My Stomping Grounds is brand new, and judging by the crowd, word has already gotten around. The place was super busy when I visited, with a lively crowd that skewed younger but not college-party young. The first thing that stood out to me was the decor. They did a great job with the space, and the outdoor area is huge, making it a great place to hang out and enjoy an evening with friends. I was excited to see they have a stage, so I'll definitely be keeping an eye on their schedule for live music and bands in the future. Since it's conveniently located next to another spot I visit often, I'm sure I'll be stopping by again. The drinks were good, although a bit pricier than I expected for the area. Still, the atmosphere, energy, and overall vibe made it a fun place to check out. For a brand-new establishment, My Stomping Grounds is off to a strong start, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it grows.

Headed out to the new My Stomping Grounds in Haltom City for a little Sunday Funday! The place is huge, with a sprawling outdoor yard, plenty of seating, and a massive stage that looks ready for some big-name entertainment. It's family-friendly before 9 p.m. and even has a nice playground tucked off to the side for the kids. Tip (I asked): if you get there with the kids before 9 and are still in after 9, you are good! If you try to get in after 9, they will turn you away. Since it was a hot day, we opted to head inside. The indoor space is well done and blends seamlessly with the outdoor atmosphere. Large open bay windows around the bar area make it feel like you're still outside while enjoying some relief from the Texas heat. While the air conditioning wasn't quite as cool as I expected--likely because the bay doors and windows were open--it was definitely more comfortable than sitting outside in the sun. We weren't there for a full meal, but we did order the trio with chips, queso, guacamole, and salsa. The portions were generous enough to share, and the queso was surprisingly good--it stayed smooth and creamy instead of hardening up after a few minutes. Inside, you'll find plenty of seating options, including tables, couches, pool tables, a few arcade games, and several fun photo-op spots. Apparently there's an upstairs area as well, but we didn't get a chance to explore it. One thing that did catch my attention was the indoor ladies' restroom only having two stalls, which seems a bit limited for a venue of this size. There may be additional restrooms outside, but I didn't notice them during our visit. A downside for some may be that they charge a cover on weekends or when live entertainment is scheduled. Food prices seemed pretty average, while drinks were on the higher side--but that's not unusual for a new entertainment venue. Overall, it's a fun spot with a lot of potential. If you're looking for a place to grab a drink, hang out with friends, listen to live music, or bring the family out for a few hours, it's worth checking out. We'll probably be back if we're in the area!

I left a Google review with videos Hear Ye! Hear Ye! A new, fabulous entertainment destination has opened their doors in the north Fort Fort Worth area! My Stomping Grounds is the new standard in entertainment and sports bar destination! Attentive, cheerful staff, great food and the facility is without equal. Bartender Megan was a joy. Hardworking, engaging and funny! I realized that facility just opened their doors within the last 30 days. Respectful suggestions for improvement - The main bar needs a foot rail! Badly needed! - The men's room in the main indoor area had a waiting line most of the night. A urinal trough should replace the one urinal in the main bathroom. One stall is inadequate as well - There was a lot of confusion regarding repeated requests to put on the Stanley Cup hockey game on a television in the main bar area. It seems that only one person in the entire facility is knowledgeable on how to change the audio/video Equipment. I think that could use some improvement. Other than that, we had a fantastic time! We arrived at the facility at 4 PM and stayed a total of eight hours, enjoying great food and great drink! This is a MUST GO!!

