I asked to have my pigeons on my roof to be removed. Steve and his partner placed mesh to cover areas so they don't come back. I'm not sure if it was placed wrong because the pigeons went around it easily. They never left and still on my roof. I tried to contact them via email and phone (unable to leave message VM full), texted and called the number they provided to BBB and It's a wrong number. They can at least call back email back or anything but they are not trying at all to communicate and they promised a guarantee for a year. It's two weeks and the pigeons are still on my roof. Steven calls back after posting this and said he will get back to me and has never got back to me. He called in the middle of the night and I think he might have been drinking or something. I told him I want a refund and he is not professional and does not keep his word or do his job like he states he does. Something to consider before hiring this company, what is the license number for? He claims to have a license. What kind of license? He could respond to this review and clarify the type of license. He displays a license number on the company profile. One thing is for sure, it's not a California Contractors License. I checked www.cslb.ca.gov. It's also not a DFG trapper's license. So what type of license is it? If he has no legitimate license he likely has no insurance either. Wish I had looked him up on Yelp before hiring him. But I was in a desperate situation at the time and wanted the animal gone. So I guess it's my fault I was taken advantage of. Fumigating with the trellis would kill a 30+ year old wisteria which we wanted to keep... In the end, we tore the trellis down ourselves and found no termite damage (-1 one star here since they told us there was termite damage in the trellis which led the little buggers straight to the house.) We ended up tearing down an original trellis built with amazing quality wood since they couldn't get the stuff right. In the process of trellis-tearing-down-ness, we moved a potted palm near the house corner where there was termite damage and found termites in the soil!! A and R told us it was drywall termites and we found no existence of them... yet found a nice crowd of subterranean ones... Also when they found out that we took the trellis down ourselves and gipped them of the possibility of charging us 900 bucks of labor to do it, they got rude and catty and criticized S's reciprocating saw skills. 900 bucks!? No way! Now S has an extra 700 bucks to go towards my next spa visit~!! (-1 star for not catching or checking for subterranean termites. -1 star for getting mean and rude. Customer service is important!!)

He has not returned any emails or phone calls over the past 8 days. Here's what happened: The squirrels came back in early January and reentered the roof at/near the same location as before. The trap that Jose set in November apparently did not work. I emailed Jose on Wed 1/4 to let him know the squirrels are back. He and Alex came the next day at 6:30 PM, confirmed that 2 squirrels had re-entered the crawl space, and told me they would come Fri 1/6 5 PM before sundown so they could see better. They didn't come on Fri 1/6 and didn't bother to call or email to let me know. I left voice message with Jose Friday night and he responded that there had been a family medical issue and that I would be their first appt on Saturday morning. However they never showed up. They didn't even call or email to notify or reschedule. Saturday 1/7 - I left voice message. No reply. Sunday 1/8 - I sent email asking for update. No reply. Saturday 1/14 - I sent email and left voice message. No reply. My original service in November included a 6 month warranty. It says so right on the receipt. Update 1/15/07: After submitting the above 1 star review and sending one last email to Jose, he finally responded to me via email. His reply doesn't explain why he never showed for the 1/7 appointment or why he didn't respond to emails/calls over the past 8 days. I for the most part agree with his point about the warranty. But I never would have suggested that he offer a partial refund if he had at least shown up for the Friday or Saturday appointments. My time has value. I left work 1 hour early on Friday and I waited around for 2 hours on Saturday. I am not a small business owner but if I were I would certainly make a point to call my customer if I needed to cancel an appointment. I would also return my customer's calls and emails. For transparency, here's the email I sent to him this morning: Hi Jose, I'm not sure why you haven't responded to any of my phone calls or emails. I was hoping you would honor your warranty in a timely manner. Can you please refund a portion of my original payment? I think that would be fair under the circumstances. I never said i would cover new holes, I only charged you to seal that hole and set the trap. If the squirrel was to go through my material i would understand but not if it chewed another opening. You also said it would be temporary and u would get it fixed propery. So im supposed to give you back ur money and my work was free? I dont think so. Update 1/16/07: After posting the 1/15/07 update, I received I received a text from Alex (who happens to be the owner of Alex Rodent Pro) as well as a follow up yelp reply from someone named Richard. I appreciate the responses but I haven't been able to reach either one of them by phone. I've hired another company to repair my roof. The roof repair team is replacing my roof today. When the team removed the concrete tiles from the roof there were 3 more holes that the squirrels have been using to enter the crawlspace. Two of the holes appeared to be new but one of the holes (a large one) showed signs of being rather old. While I appreciate the immediate repairs that Jose made in November to fix 2 holes and to set a trap, there was one large hole that was overlooked and the trap that was set and placed in the crawlspace did not help. I was charged $50 to set the trap and was promised a follow up to remove it at a later date.

So, since they said they offer a 1-year warranty, I called them...expecting they'd come back right away. After two weeks of trying to get in contact - nothing. I've called, texted, left voicemails, etc. I've gotten a few texts back explaining that everything is 'fine' -- but's its not fine. Bottom line - they don't back up their warranty.
