Update- so my child ended up having several things done, and general anesthesia was recommended because of my kid's anxiety with dr offices and the ability to cooperate... Dr. Lee (anesthesiologist) has been doing this for over 35 years and he was awesome, and had a great sense of humor. My kid's dentist (Dr. Pat) worked quickly and thoroughly. (A big deal when anesthesia is charged hourly!)... I was able to meet dr. Rene who happen to be in the office, and he too was very friendly. They really value their patients and their customer service is on point. The parent is taken care of just as much as the child. You are offered a beverage while waiting and checked up on frequently. This is a fairly new practice, about 5+ years old, but the office runs very smoothly. And yes, no complaints on their dentistry. My kid had a tooth pulled and a spacer placed, a crown put in, and I believe a few other things.. I was waiting for my kid to start complaint of pain after the anesthesia wore off, but no complaints of ANY pain at all... If you're done with overcrowded express dental service this is the place for you!!!!! I was referred to Dr. Alingog after my teenager's dentist moved out of state. I'm impressed with the ambiance, service, and staff. Everyone is always friendly and it's never over crowded. I immediately referred my niece to Dr. Alingog. My niece has been terrified of dental visits since she could remember. Let's just say she loved and didn't want to leave the dental office. She fell in love with the dental crocodile and the inviting room was an immediate hit. On another note, my younger children have been patients of the Super Dentist since 2007. Completely disappointed with their lack of customer service today. I had an appointment for both my kids scheduled a month in advance so I could take time off work for this appt. I make it to my appointment on time and the receptionist tells me that my kids insurance isn't active. I asked why didnt they call me before wasting my time missing work which I don't get paid for and driving all the way to Eastlake which is no where near my job or babysitter?! Yes I changed my cell phone but they only tried it once and didn't even bother to try my alternate number which is my work number with extension which goes directly to me. When I come for appointments they are never busy. They just sit there and can't even call an alternative number or shoot me an email? Nope. My theory? They are too lazy to do that! I shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job. And you can see the receptionist doesnt even care. She doesnt apologize and ignores me when I question her why she didn't call my alternate number. Why do you ask for it if your not going to use it! She only offers to give me proof of the inactive insurance which she printed out for me anyway after telling her twice I didn't 't need it then throws it away. Great way to waste papers and trees! Doctors are great but customer service definitely needs to be addressed. You can never get back time and my time was wasted and they did not even care about it because they are too busy doing nothing at their desk to care. This review was written for their dentistry but I decided to post the same one here as it reflects Dr. Rene & Dr. Pat's awesomeness! Considering my childhood experiences going to the dentist, I had to ensure that my children would not associate any fear that will haunt them until their adulthood. Upon doing research, I was blessed to have stumbled upon this dentistry. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Their office is equipped with tvs, games & books to entertain anxious kids. They definitely accomodate to children. Because this was their 1st visit, they introduced them to all the instruments they would be using in a fun and silly way, which definitely left a lasting impression on the kids. This was a great ice breaker and from that point on, every visit has been a breeze and they look forward to going every time ( they love getting tokens to pick a prize after their visit ) In addition, they are great with spending time to explain to the parents, like myself, what procedures would take place, any risks or options and do not pressure you. Took my 3yr old for a consult since I was not happy with the previous pediatric dentist, service wise. First of, very friendly staff from the front desk to the back office. To top it off Dr. Rene is just personable and takes his time explaining the whole process to us. It was such a great experience that I was scheduling my other daughter for a future visit and they offered to see her the same day. How often do you see that happen? Where do I even start?!!! I've been taking my son here since he was 5 years old, he's now 15. Dr Rene is the BEST!!! I can't say enough how wonderful and caring he is to his patients. With every visit, he makes you feel like family. He remembers every single patient. I recommend him to everyone I know that has kids. I see his wife for my dental needs and my son sees him. I took my 1.5 yr old here for his first dental visit and I absolutely loved it. Having it been my son's first visit to the dentist, ever, and him being relatively young, I was extremely nervous. Our morning started a little late so we arrived about 15 mins late to our scheduled appointment time. When I got there the first thing I noticed was how clean and nice the waiting room was. I usually don't let my son play with toys in waiting rooms because they usually look really old and dirty but I had no problem letting him run around, explore, and play with the toys. This made filling out paperwork a thousand times easier than usual. It also helped that their system was electronic so rather than flipping through a packet of paperwork to fill out, I was given an iPad to input our information. When we were called to the back, the dental assistant asked me a few questions regarding my son's dental health, gave me some information on do's and don't's and provided pictures of possible negative outcomes. She then told me what to expect when the Dr. comes in to examine my son. As soon as she left the room, it was less than 5 minutes that Dr. Alingog came back with his dental assistant. There were a few tears, which was to be expected, but the visit went smoothly and went by extremely fast. read more