We recently visited Stomping Grounds for an adult birthday party with a group of around 15 people. Since it's a newer business, I expected there to be a few growing pains, and unfortunately the atmosphere did feel pretty chaotic and somewhat unorganized throughout the evening. It was extremely crowded, and you could definitely tell the staff was trying to manage a very busy environment. That being said, our waitress was wonderful. She appeared overwhelmed with the number of tables she was handling, but she remained kind, attentive, and did the best she could for our large group. I also want to mention that the owner, Felix, stopped by our table at one point and spoke with me about their pickle pizza, which apparently has received mixed reviews. Personally, I actually thought it was really good and a fun addition to the menu. My only suggestion would be to order it extra crispy, because with all the toppings it can get a little soggy otherwise. Once cooked a bit longer, though, I thought it was great. What left a bad impression on me was the way I was treated later in the evening. After returning from the restroom, I was approached by security and told I needed to leave the property. I calmly asked why and was never given a clear explanation. Eventually, I was told that a bartender claimed I had been "over-served." This confused me because I never once went into the actual bar area or ordered directly from a bartender all night. For context, we had been there for roughly five hours, and while I had drinks throughout the evening, I was not intoxicated, disorderly, or causing any issues whatsoever. In fact, I had been sitting and talking with friends for quite some time before even getting up to use the restroom. I was never argumentative, disrespectful, or disruptive. What made the situation even more confusing was that out of our entire party of about 15 people, I was the only person singled out and asked to leave. No one else in my group was approached or questioned. Considering the amount of alcohol being consumed throughout the venue that evening, I still have not received a clear explanation as to why I, specifically, was removed from the situation. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication and inconsistency. I was first told I needed to leave entirely, then later told I could stay but simply could not order more drinks -- despite not having had a drink for quite a while at that point. No one could clearly explain what behavior justified the situation. Overall, the experience felt very mishandled and honestly left me uncomfortable. I understand businesses have to make judgment calls regarding alcohol service, and I fully respect responsible serving practices. However, if you are going to remove or confront a customer, there should at least be a clear and respectful explanation behind it. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I do not see myself returning.

First off this place is amazing, they have plenty of room for everyone. There's picnic tables everywhere, roomy wooden chairs if you don't need a table. The staff is great, they are friendly and attentive. The food is really good; we had a hot dog with fries, a hamburger with fries and I had a protein bowl with chicken that was delicious. They know how to make real Texas sweet tea. They had the FIFA game on then a band played which had great music they played a little of everything. There's also a play area for the kids. Whether you bring your family, friends or date you are sure to have a great time in their backyard.

This venue is huge and offers and opportunity for the whole family to enjoy some time together. Obliviously it's geared towards the nightlife and sports crowd, with big screens located throughout. Large inside dining and bar area with some pool tables available. Fairly new to area and in the process of training the staff many of which are beginning their 1st job--be kind we all had to start somewhere. The lunch crowd was sparse so we basically had the whole place to ourselves- we didn't make it upstairs this time. Our server Madi did a wonderful job during our visit. I went with the grilled chicken sandwich and fries the wife had chicken tortilla soup with a salad, we shared a bowl of elote which missed the mark, certainly not traditional. We finished it off with Churros with cheesecake stuffing. The churros maybe a little much on the sugar, Everything else was fine. Based on the size of My Stomping Grounds seems like a great place to get together as a group and have a good Ole time together.

Cane by today on a whim 5/30 and it's opening weekend. Because of the talent and opening seeking, there was a $10 cover. That's not bad but it prompts you for a tip as you are walking in-Hard Pass! You can leave and come back as long as you have your bracelet! It is rather warm but there are lots of fans. It looks like they have misters on them but they aren't on. There is a lot of shade but honestly they need more during the day. Great open space for kids to play on turf. Three fire pits which will be great in the late fall/winter. Live music at 3:00, Christopher Wright, is pretty good and there will be more music into the night. Service was fair, we sat right up at the bar and made eye contact with several servers and we were ignored. Someone finally asked if we had been helped and she was great. Food came out super quick! The Big Bird was more bird than bun and that's always a good sign. It needed salt but was otherwise great! The fries were also amazing! Spiked lemonade was delicious and marg as well. We will be back!

We came here for the first time to watch a USA game. We got there a couple hours before the game and there was a live band on stage who were really good. It was a little busy but still some seats and we decided to sit outside. We got our first drink at the bar then a server said she could work our section. I was looking at the online menu on the website and ordered mozzarella sticks. I didn't realize that it was different on game day, she was busy so she didn't bring out a menu but it came out with fried pickles and jalapeños. I don't do spicy so my husband ate the jalapeños and he said even for him they had a kick! I had two game day cocktails I saw the menu when I walked in the front, after I ordered a Diet Coke and it took so long to come out, like 30 mins. So part of me just wanted to go order it myself I was so thirsty. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars cause I felt obliged to use the server, she was very nice though. It's a very cool place, kid friendly with a playground, lots of screens for games and indoor and outdoor seating. It's only 5 mins drive from our house so we will be back!

