Found Javier and his team when my pool turned green for the fourth time in a three-month period. What I realized in that moment was that I in fact hated maintaining the pool and clearly, wasn't that good at it. I reached out to Javier and that was the end of my pool troubles - now it's just clean and beautiful all the time! Javier has also helped with some simple equipment replacement (pool sweep) at a fair price with quick response. Very professional communication via text with updates on service time variations when needed due to storms and so forth. I can't say enough good things about J&J - great customer service and awesome performance in keeping our pool beautiful! Highly recommend!

Completely impressed! I was having an algae issue with my pool and couldn't get it under control. I reached out to J&J as one of my top three prospects and I'm so glad I was able to utilize Javier's services. Right away he was honest and straight forward. Super responsive and fit me into his packed schedule. My pool had to be drained and he took care of it all. He came out and drained my pool, pressure washed it and got it filled back up and treated it with the appropriate chemicals. You can tell he really cares about making sure he's doing a thorough job! He has checked up on the pool multiple times and went out of his way to make sure it was good to go to swim for Mother's day! I contacted J&J Pool Service one year ago. We had a pool company servicing our pool at the time but our water was murky. Needed help getting my pool in order although I live a lil to far for javier to service the pool he did ask for some pictures and test levels of the pool and filtration system. He was very responsive and knowledgeable with great recommendations for keeping my pool clean and chlorine and ph levels at an optimal level. He told me to feel free to reach out to him anytime if I had any other questions or concerns. I wish I lived closer to his area but feel confident I can keep my pool looking great with his recommendations. The gentleman who owns the business referenced above is very knowledgeable about the inner workings of the maintenance of pools!! If something is not working and another company is dumbfounded about the problem, he has the experience to fix it ,wherein others will say it's not in their realm of expertise!! If the owner can't get out to your place due to location , etc., he will recommend someone else who meets his quality of service that he would expect. I don't normally write reviews BUT this is an exception to my rule. I contacted about five (5) pool cleaning businesses in the area and no one wanted to come out and take a look at my above ground pool on a newly purchased home. On my last effort, I came across Javier with J & J Pool Services. It was a late call, he was on his way home but he said "No Problem" I know you need the help. Not only did he stop by and provide his service, he also educated me on the proper way to maintain it. Javier was not only courteous, he was professional, informative and he did a phenomenal job. Just got to give a shout out to Javier at J+J Pool Service. I couldn't condition my pool anymore so Javier came over and advised I should drained it and do a Chlorine Wash. He didn't advise a Acid Wash since I had pebble tech on my unground pool. The water had been in the pool for 6 years so I thought that maybe the case and Javier advised me of how to complete this. Javier showed up ALWAYS the time he told me he would be at my house. He has great communication skills when it comes to customer service. He completed the Chlorine wash in the early morning and afterwards started the filling process. He returned the next day at the time we set and adjusted the chemicals to get me started. He stayed in touch afterwards to make sure I was on track with my chemical testing. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE!!! If you need someone responsible and reliable I highly recommended J + J Pool Service. They even cleaned up and restored my 50's tile. My pool was in bad shape and they made it look brand new like a tropical paradise. They replaced the safety rope hooks and all inlet/outlets that needed to be, including a new jet for the infinity swim jet. Absolutely above the "waterline" with this contractor and his group. The price was in between all other contractor estimates,(some way too high in the 20-30k range, I just figured they didn't want to do it.) but the Quality and Value are above and beyond. I'm so grateful to have found them. I will continue to go to them for any pool needs I have. If there were more than 5 stars they get them. He was unapologetic when I explained to him that we are new customers and didn't know this policy (because he didn't tell us) that he would take off but charge us for the week. We don't know the holiday observed! Seems he would have let us know. Also if planning to take time off a great customer service person would had offered to come on a different day to still service his clients being he would take off the actual Holiday which was my near service date Thursday ! In my opinion you just don't take off and charge clients when your not servicing them, secondly we should be made aware! Once we hung up he texted and He apologized for his behavior and even offered to discount next month! Seemed pretty Genuine at first glance- but next day said texted to say he longer services my area and left us high and dry. And obviously blocked us! I believe he didn't wanted us as customers and his apology was a ploy to in the end have the last childislaugh! It's not ok to treat ppl this way and his unprofessional should be made aware to all future clients as a heads up! Within less than two days, entire roof removed, replaced all rotten wood, installed new vents, and applied final shingles. Yesterday it was for window washing (1st time) and power washing (2nd time). Fast and good work as always! Donnie always gives me a fair price and was willing to work with me when bundling services. No, he's not the cheapest, but 1) you get what you pay for, and 2) he gets it done ASAP--I called another company before just for a comparison quote, and they said it would be two weeks before they could do it--Five Star came in under two days! I would deduct a quarter star only because they forgot to mention they accidentally broke one of the outer window trims on a garage window --it was very brittle from facing the dry afternoon sun for 20 years, so I completely understand; just wish they had mentioned it. I added that quarter star back because upon arrival, Jerry the foreman pointed out that one of the front screens was busted from age/sun and offered to replace it for a great price--important when selling a house! For many years, I have used Five Star for gutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, screen replacement, outdoor window cleaning and power washing--and they're just as good as ever. Thanks!

I was having difficulty getting anyone to come drain my pool and Javier called me back right away and even came out the same day. He was fast and thorough as well as friendly and knowledgeable.
