We recently relocated from Louisville to Honolulu. We have a 14 year old dog who absolutely was coming with us. For those who are not or have not contemplated a move with a dog to Hawaii, it is a process. Hawaii is rabies free, which is a great accomplisment, and its amazing that has been maintained for so long. All that means they take seriously anyone bringing any animal into the state (to the islands). You need the assistance of your existing local vet and several things need to be cooridinated with the animal control folks in Hawaii, the airline you are using, and the dog's (in this case) history. This includes documentation linked to past and current rabies vaccines, an appropriate protocol for managing heart worms and fleas, the data on an inserted micro chip, a blood sample examined by one of three national labs, and a visit to the vet within 10 days of travel to certify the pet is ready and healthy enough to travel by air. Calender items are critical. Several different links, all managed by people, must be coordinated. We got very frustrated until our son in LA connected us with My Pet Mobile Vet and we met Sierra (digitally). What a god send. She picked up all the pieces, made the necessary contacts, helped secure the flight, and basically turned it into a turnkey process for a very reasonable rate. If you are traveling with a pet, particulary if Hawaii is involved, I HIGHLY recommend My Pet Mobile Vet in general and Sierra in particular, if you can get her. My strongest point of refererence: Now that I know the process, I can likely handle it myself. But if I am traveling with out dog again, I won't do that, I will call Sierra immediately. I called 6 mobile vets untl I could find one that was able to come to my boss's home for an emergency visit. I am so glad that I was able to find the people at My Pet Mobile Vet. They came quickly, earlier than the 4 hour window that they promised. The vet was kind and sympathetic and our dog trusted her immediately. When she rang the doorbell 5 minutes later, I thought she was coming back to tell me what they had to do, and she said it was all done. She did it! Our family is SO grateful to Dr. Garcia and his entire team. They are GIFTED in every aspect of veterinary care: compassionate, highly proficient, and with a sophisticated level of bedside manner and ability to communicate information that's hard to hear. We were given some pretty unsettling news about our 15 1/2 year old love bug, but just like that... before the bawling fully kicked in, the doctor was able to offer some hope. Not the empty, unrealistic kind... but real, authentic hope. You just know when someone loves what they do, and cares deeply for animals... and Dr. Garcia really does. I agree with other reviewers that the pricing can *seem* expensive. However, I also agree that taking your pet to any specialty facility will likely come out more expensive because they don't have the same kind of ability to focus on your pet's needs and they tend to want to keep them there/ keep them coming back for extra stuff while you wait at home and wonder what's happening. If you want the best care available for your best friend, don't hesitate for a second to contact them. I really wish every pet parent could have access to such stellar care. To say we are forever grateful to Dr. Gabby Pagana, Nicole (who was in constant communication with me via text and always available to answer questions), and the entire rest of this team is an understatement. Long story short, one of our cats (MJ) who's ~16 years old and FIV-positive developed strange breathing behaviors last Saturday that quickly escalated. Generally, he was lethargic and not quite himself, and then he started suffering severe episodes that left him lying on his side, mouth gaping, gasping for air, heaving ... the visual will never leave me. Given his age, stage, and fragility, we knew taking him to his normal vet wasn't an option - getting in a car, dropping him off in the parking lot (due to COVID regulations), not being able to be with him, all of that was only going to exacerbate his issues. After reaching out to My Pet Mobile Vet on Monday afternoon of this week, we were able to arrange to have them come to our home the morning of the very next day. After only 90 minutes, Dr. Pagana and her team were able to find the culprit - MJ's trachea was nearly entirely collapsed. She concluded that he likely developed asthma, so she gave us medication, and we were on our way. And to say that he's a different kitty now is an understatement - we have our boy back. So, in short, Dr. Pagana and her team saved MJ's life, and we're now working together to develop a long-term treatment plan for him. I'm in tears as I write this - we could never, ever thank you all enough. The team was not only incredibly responsive and punctual, but Dr. Pagana is one of the kindest people we've ever met. I reached out to My Pet Mobile Vet as my senior pup is towards the end of her life and I wanted to have someone come to the house to avoid a stressful vet visit. They have such rave reviews, I thought this was going to be amazing. When I reached out I explained the situation and the sense of urgency asking for an appointment as soon as possible. I got a "we are scheduling 2-4 weeks out, and we'll reach out soon to get you on the schedule". I followed up 10+ days later to see what was going on, only to be told the vets were unavailable and they would be in touch. I finally got an appointment (about two weeks after my initial inquiry), where they said the window was 12-4pm, day of they would let me know a shorter time frame based on how the day was going. At 4pm I reached out via email b/c I had not heard from anyone. They responded saying the appointment they were at went longer than anticipated (I understand, as I know it was a dental per their email earlier) and there was one appointment ahead of ours. I asked if someone would call me. The woman on the phone was a bit nasty towards me when I asked why no one called me, my window was 12-4pm - only to get "well that's a weird window it should have been 12-6pm, we close at 6pm". She lightened up knowing I was a bit frustrated and just wanting relief for my sweet girl so mentioned she could get me an appointment another time, suggesting days which I said were great. She said they would reach out by end of week to confirm b/c she's not the scheduling department. NOTHING. Not an email, not a call, NOTHING. That says it all. read more

