I recently used private pet care for my employers Westie, She was due for some annual vaccinations as well an exam. Dr. Levan came to the house with his nurse. bringing an army of medical equipment, turning the kitchen into a virtual veterinarian office/lab. Other than being very professional the one thing that struck me that makes the service work so well is that your pet is in their own home environment and not in the stressful environment of the clinic. Also more importantly the doctor can spend much more time with you as he/she does not have to see multiple patients daily. So you get much more attention and a much better experience. Horrible experience! My 12 year old German Shepherd has weak hind legs due to age and hurt his hip walking into the side of a door he fell into. I called my vet and he suggested I call 911 vets because he was booked due to having less staff because of covid. Also the fact that my dog is a 70lbs dog he suggested the mobile vet is best to avoid unnecessary trauma to my old dog. I called 911 vet, told them the situation and the lady said she would call me back for an appointment. The next day I still had not heard back so I called them again. This time the lady who picked up the phone said she had no idea who I was and what this was about but she could schedule me for yet another day. After 20 min of going over the appointment and payment she finally asked me what my dogs issues were. Once I explained my dogs injuries she then told me this is something the vet may not be able to help with and she'd have to call me back! Again! Of course I couldn't take another chance of waiting and not getting a call back. In the past (before COVID)I had used 911 VET PriVET for one of my dogs in pain from an ingrown duclaw, and didn't want to stress him further by a vet visit. Now with the quarantine and living in Los Angeles where I'd have to leave my dogs - 3 Lhasa Apsos - caged at their vet for the day, I was not getting checkups. I would have to lv them 8 hours in a cage, not ideal, as my dogs all have vet anxiety. Their regular vet they go to is great (Brent Air) but require 3 MOs checkups to prescribe flea meds. so put off since I couldn't land wouldn't leave them that long ,without an emergency cause. When I got an email from 911 VET that they're doing mobile reg checkups, not just emergency, I called immediately. Dr. Steve Weinberg DVM, and his assistant came (the receptionist is incredibly kind too) and again , were amazing with all 3, and the oldest is14,, so it wasn't easy, I'll just say that! He told me issues that the VCA SEPÚLVEDA WEST did not after a 2 day hospitalization and thousands of dollars, for the 14 year old, and also issues for the 9 year old, which I also hadn't known, and requires a further follow up with a cardiologist, so it's important. Not only preventing anxiety of going to the Vet for the dogs - they're thorough and speak to you professionally but also friendly & non-condescending. Thank goodness I found them. The prices are a little more for the convenience, but not much more as vets are pricey, and the knowledge I didn't get prior, is priceless. I am not going to hide from anonymity. I kept quiet for over a year about my experience with Dr. Weinberg. My terrible experience with him is just mine alone and should not persuade others. Until now, I am still deeply hurt by his judgement when he didn't even know me as a caregiver to my elderly cat, Herman, who had cancer. My Herman battled so many chronic health issues because of his poor immune system. He was my special needs cat and I was so devoted to him. I documented and took videos of him as we journeyed through those difficult times in his last 2 years of his life. He was defiant and had very strong spirit, which enabled him to overcome his other health issues, including kidney disease which we managed to finally controlled with a new vet, who happened to specialize on kidney disease. Unfortunately, one thing, we couldn't overcome was cancer. His vet wanted me to euthanize him even before the start of his cancer, even before the symptoms started. Who would do that? My Herman was not a candidate because of his kidney disease and heart disease. It was unfortunate for he had pet health insurance. So, we only managed his cancer through treating the symptoms with prescription meds, and immune boosting supplements. The cancer metastasized months after. His vet gave up on us because I still wouldn't euthanize him. I ask anyone of you, how do you end the life of your precious cat who still fights everyday? Who still capable of playing? He wasn't hiding. He was surrounded by my other cats, who would still sleep next to him. He was still eating. He was still capable of going to the litter box with no issue. He would even groom my other cats and he still groom himself. He was amazing. His spirit was amazing. So, how do I euthanize him? My heart was torn everyday. He displayed all these even on his last days with me. I had the