Had Dr. Davis and his awesome Vet Tech visit today to diagnose and begin treatment for our HIGH ANXIETY Bulldog. Car rides and unfamiliar surroundings are what triggers our dog's condition. There are few house call veterinarian options for LA and Orange County, surprisingly so. I was fortunate PriVET was first class, on time, patient focused and professional. A truly great find. I have encountered way too many veterinary practices who are financial ledger focused and forget their primary mission is care. Upsell, upsell, upsell with high pressure, to the point I wonder if they were selling used cars before becoming Drs. It was our Bulldog's anxiety, but after today's visit, it dawned on me veterinary home visits are humane, and patient forward approaches to care. Cost was not any higher than a regular vet visit, only paying a $13 surcharge for gas. If your pet is in need of veterinary care or vaccines a trip to the vet is stressful, how nice to have a stress free house call veterinary visit for my four legged best friend.

Horrible experience! My 12 year old German Shepherd has weak hind legs due to age and hurt his hip walking into the side of a door he fell into. I called my vet and he suggested I call 911 vets because he was booked due to having less staff because of covid. Also the fact that my dog is a 70lbs dog he suggested the mobile vet is best to avoid unnecessary trauma to my old dog. I called 911 vet, told them the situation and the lady said she would call me back for an appointment. The next day I still had not heard back so I called them again. This time the lady who picked up the phone said she had no idea who I was and what this was about but she could schedule me for yet another day. After 20 min of going over the appointment and payment she finally asked me what my dogs issues were. Once I explained my dogs injuries she then told me this is something the vet may not be able to help with and she'd have to call me back! Again! Of course I couldn't take another chance of waiting and not getting a call back. Meanwhile my poor dog is in pain and I'm now having to scramble to find another place they can take him to help with his gash. Unhelpful, unorganized and unprofessional.

In the past (before COVID)I had used 911 VET PriVET for one of my dogs in pain from an ingrown duclaw, and didn't want to stress him further by a vet visit. Now with the quarantine and living in Los Angeles where I'd have to leave my dogs - 3 Lhasa Apsos - caged at their vet for the day, I was not getting checkups. I would have to lv them 8 hours in a cage, not ideal, as my dogs all have vet anxiety. Their regular vet they go to is great (Brent Air) but require 3 MOs checkups to prescribe flea meds. so put off since I couldn't land wouldn't leave them that long ,without an emergency cause. When I got an email from 911 VET that they're doing mobile reg checkups, not just emergency, I called immediately. Dr. Steve Weinberg DVM, and his assistant came (the receptionist is incredibly kind too) and again , were amazing with all 3, and the oldest is14,, so it wasn't easy, I'll just say that! He told me issues that the VCA SEPÚLVEDA WEST did not after a 2 day hospitalization and thousands of dollars, for the 14 year old, and also issues for the 9 year old, which I also hadn't known, and requires a further follow up with a cardiologist, so it's important. Not only preventing anxiety of going to the Vet for the dogs - they're thorough and speak to you professionally but also friendly & non-condescending. Thank goodness I found them. The prices are a little more for the convenience, but not much more as vets are pricey, and the knowledge I didn't get prior, is priceless. The mobility and care of the dogs health is truly worth it - and most of all, comes from a Veterinarian, and his assistant, who know and care about the pets, and understand the owners love for them! Grateful and relieved to have such competent and compassionate care! https://www.911vets.com/

Wow. In my moment of need, 911Vets and Dr Steve Weinberg were there for us. My best friend Sophie needed to pass over. I called and within 45 minutes, Dr Weinberg was there. He came with compassion, respect, kindness, professionalism. He turned a tragic day a bit brighter by helping her pass over in comfort surrounded by loved ones. MANY THANKS to Dr Weinberg - you were a true blessing for us.

