I decided to give them another chance and picked it up myself today, hoping it was just a one-time issue. Unfortunately, the food quality and attention to detail were noticeably different from what I've always loved. The chicken shawarma lacked the bold, flavorful seasoning they're known for and was very light on the garlic. They also forgot the small container of garlic sauce they normally include. The hummus arrived plain--no drizzle of olive oil and no sprinkle of paprika, which has always been part of the presentation. Even the pickled turnips were a very pale pink instead of the vibrant, tangy pickles they've traditionally served. None of these things alone would have prompted a review, but together they make it feel like the quality and consistency have declined. As a long-time customer, that's really disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite places in Canton. I truly hope this is just a temporary slip and not the new standard, because I'd love to see La Shisho return to the quality that made me a loyal customer for so many years.

I felt bad because a few people came after me and also had to wait while they were making more in the kitchen. We are happy to say that finally we have a successful middle-eastern restaurant next door to our store (Star Jewelry). Starting from the very first day until now we have been extremely satisfied with everything we have ordered. The experienced chef's homemade cooking is unlike anything we have had in the past. He prepares everything by scratch everyday. The flavors and consistency of all the foods are truly like "mom's homemade cooking." Their staff is friendly and welcoming to all of their customers. We have recommended their restaurant to so many of our friends and customers who have now become their customers because they love the food. The way their restaurant is set up is that there is a wide window so you can see how the chef prepares and cooks the delicious food to order. Canton Pita is definitely here to stay. read more

I love food, and middle Eastern food is among my favorites. I have had middle Eastern food from mostly all the restaurants in Canton, Livonia, FH, and a few in the Dearborn area. I have been going to Canton Pita from the 1st or 2nd week and still continue to go at least once a week , they make good tasty food. They honor your opinion and do make it to your suggestion, if needed. They have an excellent balance of quality and quantity, plus the cost is very competitive to other restaurants. They are also wonderful people, who will the effort to make you feel at home. bottom-line: great food at very affordable price, give it a try and will love it. read more

After I read the wonderful reviews online I decided to give them a try. Biggiest mistake I ever made. I ordered the meat shawarma sandwich, chicken shawarma sandwich, and the veggie platter. The chicken shawarma looked like chicken breast grilled and cut into pieces with no flavor at all , the meat shawarma sandwich was drained in tahini sauce and meat look like it was boiled. Now for the veggie platter...The baba ghanouj and the grape leaves were canned and the hommous had no taste. Not to mention the Garlic sauce, and I am a big fan of garlic sauce it was really awful. I didn't even know there is a middle eastern cuisine in canton. It was a fantastic experience. With all that welcoming atmosphere, it was an unforgettable experience for me. The design is modern and I liked the artistic touch on it. Along with this, the food is great, not pricey and so filling. I really enjoyed the vegetarian salads despite I'm not a huge vegan. A very nice little restaurant which is located right on ford road. My favorite foods are their soup and their lamp chops which are very juicy. I think they should put less oil on the lamb chops. I call them and order stuff and they only need 10 minutes which is very, very fast! In a pinch their food is very nice AND at a VERY reasonable price. read more
