They make their own hot tubs to very high standards of quality , and they even resell them to other businesses . Basically a wholesaler. I had the pleasure of meeting with the owner initially, several of the employees, and eventually the delivery guys . Every single person conducted themselves with friendly professionalism. Harley and Manny - these two brave souls got stuck with the seemingly impossible task of delivering the hot tub. And even though we encountered multiple problems with the spacing of my backyard , they were able to figure out and Tackle every single one of them. And now I have an awesome hot tub. UL listing is not a required standard for stoves, so most manufacturers elect not to have that testing done.. The UL laboratories are a private nonprofit organization that some manufacturers elect to send their products too. This certification can be costly and because the certification is not necessary for wood stoves, most manufacturers do not submit their product to Underwriters Laboratories for approval. There are only three wood-burning stoves that are UL listed Second, the only certification needed is when you install a new wood stove and that requirement is a stove certified by the EPA Third, older wood stoves are grandfathered in and there is no fire code that exist that states that you must upgrade to a new wood-burning stove when you buy or sell. If you do change out the stove, then it must be upgraded to an EPA certified stove Finally, there are manufacturers data plates that are on wood stoves that show the minimum clearances from stove to combustible materials. This particular stove met all the minimum distance requirements to combustible materials. Yes, the fireplace surround was ugly, however it was a cement fiber board that is a non-combustible material. In addition, the stove flue was exposed for the first 5 feet and is of a triple wall design which has a higher heat value. So I stand by my claim that your inspections are fraudulent, froth with misinformation, with intent to upsell or some new products to the person's home that you inspect.

I am writing this review to warn others who might be considering giving them their business. TL;DR: Do not do business with Oakdale Hearth and Hot Tub. They lack integrity and need to improve their customer service. In March 2024, we purchased a new Bullfrog hot tub through Costco. Oakdale Hearth and Hot Tub is the local dealer who sold the tub in the Costco store and would be responsible for the delivery and future service. The hot tub was delivered in May 2024. Unfortunately, their delivery crew left a noticeable scratch on our brand-new tub. The delivery crew acknowledged the scratch and accepted full responsibility for it. Accidents happen, and we were initially understanding, assuming they were trustworthy and would make it right. What followed was fourteen months of follow-up on our part. Multiple texts and calls were required to schedule a repair for the damage they caused. The customer service was abysmal; we were consistently ignored and given the runaround. After over a year of hounding them, they finally scheduled service. But it was at this point that the situation escalated from unacceptable to what I consider deeply unethical. They informed us that we would have to pay a $200 trip charge for them to repair the scratch their own team made during delivery. We were stunned. After a year of waiting, they were now demanding that we pay them to fix their own error. Against our better judgment, but wanting the ordeal to be over, we agreed to the repair scheduled for today. Their technicians arrived and began the work. In the middle of the job, they stopped and said their office required payment of the $200 before they could finish. I told them I would pay and seek remedy after, but I would do so once the repair was completed. In response, Nicole, the manager, instructed the technicians to pack up their tools and leave the job unfinished. And they did. They left without telling me. To say this company lacks integrity would be an understatement. They damaged our spa, ignored us for over a year, demanded payment to fix their own mistake, and then walked out on the job when we wouldn't pay them mid-repair. This isn't just bad customer service; I think it demonstrates that this company operates without integrity.

My experience with James and Central Valley Pool & Spa have been beyond excellent. My mom and dad, sisters, and I all use this company. Central Valley Pool & Spa is a fantastic company that I have been using for many years (6 to be exact). To sum up Central Valley Pool and Spa (CVPS) and their services, they are reliable, do great GREAT WORK, are professional, kind, friendly, experienced and organized. I live in the bay area roughly two hours away. I have three rental properties...one in Oakdale, CA and the other two in Riverbank, CA. Two of the three rentals have pools in the backyard. CVPS always keeps the pools looking great and up to par. James doesn't bother any of the tenants. James is able to somehow keep two very old pools looking great. CVPS goes above and beyond to keep the pools clean, healthy, SAFE, and looking great. James is very knowledgeable with pool equipment as well....from pumps to pool cleaners he can do it all. I know this because I've had to use his services. I have never had any issues in 6 years using Central Valley Pool & Spa. My entire family uses this company and they are just as happy as I am. When they do answer, no one is available and the owner or manager never returns our call or stops by as he said he would. We haven't been able to use our pool this month and we would do it but both of us are disabled and it takes us 10x's as long ad an abled body. But maybe we should just do a little every day and save ourselves some money. Because at this point there's been way too many issues and it seems like a wast of money to have someone come by and not do anything. The guy who managed this store said we weren't worth the time or effort since we were "bad mouthing" his employee. I guess saying facts is "bad mouthing" someone. It's sad because we liked the guy who was the manager. He was everything you'd want in a business owner. So for this to happen, it's terribly sad.