Love love LOVE this place. I never liked going to the dentist and I was very nervous to take my daughter to just any dentist. I resaerched many places and finally came upon this place. I chose it because of Yelp reviews of course and now I feel like I should put in my two cent too :) This location is only bout 4 miles from my house so its a big plus! No problem finding the place and parking is always available. The facility is very clean and kids friendly. Many games to choose from, table to computer games, and books for parents and children to keep us occupied. I really really like the office setting, it's not intimidating like when I was a kid (like the smell of medicine and sounds of drilling ). All of the staff are wonderful!. Very polite, helpful and patience. I love the process that they go through when we are settled in for the procedure. They explained everything to us, and before they start on her, they would explain to her what they are going to do and why. The part that I liked the most was when they explain every tool to my daughter before they used it. I feel that that made her more comfortable knowing whats going on and not feel intimidated by all the sounds and etc. My daughter is only 5 years old and is not scared of the dentist. She's always asking when we are coming back after we are done. We had to come here for about 4 session due to all of her cavities. I highly recommend this place to every parents for their children! Sad, Unfortunately most dental offices like these are run off bases of money/greed, and not patient centered. I first contacted this dental office last week 06/05/17 8:00 AM when my daughter was experiencing a tooth ache on her second upper right molar. I spoke with the receptionist/manager/billing expert, Melissa, and I explained that I was in need of a new patient emergency tooth ache appointment. She stated that there were no appointments until mid July. She then continued to ask me "what insurance do you have?", and "is it a PPO or EPO." I replied that my insurance is PPO, she then had the audacity to tell me that she could work me into the schedule at 9:30 AM that day or the next day, after telling me there were none. So it turns out if you have a PPO insurance they are able to accommodate you best. Being at work that day, I explained to Melissa that I could not leave work in such short notice, and that I would call back if I couldn't find a later appointment for that day else where. I decided to call back and take the 9:30 AM for the next day, and accepted we would be seen between appointments. The following morning my husband called because he could not find the dental office. He provided a landmark (Animal Hospital) to were he was located near the address, and the receptionist could not help direct him to the office, as she was unaware of his location. She then informed my husband of the building entrance and street, and said they did not have a sign. Once in the office the staff was not welcoming or friendly. The dental office took it upon themselves to conduct a full exam and xrays, when I had specifically called in for ONLY an emergency tooth ache appointment. General Anesthesia was the only option recommended to be able to complete my daughter's treatment. Being a mom with both a medical and dental background, I disagreed to have my COMPLIANT child be put to sleep for BASIC restorative treatment. I have since visited another office, and I had to pay for consultation costs because Chula Vista Pediatric Dentistry was unethical in their practice and billing. My daughters treatment was completed under LOCAL anesthesia at another office. read more

My daughters very FIRST dental appointment was at a different location. Pediatric dentist as well. She didnt like it at all. She kicked and screamed at the end when the doctor started "counting" her teeth checking for cavities. 9 months later... I wanted to try a new place. I found this place just by browsing google. Office/Lobby/Waiting Room has a kids setting. Books, childrens video games, a few toys. Very simple and child like. I liked it. Staff was AMAZING! The dental assistants were so friendly! When my daughters name was called we walked towards the door and the lady asked if i wanted coffee! Really? coffee?!! I thought that was awesome! My daughter got comfortable really quick. I really loved how they used positive reinforcement for every step they took. They would tell my daughter how great she was. They would use words like "awesome" "great job" "high five". Just hearing those words made me feel comfortable. I didnt even have to sit right next to my daughter. I sat on a sofa a few distances away and my daughter didnt even cry for me. When Dr. Rene came to check her cavities, he also used positive reinforcement to make my daughters nervousness go away. At the very end, one of the assistants came back to show my daughter a book full of Good and Bad teeth. She explained to my daughter different things about taking good care of her teeth and made sure she understood. Everything was focused on how my daughter would understand which, was nice. Everything went so great that this time around im actually going to get her teeth fixed at this location. They are very accomodating and understanding to parents financial standings and are very willing to work payments out. About HALF the price the previous dentist was asking for. I definitely recommend this place! read more