evidence on my phone as i took pictures and videos, and shared our experience to my facebook friends, who were pet lovers/owners . On his last 2 months, we no longer had a vet, because he gave up on us when i refuse to euthanize my beloved cat. I didn't have pain killer, just only cbd oil with THC. His cancer on his eye was spreading fast, too. I didn't know what to do. So, I called 911 vet and they sent Dr. Weinberg to me. Dr. Weinberg, who didn't know anything about me, called me CRUEL for keeping my cat alive. He was cold, unapologetic, and he talked to me as if i was a MONSTER. There was no kindness in his voice. Just judgements. No compassion to me as a caregiver, who loved my cat. I wished I could show him videos of my cat and his defiant spirit, but he stood there judging me as my voice didn't matter. I loved my cat tremendously, and we had been through to so many tough times before his cancer in his last 2 years. Dr. Weinberg didn't know that. He didn't know our challenges we faced together. If there was a MONSTER between the two of us, it is Dr. Weinberg. He was cold and inhumane for invalidating my feelings and all the sacrifices and love I bestowed to my cat, Herman. I will never forget that day when Dr. Weinberg came to my house. His male assistant was very kind and compassionate from start to finish. His assistant was the only human between the two who cared enough to validate my heartache. But, Dr. Weinberg was a MONSTER. He never smiled, and the tone of his voice was flat and lack of compassion. Extremely cruel in his words with the way he attacked me with questions, as if I was an animal abuser. This is WHAT he made me felt. I shouldn't have taken his words personally for he didn't know me, but it cuts deeply inside me. Until now, over a year has passed, and i still don't forget my terrible experience with him. Again, my experience is my experience alone. I was silent for over a year. Not anymore. A patient, in this case, a cat, was MORE than just what you see with your training as a vet. If you have an elderly cat that gets so stressed out at the vet, then I highly recommend you call Dr. Weinberg. I literally called at 2:30 & he was at my door at 3:45. Before the visit, I read the website that had instructions on how to set up the bathroom. I didn't really get the part about putting a towel in the sink, but as soon as he set it up, it made perfect sense. By making the sink a soft, safe bed with the towel, he was able to fully examine my cat. He checked al her vitals, trimmed her nails, even pulled some mats of hair of her stomach, all while she was in the sink. It's such a genius idea! Anyhow, he was very thorough, but moved quickly so my cat's stress level was virtually nonexistent. In June of this year we called 911 Vets because our chihuahua Izzy had a stroke on the right side. With Dr Weinberg's visit we also discovered she had Diabetes and Pancreatitis. We started Izzy on Insulin and some medications. Because of the excellent care Izzy received from Dr Weinberg, Alex and the rest of the team we got two more quality months with Izzy. Izzy had another Stroke this morning, and she might have gone into Ketoacidosis. My 80lb, 9 year old German Shepard had a run-in with a relatively large cat which found its way into my back yard. The unfortunate result for my dog was two serious bites on his right front leg. While it was clear that my dog needed veterinary attention, how I was going to accomplish that wasn't so clear. Getting my dog into the car and taking him on the short drive to our primary veterinarian wasn't going to work given his condition. So, I went to Yelp for 911Vets. While the reviews were uneven, I called them anyway. And I'm glad I did. The young lady who answered the telephone was quite professional. I was given a same day appointment with a one-hour arrival window which I reserved with a credit card. Dr. W. showed up within that time and went right to work. He gained my dog's confidence, treated his injuries, provided me with antibiotics and pain relievers for my dog; he also allayed my general concerns about my dog's recovery. Dr. W. also asked about the cat half of the fight. Unfortunately, things didn't end well for the cat. I found the 911Vet service experience to be really positive. Given the circumstances, the price was reasonable. And of most importance, it's been four days and my dog is recovering just fine. Aside from a shaved leg, he's just about back to his normal self. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Weinberg and Whitney for coming out to help me with a sick, injured feral cat I have befriended. On a Sunday evening I noticed the cat was outside for his evening feeding. He looked terrible. His chin was on the concrete, he looked severely dehydrated. When he got up to eat, he was limping. His left front paw looked misshaped and extremely swollen. I felt like I was going to pass out from the instant worry about how I was going to help this cat. I mean he's feral. He barely let me pet him as of 3 months ago. In fact he was so weak, I was able to just pick him up and bring him into my bedroom. He went under my bed, onto an extra cat bed I keep there. I started calling several vets and animal emergency centers. Because of the whole COVID-19 situation. I got many recording, several live people telling me they could not see the cat till weeks later. The most shocking was the local animal emergency ASEC. They told me they had a wait of 3-5 hours and that most likely, I would be sent away because they do not "deal with feral cats". That I should follow up with my regular vet. Needless to say, I did not sleep that night. The next morning I continued my search to find a vet that could help me. At this point the cat was starting to feel better. The injured leg did not appear broken but it was oozing pus. I worried about how I was going to try to put a feral sick cat into a carrier. The cat was back to hissing a growling. I received two callbacks from very kind mobile vet services and they both recommended 911Vets. 911Vets was able to come out to my mom's house the same day. Dr. Weinberg and Whitney were able to sedate the cat. It appears the cat might have fought with another cat that left a pretty large infected bite wound on his front left leg. Dr. cleaned out the wound, gave him an antibiotic shot, a shot for pain, vaccinations, nail trim, flea medication etc.......Dr. Weinberg did so so much for this cat that I have come to love. I just kept thanking God in my head that he sent Dr. Weinberg, that the cat was actually getting help. That he wasn't going to die off somewhere on the street. Can I also mention Dr. Weinberg and Whitney were so extremely kind, gentle and compassionate with this feral cat. Many times during the visit I wanted to burst out crying because I was just so grateful for their care and consideration. When Dr. was done I was prepared to pay a huge bill that might make me nauseous. But God was with us that day. Dr. Weinberg's fees were very fair and appropriate. I know if ASEC emergency had actually seen the cat, it would a been several thousands of dollars and I would not be able to afford that. I would have had to apply for something like care credit or ask a family friend for a loan. But I would have done it. Because I love this cat now. He is mine and I am his. Here's the rundown. My puppy, only a mere 3 months old, is bloated beyond measure. Literally, a ball of gas. Imagine, the stress that I am going through at 11:26pm at night when all the vets are closed. When your dog is bloated it could mean a slew of bad things, and I don't want to take any chances. Of course, I call 911 Vets. It's 24 hours, and they come to you. Sounds like a wish come true. Too bad the call center guy is literally the biggest douche in the world. I'm stressing out about my puppy, asking for advice, and he yells at me "Pay the consultation fee and we can transfer you". I've never met a call center person who yells at a customer. NEVER. The sad part is, I bet the vets and professionals at 911 Vets are nice people who truly care. Too bad I never even set foot in their venue or spoke to one of them, because that operator left the most sour taste in my mouth. I don't care if you think this review is harsh or unfair. Hands down best service I've had It was 4 in the morning when my cat, who Had gotten his tail amputated the previous day, chewed off his stitches and proceeded to run around spilling blood everywhere and screaming in pain. We called 911 vets and the operator said the doctor wasn't in and there first appointment was at 9 in the morning. Shortly after I explained the emergency I got a call from Dr.Weinberg. He came to our house at 5 in the morning when he was supposed to be off. Dr. Weinberg is truly a master at his work. My cat is extremely difficult to handle but Dr.Weinberg had no problem in sedating him and investing. He drove our cat to the emergency and stayed with us while the nurse was collecting our information and he helped explain the situation more Thoroughly. Last night, my family and I made the incredibly difficult decision to put down our dog, Dolly. They were the only service in Los Angeles that were able to help us after hours with at home euthanasia. Dr was really understanding and compassionate. He was respectful and explained the process thoroughly. I was completely devastated and even though it was past 11pm, he was patient and let us take all the time we needed. He even stepped out so we could grieve privately as well as let our other dogs in so they could also say goodbye. I called Dr. Weinberg when my amazing Sphinx cat Oscar was suffering from rapid and deep breathing. Oscar had been diagnosed with final stage congestive heart failure a few weeks prior and even with a chest draining and medication his chest filled up again quickly. First, Oscar hated going to the vet and I was afraid he might spend his last moments at an animal hospital or suffering. I