Hands down, the best mobile vet ever! We recently went through all the ups and downs of caring for an elderly pet. It is difficult, often requires urgent turn around and dependable veterinary care. Finding Dr. Garcia and his staff was a Godsend when another vet's ability to keep appointments became undependable. When choosing a vet - staff is also the critical "other half of the equation" - and Dr. Garcia's staff is terrific, compassionate and responsive. We also found Dr. Garcia's bedside manner with our elderly pet (and Us) to be honest without being harsh or judgmental. Dr. Garcia really cares about his patients and is a terrific vet. If you read the saga about my dog Dolly Parton, then you know I was in desperate need of some good veterinary care. I am also a dedicated dog mom to two King Charles Cavalier spaniel's named dude and Dolly Parton. Needless to say, they are the most amazing dogs on the planet. I found Dr. Garcia on Gallup after my most recent craptastic vet and was very happy. He demonstrates a key knowledge veterinary science, a kindness and good demeanor with the dogs and a professionalism and respect for his clients time unmatched in the field of veterinary medicine. He treated my dog Dolly Parton with care and got her back and up and running within no time. And even when he was out of town and out of the country he had his assistant respond to an email from me and then follow up to make sure my other dog dude was taking care of. This is what I call an amazing vet. If you have the cash, as he could be quite expensive, I would go to him. Actually if I had gone to him in the first place it would've save me a butt load of money because he doesn't over treat based on the emotional inclinations of pet parents. Dr. Garcia's team came to our place and took care of our two cats promptly. He was very knowledgeable, much more so than other veterinarians I've had experience with. We were somewhat despondent because one of our adopted cats, a 10 year old, was very ill and very prone to bite us whenever we tried to do anything with him. We came very close to giving up on him and sending him away for good. But after Dr. Garcia treated him, he is already looking and acting like a different cat. Dr. Garcia saw my dog Milton today. Milton was not eating, he was drinking excessive amounts of water, vomiting immediately after, acting lethargic and shaking. This went on for about 24 hours and I knew he needed to see someone today. My regular vet was closed and upon searching the internet for vets in my area I found Dr. Garcia. On the phone, he was thorough, informative, and patient with all my questions. He advised me to give Milton some over the counter meds to ease his discomfort until I could see him a few hours later. Upon arrival, Dr. Garcia was set up and ready to see and treat Milton. He was thorough in his examination and within twenty minutes gave me his diagnosis. He gave Milton fluids, injections and sent me home with meds for him. Dr. Garcia was kind, patient and obviously really cares about his patients. Dr. Molina is an excellent vet dentist. She is easy to talk to and explains everything in detail. My kitty had serious gum disease and 11 teeth that required extraction. It was a very long procedure. I was worried. Kitty was scared. What a difference a day makes. My baby boy is back on his feet, playing, eating and creating mischief. He will need regular dental check ups in the future and this is the vet we want. The fees are expensive, VERY. But it's still a lot cheaper than putting your kid thru college. read more

I was in LA for a few days, and naturally that was the time that my dogs decided to have problems and naturally, eat things they shouldn't have. Dr. Garcia performed a dental procedure on my 9 yr old yorkie in February. I was very nervous about sedation but after speaking with Dr. Garcia I felt comfortable going ahead with the procedure. I feel that Dr. Garcia has the dog's best interest at heart and now a few months later I know that Kasia, the Yorkie, feels much better after having had 10 teeth pulled. She also had x-rays done which revealed one abscessed tooth. All this was done with sedation only. I am so glad that I finally caved in and had a proper dental done - I can tell that this has made a tremendous difference in how my dog feels. We adopted a VERY traumatized dog. She was fearful of everything and was unable to leave the house. This left us wondering how we could properly care for her medical needs. He apologized and was very accommodating in trying to work something out so that my kittens could be seen as soon as possible. I would have definitely given him a try this time; however, our schedules didn't align and I ended up going with a local vet. But, I will definitely consider his services again down the road when the need arises.