Wings and Vegetarian pizza! Pizza was perfectly cheesy and fresh. Wings had great sauce and were crispy. Ranch was homemade for sure
    Natalie S.

Food-Pizza,Wings and Bruschetta. Pizza was perfectly cheesy, prosciutto was salty but not overpowering, arugula was fresh and the glaze set it off.crust was crispy and light. Drinks-The Mix tape was fruity and light tasting. The Dazed and confused was fresh and strong. The beer was ice cold. Service-busy but very attentive Atmosphere was 10 outta 10. Inside people were playing pool, laughing and having a drinks. Patio was shady and there wasn't a bad seat in the whole place to see the stage and watch the concert. The people that own this place NAILED it. Grew up in Haltom and it needed a good place to hang out and just relax with good food and a cold drink!

First time at this place last night and it was a lovely atmosphere, very very busy but the service was pretty timely and there's lots of amenities including pool table and corn hole. Food was okay, they only had the limited FIFA menu which we weren't aware of and so we couldn't get what we wanted. Our waitress later told us we could actually get the pizza, but we couldn't cancel our current order so it wasn't very useful. I'm unsure if I would go again, I'm pretty sure I was overcharged on my credit card too.

Went during their grand opening and had a great experience. Despite how busy it was, the staff did a fantastic job. Our waitress forgot our water, but everyone was working hard and remained friendly. The appetizer had more chips than guac, but the quality and flavor were excellent.

The ribeye and chicken fried steak are particularly big. - Ribeye: 16 oz, and it was tougher than I'm used to in NYC but I wonder if that's the TX style? The sauce was good, and not overpowering, and the string beans/cauliflower along with the mashed potatoes were good too. - Country fried steak: the crispy breading and steak itself was good. The gravy was good too but it was missing something - more salt or something to offset. I ate this with their signature pepper sauce which helped. - Calf fries: testicle, but if I didn't know, I don't know that I would have caught on. Similar to the CFS, it needed something to add to the flavor besides the gravy. - Large salad: a basic spring mix with a balsamic vinaigrette

When it rains, there are beer buckets everywhere trying to catch water pouring in from the ceiling. There are puddles all over the floor and parts of the ceiling look like they could cave in at any time. It feels extremely unsafe for customers and staff. Every weekend they bring in bands, but there is never enough seating. People are forced to stand and hover over others who are seated because there simply aren't enough tables. Adding more high-top tables would help tremendously. The tables, chairs, and bar stools that are there are in awful condition--many are broken, wobbly, and the cushions are completely worn out or missing. The overall cleanliness is also a problem. The bar needs a serious deep cleaning. There are cobwebs hanging from signs inside, exposed electrical wires in places, and the clear drinking glasses are not always properly cleaned. I've personally received drinks in glasses that still had lipstick marks on them. The bathrooms are another issue. The stall doors don't close properly and several toilet seats are loose. They are clearly overdue for repairs and updating. The only bright spot is the wait staff--they are friendly and do their best. But it's frustrating that you almost never see the owners around addressing any of these problems. With the amount of business this place gets on weekends, it's disappointing that basic maintenance, safety, and cleanliness seem to be ignored. This place has potential, but right now it feels poorly maintained and unsafe.

