I strongly believe in leaving honest reviews to help others make informed decisions, and unfortunately, I feel compelled to write this one to warn future guests and hopefully push this hotel to do better. From the moment I stepped into my room, it was nowhere near my expectations. The level of poor maintenance and lack of cleanliness was shocking. There was food splattered on the appliances, the towels were stained and soiled, and the entire room just felt unsanitary. I was so uncomfortable that I had to go to the store to buy my own cleaning supplies and sanitize the room myself--something I've never had to do at any hotel before. To make matters worse, when I left for the day and returned at 4 PM, my room had not been cleaned. When I asked the housekeeping staff in the hallway, I was told my room was on a "no stay-over" list, meaning they weren't planning on cleaning it at all--whatever that means. At that point, I had lost all confidence in this hotel's sanitation efforts and couldn't even bring myself to try the free breakfast, as I was convinced the lack of cleanliness extended throughout the establishment. The only positive from my stay was the front desk staff, who was one of the nicest people I encountered during my trip. But even his kindness couldn't make up for the frustration, regret, and overall disappointment I felt--especially since this stay was supposed to be for Valentine's Day. I regret not choosing another hotel, and I have attached photos not to embarrass the establishment but to help future guests make an informed choice. Booked 2 rooms on the same night. We were initially given the keys to the wrong room. Both rooms were extremely dirty and smelled badly. Pubic hair on toilet seat, and large amount of feces still in the toilet. Hair in shower and beds. Appeared to have urine on the floor in bathroom. We left without staying, and are still awaiting a refund from the hotel. read more

I'm not sure how this place got high reviews. Firstly we checked in after a 13+ hour drive mostly thru a snow storm at 10pm so we were pretty exhausted & just ready to get off the road but had made a reservation based on reviews. The carpeting in our room was stained so we kept our socks on. The 'kitchen' didn't have any cups, plates, etc. No ice to be found anywhere. When we dragged ourselves out of bed for a shower there was no shower curtain & hairs on the walls - nasty. Also some mystery gunk on the sink. Mismatched, tired looking furniture. If we weren't so exhausted we would have packed up & left. read more

Booked this hotel for my husband and son as they were passing through Lubbock, because we had stayed at this chain in Amarillo and were very happy. Sadly that was not our experience in Lubbock. The room was over run by cockroaches and when we attempted to get assistance and change room no one was to found at the front desk I booked through hotels.com and left my review there but they refused to post it. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Definitely do not recommend this location. We did pay the pet deposit for our lab, didn't realize it was for the cockroaches. read more

My Place is technically their place but for a decent fee they'll share it with you for a night or two or thirty. It's a great place for an extended day or a just a night passing through, less expensive than their competitors but just as comfortable. read more

I'm not sure who wrote the 4-5 star reviews. Don't be catfished. This place is disgusting. Checked in and was underwhelmed. There is no huge atrium in lobby. Gave us room 115 and pretty sure someone or something died in there. Not exaggerating. It made us gag. Some fumigator was left on table and said to keep away from living things when operating. Asked for new room and clerk said they had shampooed and shampooed that room to get smell out. Moved us to room 200 which at least didn't have that smell. But bed was visibly lumpy and walls had peeling paint and holes. We checked out 30m later and went to Country Inn and Suites next door and thought we were in heaven. It was even cheaper than My Place! We were charged for 1 night even though we were there for maybe 30m but I'd say we got out lucky because I wouldn't doubt there were bed bugs too. My Place must have fake reviews so do NOT be fooled. Update: While I stand by my original review about the condition of the hotel, the general manager did reach out to me to personally apologize and refunded the 1 night we were there for 30m before checking out. Really good customer service but need to put some TLC into the place. read more

My Place extended stay hotels are surprising. First of all, the rates are cheap as could be. Cheap rates and extended stay usually mean the place is skeevy and filthy. Not these. They're clean. The rooms are pretty nice. The staff is friendly. My group (11 people) booked late yesterday and showed up at 1am. The gentleman at the front desk got us all to our rooms quickly. It isn't a luxury suite, but if all you need is a place to crash for a night or longer, My Place is a good option. read more

