Oscar and crew did an excellent job when they re-piped our house with PEX. The contract included start and finish-no-later-than dates, and they committed three plumbers to the job until it was complete, with a day to spare. They showed up on time, cleaned up their work areas each day, and were a pleasure to work with. We had water each evening after they finished for the day. They were creative problem solvers when routing the new pipes to minimize holes and follow-up patching. We went with their suggested drywaller and Oscar coordinated so he began patching on day 3 of the project, after the inspector finished. Our drywall holes were patched within a couple days. Excellence Plumbing did smaller jobs for us in the past, and we've had great experiences every time. We would definitely work with them again. read more

Since editing this review for the better, (see the blurb about Shelly below) I've had to re-instate the one star review as it transpires that not only did the plumbers sent by Excellence Plumbing have no idea what they were doing, they also completely misdiagnosed the problem. It was NOT the hose in the pull out faucet at all, it was the ceramic cartridge inside the pull out faucet which my son's friend, a journeyman plumber diagnosed AFTER he put in the new hose and the faucet continued to leak. So, not only did the plumbers at Excellence Plumbers waste my time they also took my money for doing nothing and for misdiagnosing the plumbing issue. Shelly at Excellence Plumbing did send us a check for a partial refund but given the circumstances, I think she should have refunded us the entire amount we paid. --------------------------- We had a leak under our sink. Excellence plumbing came out the same day which was great. The plumbers let us know that the leak was in the hose that led to the pull out faucet and said we should call Grohe for a replacement part. They told us it would take about an hour and a half to install the new hose Luckily for us, one of our son's best friends is a long time, journeyman plumber. He happened to be unavailable when we discovered the leak. However, he WAS available to replace the hose. It took him under ten minutes!!! Yes under ten minutes. It made me wonder if Excellence Plumbing had purposely taken much longer to figure out where the leak was and certainly quoting us an hour and a half to replace the hose is astonishing. I can't imagine a plumbing company could make a mistake like that. Excellence plumbing quoted us $240 to replace the hose. Wow! After a pricey and terrible experience with a different plumber for a leak in our ceiling that remained unresolved, I asked neighbors for a new plumber and a few of them recommended Excellence Plumbing. Justin was able to come out just days later and was friendly, on time and after just a little investigation figured out the real root of our leak. He was able to give me an exact cost to fix the problem since Excellence works off a rate per a job system rather than per an hour so it was refreshing to know exactly what I'd owe in the end, especially after the last guy charged for driving time and the 20 mins he spent writing the invoice in his van afterwards... In the end, Justin got our plumbing issue fixed rather quickly and was a pleasure to chat with while he was here. I wish I had gone with them first and will always use them in the future! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Oscar and Excellence Plumbing. We experienced a broken main water line two days before we had to leave for a long planned trip. Water was filling our crawlspace and we had to shut off the water at the street. Oscar was able to come over the SAME DAY to look at our situation and was there the following night at 9PM to make sure that the utility companies had marked lines for him start work the following morning, the same day we had to leave for vacation. Oscar and his team were able to complete the work in such a quick and efficient time frame. When we came home we had running water again! The best of the best! They were booked out about 1 month when I first called, but they were highly recommended from a friend. I had a probably with the shower not getting hot in my second bedroom's bathroom. I tried to see if I could get the problem fixed sooner and just ended up getting ripped off from a different Plumbing company who charged me $150 to come look at the shower and then proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the entire valve and the would have to rip the wall apart to do it for $1,700. I still had an appointment for excellence to come out so I just thought I would wait to get a second opinion. I am so glad I did! Justin diagnosed the problem within minutes of showing up. It was just a couple of little parts that needed to be replaced- he went to get the parts and fixed everything in less than an hour. He didn't even have to tear up the wall! My entire interaction with Excellence plumbing was positive from start to finish. I had called several plumbers that morning who could not come out to look at the problem in our office building for 2+ weeks. I got lucky, and excellence plumbing had a same day cancellation so they snuck us in. Oscar and his helper came out ON TIME (imagine that?) Promised us 10-12 and they were here at 11:00. This place was very easy to work with, reasonably priced, and very knowledgeable in their craft. We had a small cracked connector that had been leaking, unbeknownst to us, for a while. We needed a remedy ASAP and we were lucky enough to get an opening the same day. John came out and gave a very reasonable price for the work. He also explained that with the repairs there COULD be an issue due to the previous installation being a little iffy. He explained all the possibilities, but with his expertise he was able to get it done as originally explained. Oscar really impressed me the first time I called Excellence Plumbing a couple of years ago after our visiting family accidentally sent broken glass through the garbage disposal. Oscar advised me over the phone how to clear it out and saved me $$ from having them come out! Who does that?! I decided then and there that we had found our household plumber. So when we recently were dealing with a leaky faucet, I called and got on the schedule. The day Justin was scheduled to come out, I received a message that they were behind at another job, and wanted to come later. I was a little upset since I had made arrangements for my husband to drop my daughter off at preschool (in order to get the first appointment of the day) and was pressed for time before I would have to pick her up. When I mentioned this to Justin, he apologized and immediately told me he would be right on over. Once he arrived, he explained how they were finishing up some work from a prior job and that Oscar had sent him immediately when they heard my situation. After realizing that I needed a replacement part for the leaky faucet and would need a follow-up appointment (the faucet is high-end and no one carries the part locally), Justin offered to take a look at all of our drains, fixed a couple of small issues that I had with a drain and a faucet handle and fixed a couple of issues with our leaky faucet, since he was here and wanted to be helpful. Since we didn't have the model# or accompanying documentation for the faucet, and it would be $$$ to replace, Justin called Oscar and he recommended that we take a photo of the faucet to email to the manufacturer for replacement. Sure enough, I followed their recommendations, and I'm now waiting for the part, and planning to call Excellence as soon as it arrives for them to replace the part for us. It was a little difficult getting an appointment the first time for a non-emergency call, but Justin Duyck cheerfully and quickly replaced the pipes, added insulation, and installed the new outside faucet quickly.