was torn between calling an in-home service to see if Oscar could wait until regular office hours or just taking him back to the animal hospital over the weekend. Dr. Weinberg showed up within an hour and a half and brought an assistant plus quite a bit of equipment. After an ultrasound revealed that the situation was grim, I asked Dr. Weinberg for his candid opinion on what would be best for my friend. The doctor explained to me what was coming next and leveled with me that the best course of action would be to put Oscar down instead of subjecting him to days of pain and struggling for breath. That was one of the most difficult decisions I've ever made and I am grateful to Dr. Weinberg for helping me look out for Oscar's best interests. O departed this world on his favorite bed by the window and I know that's far more comforting than it would have been for him at a vet's office after days of pain. 911 Vets saved my life. Well, not literally, but they were so helpful, I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for them. First of all, they were here within a half an hour, the day before Christmas. Secondly, NO ONE else has ever been able to find my cat when she hid. But Dr. Weinberg was indefatigable! He and his helper had to turn the sofa upside down, but lo and behold, there she was, having crawled through an opening she had made to hide in. He took her into the bathroom and laid her in the sink into which I had put a small sheepskin rug. At that point, he began to examine her and I left the room. The prognosis was bad: Since she was 17 years old and wasn't eating due to a thyroid disorder, she was emaciated and it was just a matter of time. Heroic measures could be taken, but for how long he couldn't say, and since I have my own health issues and couldn't even take her to a regular vet, I also had to consider the cost and the stress. I asked the doctor if he thought it was time and he said, "Yes." So we decided to put her down. By then he had given her a shot to sedate her, and she was very calm. I kissed her and told her I loved her until she serenely passed away. I doubt if I'll ever be able to have another pet, but if I do, I'd know where to turn. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE on 7/19/2019. This company treats prospective clients as if they are selling damaged used cars to naive elderly ladies. The person answering calls is obviously using a script, talks continually without listening to the caller, and has a rapid-fire delivery. His name is Alec (Alex). I was disgusted. Their prices are excessive. To simply speak with a vet is $39. Services after 5:30 are more expensive. Perhaps they believe that animals keep business hours and overtime is legitimate. My pup Savannah very quickly went from a vibrant old dog to a dog who could no longer stand. She was moaning and suffering and I was referred to 911 vets. They were out within 3 hours, which was a good amount of time to say goodbye to my very much loved pet but not enough time that she suffered. The doctor was great and very understanding. Savannah past while lying on a blanket in my back yard with her eyes on me as I petted her. I will say it was a little pricey, however, it was well worth it. My dog passed on at her home and was treated with caring and dignity as was I. I had to euthanize my baby girl because she was diagnose with lung cancer and she was only getting worse. We took her with a specialist but the oncologist said she would not make it hence her cancer was severe. She became restless and you can tell she was in a lot of pain. When I called 911 vets and asked if I can get a veterinarian to my house to put my dog to sleep they seemed very nice. The veterinarian was nice too but i didn't like the fact that when they were taking my dog in bag they were dragging her. My husband had to help them put my dog in their car. The veterinarian said they will deliver her ashes in three weeks. Three weeks passed and I called to see why she had not been deliver. Then I was told her ashes were ready but if I wanted them faster they had to be shipped. At first I was hesitant but I agreed just so I can get her ashes home with me. Her ashes were not shipped by the day I was told. I called again then I was told 7 to 8 weeks. At this point I don't know what to do. I'm not sure where my baby girl Is at. I think for the amount of money that they charged, they should have been more professional. It's devastating not knowing where my dogs remains are. Tonight I had a horrible experience. About a week and 1/2 ago my dog fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer on his heart. After emergency treatment at a local hospital he was happy and normal again. We were on borrowed time. My regular vet gave me this contact number to get prepared. I had called this place 3 times during the week to prepare and make sure everything would go smoothly when the time came. We had one last glorious week together. Tonight he collapsed after dinner