What a wonderful hotel. The Lubbock TX MyPlace Hotels is great! From check in (which was easy and lightning fast) to finding my room, everything was easy as pie. Staff was really nice and the room was excellent. Spacious, inviting, and clean. They have tons of parking. The bathroom was really nice, as was the shower. the Lobby is beautiful and features a huge atrium!! Super high thread count on the sheets. And they had a robe and slippers. They let me get a late check out (noon). The location is great. Cleaning staff was super sweet!!! LOVED IT!!! read more

Last week was either our 3rd or 4th year spending the Thanksgiving week at My Place Lubbock. It will be our last. This year we were blessed with a downstairs room very near the exit and parking. SCORE! Unfortunately another guest parked his truck outside our window and left town to spend Thanksgiving with their family. We were treated to the alarm on the truck going off at random intervals throughout the night for three nights straight. Clearly someone in the hotel had a key/fob for the truck because after the alarm sounded for a minute or two it was turned off. When I approached the staff about these transgressions I was variously informed that: we can't have it towed, it belongs to a guest; we can't ask a guest to move it; we can't tell a guest where to park. I was encouraged to speak to the manager but I never caught the manager on property when I was there. So in essence I was invited to go enjoy carnal relations with myself. The best they came up with was they could ask me, a guest I might add, to move to a different room. read more

Completely adequate and clean for the cost. The surroundings are decent with plenty of places to eat nearby, sit down as well as fast food. Shopping is close as well. Our dog left a toy (not any toy, her beloved yellow lion) under the bed. As ridiculous as it is we called back to see if we had left it behind and the gal working the desk went immediately to our 3rd floor room, found it under the bed, and bagged it up for us to pick up. Kudos to her for making the journey to get it, and picking up the toy, which as seen better days. Well done! read more

Had to call repeatedly to get someone out of the back to check me in. First room, tv didn't work. Had to lug all my luggage to second room.... almost $11 more in taxes. Overpriced for basic room rental already. read more

I've stayed at My Place in Lubbock a few times. Every time, the room was nice, the service was great and the rate was a good deal. During my last trip, there was a booking issue (not their fault) and they put exceptional effort into resolving the issue. For future visits to Lubbock, I plan to return to My Place. read more

Fantastic hotel for price! It's an extended stay so they only clean every four days. Bed is super comfortable and sheets are top notch. Doesn't have all the fancy amenities of typical hotels, just the basics but it does the basics in a luxury way. In room kitchen is high quality and has 40" HD TVs. Highly recommended. read more

I paid about 90 bucks and received exactly what I was looking for. Two comfy queens, comfy pillows, and a clean, warm room. If you're looking for someone to walk your dog upon arrival, or to carry your Louis Vuitton luggage to your room, this isn't the place for you. If you open your window expecting a Times Square, Westin'esque 34th floor view, then you forgot that you're in Lubbock. From my vantage point, I could read the registration number on some guys' aluminum fishing boat out in the vacant lot, and a thousand miles of flat land in all directions. Another plus, for my wife and I, was the location. This isn't a bad area. I didn't have to figure out how to get through any Lubbock PD crime scene tape from a recent murder, and there weren't any high speed chases resolving right outside my window at 1 AM. Restaurants and gas stations are close, and the freeway's close. Friendly staff, and family friendly. Lots of new hotels being built right here to house visitors for school events most likely. I'd definitely stay here again if I had to pass through Lubbock. read more

The place was clean, and the staff was friendly enough... But for $100 plus tax I was left with sort of a mediocre feeling. The Breakfast... At $4.49 per person it left a bit to be desired. There wasn't much of a selection. What we ended up ordering was sort of a copy of a sausage and egg McMuffin, only not as good. And the fresh fruit was just an orange, and a bottle of orange juice. The McMuffin was pulled from the refrigerator and had to be taken back upstairs to nuke it in the microwave. The room had a kitchenette with two electric burners, and no pans to cook in if you want to cook. One thing I really liked about the room, however, was the full-size coffee maker with a full-size filter pack of coffee. I really think the competition should adopt full-sized coffee makers. :) For the price, Holiday Inn Express would have been a bit better. Over all, I guess it was just sort of OK. I would not mind staying there again if there was nothing else available. It's worth 3 and a half stars, but you can't do that on here, and I'm not giving them 4 stars, so three's all they get. read more