My 80lb, 9 year old German Shepard had a run-in with a relatively large cat which found its way into my back yard. The unfortunate result for my dog was two serious bites on his right front leg. While it was clear that my dog needed veterinary attention, how I was going to accomplish that wasn't so clear. Getting my dog into the car and taking him on the short drive to our primary veterinarian wasn't going to work given his condition. So, I went to Yelp for 911Vets. While the reviews were uneven, I called them anyway. And I'm glad I did. The young lady who answered the telephone was quite professional. I was given a same day appointment with a one-hour arrival window which I reserved with a credit card. Dr. W. showed up within that time and went right to work. He gained my dog's confidence, treated his injuries, provided me with antibiotics and pain relievers for my dog; he also allayed my general concerns about my dog's recovery. Dr. W. also asked about the cat half of the fight. Unfortunately, things didn't end well for the cat. I found the 911Vet service experience to be really positive. Given the circumstances, the price was reasonable. And of most importance, it's been four days and my dog is recovering just fine. Aside from a shaved leg, he's just about back to his normal self. This is a great service, particularly if the situation requires urgent care. As my dog ages and travel to the primary vet becomes more difficult, I am sure I'll use this service again. Thank you 911Vet and Dr. W.!! Elvis is back in business!!! :-)

    Recovering kitty.

I will be forever grateful to Dr. Weinberg and Whitney for coming out to help me with a sick, injured feral cat I have befriended. On a Sunday evening I noticed the cat was outside for his evening feeding. He looked terrible. His chin was on the concrete, he looked severely dehydrated. When he got up to eat, he was limping. His left front paw looked misshaped and extremely swollen. I felt like I was going to pass out from the instant worry about how I was going to help this cat. I mean he's feral. He barely let me pet him as of 3 months ago. In fact he was so weak, I was able to just pick him up and bring him into my bedroom. He went under my bed, onto an extra cat bed I keep there. I started calling several vets and animal emergency centers. Because of the whole COVID-19 situation. I got many recording, several live people telling me they could not see the cat till weeks later. The most shocking was the local animal emergency ASEC. They told me they had a wait of 3-5 hours and that most likely, I would be sent away because they do not "deal with feral cats". That I should follow up with my regular vet. Needless to say, I did not sleep that night. The next morning I continued my search to find a vet that could help me. At this point the cat was starting to feel better. The injured leg did not appear broken but it was oozing pus. I worried about how I was going to try to put a feral sick cat into a carrier. The cat was back to hissing a growling. I received two callbacks from very kind mobile vet services and they both recommended 911Vets. 911Vets was able to come out to my mom's house the same day. Dr. Weinberg and Whitney were able to sedate the cat. It appears the cat might have fought with another cat that left a pretty large infected bite wound on his front left leg. Dr. cleaned out the wound, gave him an antibiotic shot, a shot for pain, vaccinations, nail trim, flea medication etc.......Dr. Weinberg did so so much for this cat that I have come to love. I just kept thanking God in my head that he sent Dr. Weinberg, that the cat was actually getting help. That he wasn't going to die off somewhere on the street. Can I also mention Dr. Weinberg and Whitney were so extremely kind, gentle and compassionate with this feral cat. Many times during the visit I wanted to burst out crying because I was just so grateful for their care and consideration. When Dr. was done I was prepared to pay a huge bill that might make me nauseous. But God was with us that day. Dr. Weinberg's fees were very fair and appropriate. I know if ASEC emergency had actually seen the cat, it would a been several thousands of dollars and I would not be able to afford that. I would have had to apply for something like care credit or ask a family friend for a loan. But I would have done it. Because I love this cat now. He is mine and I am his. Granted, he's still very feral, but he's amazedly affectionate at times. I'm scared a lot just like I'm sure he is. But we have each other now thanks to Dr. Weinberg. Thank you 911Vet