UPDATE: Until this organization is under new management, I…read morecan not in good conscience recommend it to anyone... As things stand right now, this is not a godly company. It is toxic and corrupt. I ask that you please pray for them. Thank you. -------------------------- I was a part of this organization for 7 years. So let's start with the GOOD qualities... * 1. If you want to be a "triple threat" (one who has experience with acting, dance, and vocal training), this is an ok place to start. You will learn the very basics of all three. Having this training will look great on any performer's resume... * 2. A chance to perform in front of an audience. It's always good to have stage experience. It helps you to grow as a performer.... Now... let's get to the BAD qualities... * 1. None of the teachers have special training in the arts. Many of them just grew up within the organization, starting out as students and then working their way up to leadership positions. So if you want to be taught by a professional performer with a degree, you're not going to find it here... * 2. YOU WILL SPEND A POOP LOAD OF MONEY. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING. NOT JUST THE CLASSES.. SHOW CLOTHES, TRAVELING, "PRODUCTION FEES" (even as a paid WORKER I had to pay the "production fee" of $100.) It makes you wonder where all the money is going... * 3. The music material is overdone. They choose to perform to the same music every season. They might add two new songs, but the rest are embarrassingly outdated... * 4. CPAC use to have a teacher that taught multiple forms of dance. But unfortunately, she has since left the company, so now the only form of dance they teach is "show choir". And to be honest, it gets old very fast... * 5. The choir's performing apparel is god awful. The outfits are absolutely horrendous... * 6. The way the director treats her employees.. here's my own personal experience.. I was definitely taken advantage of while working for this company. I started officially teaching there when I was 16, and since it was my first job, I had no idea what I should have been getting paid. I was a performing arts teacher there and top performer in the company's professional band for about 4 years. I also did some directing and stage managing for many of the shows. I worked way over 40 hours if you include teaching multiple classes throughout the week, band rehearsal, class rehearsals, and performances... All of that... And I was only getting paid $300 a month......... a MONTH..... FOR ALL THAT WORK... it was a learning experience for me when it comes to performing, but also when it comes to being screwed over.... On top of all that, I had to pay for the show clothes, fancy makeup, traveling expenses, etc... *** So here's my final word. Basically, feel free to take classes there for a year maybe, just to learn the basics of performing. Plus it looks good on an acting resume. But don't stay there too long! It will take over your entire schedule! It keeps you busy beyond belief!! It's only good for a short amount of time. Then you have to move on and take classes elsewhere. Keep adding to your resume and grow in the performing arts. Don't let anyone stunt your growth as a performer. Keep moving forward to bigger and better things.

I'll give credit where credit is due. This organization is a HUGE part of my personal testimony;…read moresome good, but mostly bad. I started as a student of this organization at the age of 9. I loved Jesus and was young in my faith. I had a passion for performing arts and wanted to use my passions for Jesus. At first I LOVED IT. The teachers were fun and kind. All my closest friends were there. The director seemed a bit tough and critical at times, but she was a leader so she must have a good reason for making kids cry and feel bad about themselves. But by the time I was 13 I started realizing something was TERRIBLY wrong. I was asked to be a teacher (at THIRTEEN) and apart of their professional group UNITY. I was asked to go to online school so I could dedicate all my time there. Soon I was in meetings with the director Marcia Hall almost daily. She would spend that time criticizing every member of the group in front of one another. She would scream, name call, gaslight, and manipulate. This woman's Motto was "my way or the highway". If anyone disagreed they were thrown out and blamed for being terrible Christians. She controlled every aspect of my life (what to wear, say, think, believe, post). I remember being told I couldn't talk to anyone who decided to leave or be friends with them anymore. She constantly was talking trash about the parents and telling us how they didn't know how to raise their OWN KIDS, so she had to teach them what was right. She hid behind the Bible and used it to shame, scare, and control. I remember Bible study after Bible study with her where she used the Bible to show me why I was a sinner and needed to be better. I received no grace from her. I was promised I would be paid when I was 16. By that time I was working 40 hours a week and paid 100 a month IF she remembered. If anyone questioned why they hadn't received a paycheck she would call them greedy. I felt like I couldn't leave because she would guilt us into staying and say terrible things about kids that chose to go. I left at age 17 because God spoke clearly to me that this was not who He was. He wasn't legalistic... he was full of grace and love. So I have Marcia to thank for showing me what poor leadership looks like. God used this experience to deepen my love for and understanding of Him. I'm currently getting my bachelors in worship leadership and am considering getting my masters. I suppose Marcia could call me lazy... but it's just not the truth. I gave her 8 dedicated years of my life. Blood, sweat, tears, MONEY, and years of endured abuse. But I learned better, realized what spiritual and emotional abuse looks like (I guess that's just "hard work" to her) and I left. I guess she's mad about me deciding I needed healthy boundaries. Look up narcissist... that's her. I write this review with the heart and intention to protect these little ones as God commands us to do. I pray God would show her how she's hurt hundreds of kids and change her heart. But until that happens do not send your kids here. There are plenty of other Christian performing arts organizations that you can send your kids to. Abusive director/founder Was there from 2008-2016