I just took my daughter here today for the first time. The staff is wonderful and the office is beautiful and inviting and comfortable. Dr. Rene is great! He's honest and very kind. So good with my daughter. The technicians were awesome too! We had a dental check up and cleaning. We just moved from another state and my previous dentist said my daughter needed a lot of work which we weren't able to do before we moved. So Dr Rene did X-rays and an examination and told me while she did have some cavities they didn't need any work because she's 9 and her adult teeth would be coming in so it would be a waste, and they weren't bad or bothering her. So glad he was honest!!! He decided to put in sealants which they did in the same appointment. They were so nice and accommodating and Dr Rene is just a kind caring dentist. Ok so I took my son to a different pediatric dentistry prior to Dr. Rene that was advertised all over tv that made the place seem magical but all they did was traumatize my son! They strapped his arms down! So I did my research and decided to try Dr. Rene and !!!!! BEST DENTIST EVER!!! My kids love him and the WONDERFUL STAFF!!! Not to mention that DR. Rene doesn't believe in using the straps! I wish he were around when I was a kid because my dentist growing up was scary! This place rocks! It's so inviting and and peaceful!! After taking my 2 year old to the super dentist and having her not only strapped down and tramatized but having to take her back to fix their crappy work...I took her to dr.alingog....I was VERY impressed. I absolutely love this practice and I won't take her anywhere else. The office was welcoming and fresh. They offered me coffiee! The assistants were very friendly and the doctor was gental and had a very calm spirit. Gentle, friendly, good professional sense of humor, soft voices and lots of smiles. Not to mention professional work. That's why I really enjoy bringing my 6 year old and 2 year old here. A laid-back and welcoming waiting room with toy tables and computers for the kids, and each dental room has a toy table and movie playing on a TV in the ceiling for the kids to watch. A great low stress atmosphere for the kids. And service is timely, no waiting past the appointment time unless someone ahead of you has come in for an emergency. We've always been checked in immediately and called back on time. Dr. Rene's dentist colleagues are great as well. No worries here, but so far my girls have only had check-ups and x-rays. No cavity filling or other dental work yet, thank goodness, so I can't comment on those aspects. I have a 3 yr old and she did great with Dr Rene, i had taken her before to the "super dentist" (is the most advertise ) but even though she was smaller back then they didn't take the time to even talk to me or explain anything they just put fluoride and we were out like that supper fast, not the fast that you want. but when i took her to Dr. Rene he was so nice and patient we her, he explained what he was doing talk to her, (even though shes a toddler that's nice) the staff is so friendly. I absolutely loved my experience here. I took my 13 month old daughter here for her first visit and just like the previous poster, I was nervous. The waiting area is bright, colorful and so inviting to little ones that when I put my clingy daughter down, she had no problems getting into all the play things. The front desk staff were all very kind and cheerful and I was greeted promptly. I had filled out the initial paperwork online so I was a little annoyed when they said they couldn't locate the forms and asked me to do them again. But what can you do? When we were called to the back we encountered the same cheerful, professional attitudes. Love it! The nurse sat me down and allowed my daughter to play and walk around freely while she ran through some informative early dental care information. Everything in the office looked clean and secure, so I wasn't too worried about my daughter getting into anything that she shouldn't get into. When it came time to actually clean my daughter's teeth, it wasn't too bad. Tears were shed, as expected, but not bad at all. The thing that absolutely sold me on how amazing this office and staff is, is when they started cleaning my daughter's teeth and she started to cry, I tried calming her down by singing to her...and wouldn't you know it...the doctor and nurse sang along too! I had tried a couple of dentists before settling and I was never satisfied until I came to pediatric dentistry the dentist is so calm and nice it's amazing before taking my children to the dentist my children being 3 and 5 was a horrible experience now even when they go last visit for getting a cavity filled is like going to Disneyland after my daughter was finished she asked me Mom when can I come back!!!!