Dr. Shea was my guide in my time of need. When the final day came, Dr. Erica came to our home. She is this beautiful angel, with the most kind and gentle voice. She helped us walk our precious Stella over the Rainbow bridge in the beauty of silence, reverence, and peace, it was so beautiful. Dr. Erica sent us the most amazing sympathy card a few days later that touched my heart deeply. Honor Pet has not only been there throughout this difficult journey, but their kindness, compassion, professionalism and guidance have meant more to me and my family than they can ever know. Today, Stella is back home at her final resting place, where she belongs...they sent her home to us in this incredible Honor box which carried her remains, a mini glass bottle of her fur, a candle to burn if/when I need to feel her presence, a digital print of her beautiful little "chocolate chip nose" we all loved and adored, a package of Forget-Me-Not seeds to plant in her honor, and a letter conveying their deepest sympathy for our great loss. It was all so overwhelming and thoughtful. If anyone is faced with such a difficult decision as this, and you are like me, confused and doubting whether you're making the right end-of-life choice, I cannot recommend Honor Pet enough. I promise, you will be blessed and given the truth and confidence as to when that right time comes. Stella never suffered, because Dr. Shea went over her symptoms/behavior, but when she started showing signs that she was ready, I recognized them and knew. My Stella no longer is suffering... The devastation over losing a beloved pet cannot be fully described in words, other than this: "Grief is the Price we Pay to Love." I love you my sweet girl, wait for me.

The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. Thank you for your kindness, your empathy, and for helping my sweet Lilo leave this world peacefully and with dignity. Please take care of yourself, too. The first photo is the day Oliver met Lilo as a puppy, their first photo together. The second was taken just before the veterinarian arrived to help Lilo pass. She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I hope that you are reading reviews of IVS Mobile Vets for any reason other than why I sought their services. But if that time has come, when your beloved pet can no longer continue pain-free and without complications, you are told you have options. Someone told me to "drop him off at a shelter" and "start the grieving process". Others said to take him to a vet and have him euthanized at the clinic. Cost being a factor, I was mortified at the prospect of having to consider either of the above options. Abandoning a family member to die alone and wonder why? Who can do that? I came very close to having to consider that option; that is until I found IVS Mobile Vets. Encouraged by glowing reviews, I called to inquire about end-of-life care services and pricing. Dr. Moore answered my call, and even before we could get to details, she solemnly and compassionately listened to me go on and on about my little Donnie, and validated my immense grief over what was to come. Moreover, despite prices for everything everywhere being at an all-time high, Dr. Moore quoted me at-home euthanasia and private cremation for almost $200 LESS than the next lowest quote that I obtained... and I had called over a dozen vets and organizations. Donnie went to sleep on February 15, at about 1pm. In the comfort and safety of his own home, while lying in the bed that we shared for over 13 years, he drifted peacefully, and I held him until his frail little body started to cool, I don't know if it was a 1/2 hour or 1/2 a day, but Dr. Moore left us alone and gave me the time I needed for closure. Dr. Moore was gentle, patient, and truly compassionate. Despite it being the most heartbreaking day of my life, the occasion was peaceful and life-affirming, and I will mourn and cherish that memory for the rest of whatever's left of my own life. Every corner of my home is a mine field of Donnie memories, and I can't envision a day when I could come home and not long to see his little face in the upstairs window, waiting for me to open the door. But, I am forever comforted to know that I did right by my little guy, loving and caressing him to the very end. Donnie's ashes were delivered to me in person about a week later, with a heartfelt card, dignified packaging, and supplemental literature on grieving. Thank you, Dr. Moore, for your kindness, compassion and integrity. Truly an angel of mercy.

He took the box into the back room and returned a few minutes later, saying that the veterinarian on duty refused to assist in any way and sent me away, telling me to visit an animal shelter a few miles away. I suspect they would have been willing to perform the procedure if I had an account they could bill. It took me at least 15 minutes to reach the shelter and speak to someone there--the rat seizing and suffering greatly the entire time. The doctor at the shelter understood the creature needed to be put down immediately and kindly proceeded with the procedure. The Veterinarian's Oath (vets' version of human-medicine doctors' Hippocratic Oath) includes the following line: "I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering ..." This veterinarian refused to abide by the directives of their solemn oath, affording this poor little creature no relief from its suffering. Please keep this information in mind when considering whether or not to employ the services of West LA Veterinary Group.
