Used an apprentice as well as the regular technician. All went well and because they can do other plumbing tasks besides water heater maintenance, they looked at my other needs and will get back to me with suggestions. The best!

My gas tank water heater was 20 years old and I decided to replace it pre-emptively. I requested a…read morequote from 3 companies, one of which was the Water Heater Doctor. Their quote came in the lowest and Brandon was extremely helpful on the phone, so I ended up choosing them. - The quote process was great: I submitted their online form, they gave me a call asking for more details, I sent them a few pictures, and they gave me another call with solutions and a quote. The quote also happened to be the cheapest of the 3 companies I got bids from. - The installation went very smoothly. I understand that direct vent water heaters are a little tricky to install, but Brandon installed perfectly. He arrived on time, got rid of our old water heater, and added a new water heater with several fixes: the overflow pipe now runs to the sink, he used a "flex vent" kit so the water heater can sit on the ground, and he put the water heater in a tray to reduce issues from slow leaks since I don't have a basement drain. - After the install, Brandon taught me how to change the temp / turn the water heater off / how to flush it / how to change the anode rod. Very pleased with the work and my new water heater is working flawlessly. The only downside was that there was no permit. I'm no expert on permits. Portland's website says that water heater changes require a permit. Brandon said it's a "gray area" for residential. I am not planning on selling the house and things looked good to me, so I don't mind too much.

This time they were out to replace a sump pump. James communicated when he was coming, arrived on time, and did the job quickly. He was friendly and talked at my level. Definitely the kind of customer service you'd expect from Cornel's. Premium price, but premium customer service and quality people. You get what you pay for! I'm keeping them on speed dial.

The one company that will will take me on will not write in a water sewer backup clause, and there is no way I would not have that coverage. Due to the bathtub faucet not being put back together correctly, I had flooding in my kitchen, bedroom closet and master bathroom. Because the tile could not be matched, the entire bathroom had to be redone. Not only did I have 6 months of disruption/construction in my house, I'm now going to pay more in insurance and I don't have the ability to change my insurance without high risk to me financially. I do not recommend this company. Nobody ever reached out to me after the damage, however they did call the Flood Pros without telling me that they had done so when I called in a panic on a Saturday night. The initial reason I called them was to fix an bathtub faucet that was dripping in the tub, and I ended up with a disaster.

After installing new filter and housing in my pump house that provides all the water to my home, it turns out that he blew a fuse to the system. I offered to run to Lowe's and get a replacement, which I did. When I returned he had left the property. So I replaced the fuse and got the pump running. The problem is that there was no water to the house. All the valves were open, so I spent some time troubleshooting and realized that the water was not going through the filter. I removed the filter from the housing snd then the water worked. I called Jerry to let him know and he was perplexed. He asked if I wanted him to come back. Since he had provided a quote to complete the job I said yes. Of course I would like filtered water to be provided to my home. That's what I paid for. He said he would come by in the morning. He never showed. Then he called one of my tenants that night asking if he could come over. The tenant never asked him to he eventually said ok. Jerry came and determined that the filter had been installed upside down. A few days later I got an invoice emailed to me dated Oct 30, with a note indicating that it was past due on Oct 29 for $240. I was shocked but thought I would wait to respond. The next day was when the actual craziness began. He texted me saying that he was turning the account to collection and adding a $75 late fee. Then I rock him that was crazy because the invoice 2 days old. He proceeded to write me text nesssged that were threatening and demeaning. Telling me that I must nut be educated. And threatening me and my financial well being. He actually sent me the taunting text nesssged from 19pm until 5:40 am. There were probably 30 texts and he spun out of control. He finally told me that he would take me to court detours my several good faith efforts to propose a settlement that was more than fair abc as I told him I offered. The same amount that he would receive if he decided to send the account to collections. My overall review would be to stay as far away from this business, especially if Jerry is involved because of his work ethic, which is poor, his business knowledge which seems nonexistent, very poor customer service skills, and just in general I'm not interested in being threatened by a plumber That was left a job without testing the system leaving me with no water. When he arrived, I had water when he left. I didn't that doesn't seem like the solution that anyone wants and then they have the nerve to send me a bill threaten me and threaten me to go to court. It's just nuts, stay far far away