so I called. The operator was callous and asked irrelevant questions. He then told me that it would be a 2 hour wait. I was previously told that it would be 20-60 minutes based on traffic to my address. In addition, they told me it would cost $700. That is more than a horse vet recently charged me to assist my horse in passing right before the holidays. That's fine. My dog is shy and scared of strange places so I would pay even more if it was going to make him feel safe at home. They asked me for my credit card. I told them to put 1/2 on there and I would pay the other 1/2 in cash. There wasn't enough room on my card. (Lots of vet expenses this last week!) So the operator told me Dr. Weinberg would NOT be coming out to assist my dog's passing. Never was the estimate or method of required payment discussed even after I called 3 times to go over every detail to make it go smoothly. I was told I would be charged based on the travel time, etc. I had to have my neighbor come help me carry him to my car. I drove him back to emergency where they helped ease his passing. After reading the negative reviews about how callous and cruel the doctor and some of his staff have been to others, I believe it! I think now it was a blessing in disguise. The emergency hospital was not ideal but the doctor and staff were so compassionate it made up for this horrid man's behavior. I hope no one else experiences such a thing in the dying moments of their beloved pets. Disgusted and heartbroken. You have been warned. *Update* I picked up the phone and called to speak with the doctor/business owner after all this back and forth on Yelp. While our discussion does not change the rating or the events that lead to my experience, it was a long civilized conversation. The business uses an outsourced call center to process the incoming calls after hours. He admits that there has been a history of issues with a few companies. He explained to me that he has attempted to apply proper training and procedures. Unfortunately the service that he uses does not hire and train employees properly. He explained that the call operators do not get paid sufficiently which further contributes to this problem. The fact remains that the call center he uses for his business hinders his greatest intentions to provide compassionate and professional services to his clients. He acknowledged this and has informed me that I may have been the "last straw" and catalyst to make changes to his business. I hope this is true. I appreciated his honesty and taking responsibility. He may change his business model. Hopefully he can find a solution soon so no one goes through the same experience as I have. All that being said, if a general contractor hires a worker who ruins a job they have to take responsibility for the worker. It can easily blemish the business. The business is only as good as the people you hire - outsourced or not. read more

BEWARE: Privet got a hold of my credit card and charged thousands of dollars against it. I have never ordered service from Privets nor authorized any of the charges. I called the company multiple times to complain. Every time i called, I was told someone (owner/manager) would call me back. No return calls to date. Absolute professionals. Kind. We had a bit of a snag scheduling initially, but we're in the middle of the coronavirus and communication issues need to be overlooked as everyone is doing their best. Once they were here, Dr. May and Whitney were gentle and kind, and above all, attentive with our 15-year-old cat who was showing signs of a bladder infection that we were worried could be worse. They explained everything they were doing and why, they somehow got our cat to behave and roll with their analysis (we were amazed, we doubted she could be controlled so well) and we could not have been more grateful to them. These two male doctors came for my 15-year-old cat we've never had male doctors and they poked her five times to try to get blood and were unsuccessful however they got blood on my white bath towel that I've tried to bleach twice my cat was traumatized they could not perform the duties that I asked them to perform they're charging me $249 because they prescribed a rape prescription from another vet that has retired and they didn't even get the amounts right I am shocked my house was left with cat hair everywhere my cats traumatized and job I need to find a woman vet my cats are not used to being around men the doctors were very nice but as far as having things go smoothly it didn't happened and the office just hung up on me because I was complaining it's not right and I'm very upset my cat is traumatized read more

Dr. Weinberg was so incredibly kind and compassionate when he came to our house at 11:30 at night to assess our dog. He ended up putting her to sleep that evening, but he was so gentle, loving and understanding of our immense grief and devastation. I will never ever forget his kindness and compassion that night.
