So will update again once we go through the replacement process... I was trying my best to avoid having to write this review but since I cannot get any updates or response pertaining to a quality warranty issue with my exterior door window frame, I felt I had no other choice but to share my experience that I have had with McCann Windows and Exteriors. I purchased 2 ALBANY exterior doors from McCann back in June of 2024. In October of 2025 I noticed that the window frame on one of the doors had shifted and instead of a uniform space around the window frame the bottom right portion now was flush against door frame with a portion overhanging the door frame. I contacted McCann in October and that is when my now almost year long odyssey began. I have spoken via email, text and voice messages with at least four different representatives including the owner, the production manager, a project manager, service tech and others who seem to all follow the same playbook....they apologize for the delay, promise to get back to me with an update and then nothing. I have had to continually go back to them for an update, a status, anything to put this behind me. The last I heard from them was on June 4th, 2026. ..Waiting 10 months to get a resolution is not what I call good customer service. During this period I received regular marketing emails and texts talking about how they treat all their customers as family and appreciate us, but based on my experience this has not been the case. The true measure of a company is how they treat their customer after the sale and specifically how they handle any issues. The doors have a 10 year warranty and specifically a section pertaining to door glass frames. Apparently it may take me that long to get a solution. I am not looking for any more apologies I just want a straight answer. I have all the emails, texts and occasional voice mails that they have sent me and plan to provide regular updates on my experience until it is resolved.

I'm usually not one to spend time getting a bunch of quotes and just rely on Yelp reviews to make a purchasing decision, but this was pricey enough purchase that i figured I should do my due diligence.' Siding & Windows Group was one of the 4 companies I had come out for a quote. We ended up with them for a few reasons: - Their quote was competitive - They were able to spray paint the interior trim with our existing paint color - They were able to match the exterior trim as closely as possible to our windows outside - Anthony at Siding & Windows Group was very responsive We placed the order on August 22nd, which is my bday. I can't say new doors was what i wanted for my bday, but i guess this is being a homeowner in your 40s. The new doors weren't installed until November 6th and we just hoped for no big storms and got lucky. Anthony checked in a few times on when they'd be installed and pushed it back a few days due to other projects. The actual installation took about a day, which wasn't too bad. A week later they came to spray paint, which honestly seemed like a much bigger project than installing the doors. That took 2 days and went smoothly, although there was a little confusion about them not knowing what color to paint, etc. It turned out beautifully and while the doors look very similar to our old doors I like the look of these even better. The exterior finish isn't a perfect match, but i think a big part of that is our old paint on our windows as faded. One day we'll touch it all up, but for now we're looking forward to a break in paying for anything for the house. I learned there are a lot of companies in the area for new windows/doors, but we were satisfied with this one and would use them again.

After that, gave them another try to remodel our master bathroom. Met over Zoom June of 2022, met in person later that month, we were ready to sign a contract that day if they had one, but we waited, and waited, and waited. Reached out in early July, then again in late July, told in early August that they'll have the bid for me shortly. Never heard from them again. Decided to try one more time this year for a siding project. Filled out their online form, was called by someone and reached back out mid-June and never heard back. I really don't mind if a company doesn't want to do business with a particular customer, just let me know so I don't spend time trying to reach out and spin my wheels. All of the other companies we obtained bids from said it couldn't be repaired and quoted 2500 to 3000 for a replacement. Peter came over on a Sunday morning and repaired it expertly. Our front window had a broken sash and required a complete replacement. The replacement cost Peter quoted was a reasonable price and he took out the old damaged window and replaced it with a new one, spending time caulking and finishing the job.
