procedure {lol} and free coffee for mom. What else can I say? Thanks ! You guys are awesome!

My little Supergirl's first visit. Enjoying the cool shades while watching the ceiling television.

When Dr. Rene left so did the outstanding customer service. We now have a wonderful dentist, Dr.Silvia Toma, who treats our entire family.

My kids actually enjoy coming here, which says a lot! The staff is incredibly patient and accommodating, especially with little ones like my youngest who aren't the biggest fans of cleanings. They take their time, communicate clearly, and create an environment that feels safe and supportive. Everything runs so smoothly--it's truly a well-oiled machine. Even the team members behind the scenes who handle texts, scheduling, and rescheduling are responsive and kind, which I really appreciate as a busy mom. I honestly wish I could come here as an adult! More than anything, I love that they're not just providing a service--they're helping teach my kids lifelong habits around dental hygiene in such a positive way. Grateful for this team and the care they provide!

However the three stars knocked off because the front desk is extremely rude. Right when you walk in, they ignore you and point to a kiosk to check in and don't make eye contact like they are avoiding you on purpose. Mind you I've only been here twice. And each visit was the same. They also NEVER answer their phone calls even if you leave a voice mail. Their main form of communication is text message. They reschedule through text and answer any questions through text. Also last time I checked out, one of the ladies at the front desk (couldn't catch her name) was talking to her coworker in front of me for like a good 3 minutes and it was completely unrelated to my visit. I felt like I was a burden burdening their conversation, and she asked me with the most annoyed tone if I was free a month out after they were done. Not "hi, I can help you right here" or "did you get everything you needed today?" Like I'm burdening you with your 3 minutes of conversation? The picture even says please DO NOT CALL. please tell me this a joke? What's the point of having a receptionist if I'm burdening them and they don't want to speak to customers? Text is NOT a professional form of communication.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at South Bay Pediatric Dental Group (Eastlake),…read morespecifically with Dr. Todd Pacofsky. I brought my daughter in for what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. I was asked to sign a form beforehand that was presented as standard for the visit, but it now appears it may have been used as broad consent for additional procedures. After the cleaning, Dr. Pacofsky told me my daughter had no cavities and that her teeth were healthy. The only recommendation discussed with me was sealants, which I agreed to. Before any work was done, I confirmed with the front desk that there would be no cost associated with the sealants. At no point was I informed of any other procedures or asked to consent to anything beyond that. Later, I received a bill showing that additional procedures--resin composite fillings--had been performed on two of my daughter's teeth. I never authorized this treatment, and it was never discussed with me. This is especially concerning since I was explicitly told my daughter had no decay. When I followed up with Dr. Pacofsky, he acknowledged that the work was done for staining, not cavities, and admitted that this was not clearly communicated or documented ahead of time. He also stated that resin composite was billed because there is no billing code for "preventive resin," despite the significant difference in how such procedures are processed by insurance. As a result, my insurance was billed for a procedure typically used to treat decay--something my daughter did not have--which raises serious concerns about overbilling and billing practices. I was also told by Dentist Todd that the front desk was unaware of the additional procedure because it had not been annotated in his notes. Despite being told the charges would be removed by Dentist Todd, I have yet to receive confirmation or resolution. As a parent, I expect clear communication and the opportunity to give informed consent before any procedure is performed on my child. That did not happen here. I would strongly advise other parents to avoid this dental office or make sure to ask detailed questions, request clear treatment plans in writing, and ensure they fully understand and approve any procedures before treatment begins.

I asked the receptionist how they would approach my son now that he was so traumatized by how the last clinic treated him, and I felt reassured in my son being able to find joy again at the dentist with how she walked me through their approach. So confident that I think our first visit was just a few days after the traumatizing visit at the other practice. We did some acclimation visits which were ALL on happy notes. Now, my son happily goes to the chair on his own, is not afraid of any instruments, giggles and chats with the hygienists and techs - and it only took just a few visits. His first visit was in January. Second was in February and he was still getting warmed up. I think it was his 3rd visit in March that really got the ball rolling. I don't remember how many in total he has been to between March and now May m, but I will say that it has been a complete night and day transformation. He is so receptive to trying new things at the dentist now. The staff really knows how to be personable with kids instead of rushing them. I have already recommended this practice to all my mom friends because of how much faith I have in this team in repairing my son's relationship with dental professionals.

My son's appointment was scheduled for 1:30 p.m., and we arrived at 1:20 p.m., as most offices recommend checking in 10-15 minutes early. At check-in, no one informed us that the office was running behind or that there would be a significant delay. We were not called back until approximately 2:30 p.m.--an hour after the scheduled appointment time. Once we were seated in the treatment room, we waited another 20 minutes while the dentist finished with another patient. I expected my son to be seen next, but instead, the dentist began treating another child. At that point, after already waiting well over an hour, we decided to leave rather than continue waiting with no idea of when we would actually be seen. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of communication. No one apologized for the delay, provided updates, or gave us an estimated wait time. After we left, I expected at least a phone call acknowledging what happened, offering an explanation, apologizing, or attempting to reschedule the appointment. None of that happened. I also work in healthcare and I understand that unexpected delays can occur in healthcare, but clear communication and consideration for patients' time are essential. Unfortunately, this experience felt extremely inconvenient, inconsiderate, and like a complete waste of our afternoon. I hope the office improves its scheduling practices and communication so other families don't have a similar experience.

I trusted their professional judgment and agreed to the recommended treatment. During the procedure, the numbing injection was incredibly painful. I've had fillings before, so I knew this didn't feel normal. I remember thinking maybe they just used a different technique, so I trusted the process and didn't question it. Looking back, I wish I had advocated for myself. Ever since that filling was completed, that tooth has been in pain. I lived with that pain for the next 2-3 months, hoping it would eventually go away. Instead, I pushed it to the back of my mind and convinced myself it would get better. When I finally flew back to the D.C. area, I went to the dentist I've trusted for the past 10 years. He took new X-rays of the painful tooth and diagnosed me with pulpitis, an inflammation of the dental pulp. He also showed me that the new filling extended beyond the previous filling. He expressed concern about whether that additional drilling was necessary. He couldn't say for certain that it wasn't, but the look on his face and our conversation were concerning to me. I'm not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I'm simply sharing the facts. During my comprehensive exam and X-rays at Smiles of Eastlake, there was no indication of inflammation in that tooth. After the filling was done, I developed constant pain in that same tooth and was later diagnosed with pulpitis by another dentist. My biggest issue with Smiles of Eastlake was that the office felt rushed and impersonal. It felt more like a high-volume practice than one focused on individualized patient care. Once my trust was broken, I wasn't comfortable returning. This review is really about two things. First, if you choose Smiles of Eastlake, proceed with caution. Ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Second, listen to your body. I ignored persistent pain for 2-3 months because I assumed it would get better. It didn't. Whether this outcome could have been prevented, I don't know, but I do know that ignoring my symptoms wasn't the right decision. I hope my experience encourages someone else to trust their instincts and seek care sooner.
