Best indoor golf practice facility I've ever been to! I've gone to my fair share of spots, and I'm used to smaller setups with 2 enclosed bays that sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic. This studio though, feels much larger with more bays (I think 8?), and the open concept made me feel like I was at an outdoor golf range. For anyone serious about improving their golf game, this place is a must. The cameras record your swing from down the line and face on, so you're able to review each swing. There's like a gazillion data points you can check out, so it's great for all of you that are more analytical and want to see your numbers. You can also download the info to review at home later. What an amazing golf training center! As a new dad I don't have a ton of time to work on my game, but the new tech at My Swing Studio lets me pack as much feedback and progress as possible into a one hour session. I've worked on simulators before, but in addition to all the standard metrics there a few things that set this place apart in terms of the level you feedback you get: slow motion replays of the club face at impact show exact impact conditions, and every swing is automatically recorded face on and down the line for instant review. The RangeX system also connects to your phone, so you can download swing replays and collect shot data over time. And at the center of it all is Daniel, a wonderful golf instructor. I took a series of lessons with Daniel a few years back, and it was a great experience. We went into technical details, but he was always able to boil things down to the one most important feel to work on. Beyond the top notch golf instruction, Daniel is a genuine and positive person -- I always look forward to going in and chatting about golf and life. Oh, and the lessons worked! TL;DR: Top-notch tech, awesome practice facility, and a 100/10 swing coach. So excited to have this place open in San Carlos! It's an amazing indoor practice facility with several hitting bays, each fully equipped with RangeX systems--cameras, sensors, auto-tee golf balls, and kiosks for instant video and data feedback. It feels like a fancy golf facility straight out of South Korea! Daniel also has a couple of GCQuads available for lessons, and I highly recommend his coaching. I'm beyond excited to spend time here tuning up my swing and improving my game. Including my original review re: coaching below! ======= I've spent a lot of time looking for a good golf instructor. Daniel at My Swing Studio is leagues above the rest. I'd strongly recommend him for golfers of all levels. Daniel does an amazing job incorporating both swing feel and technology+numbers into his teaching. Some instructors focus too much on feel. "Just feel like you're moving left to right; just feel like you're hitting down on the ball." Other instructors use technology and focus too much on numbers. "You want the launch angle to be x. Try to get your backspin closer to y rpms." Daniel is right down the middle, bringing both his experience with swing feel as a pro golfer AND his technical knowledge with the awesome GC Quad and high speed cameras in his studio. So happy to see that coach Daniel was able to open up this new facility. I've taken lessons from him back at his old spot in Redwood City and this new space is a huge upgrade. The practice bays are amazing with the auto ball feeder and the detail launch monitor. You're able to also download the app and have videos of your shots downloaded for review. There is also an area for some workout and mobility work as well which is fantastic. 10/10 for the space As for lessons, coach Daniel is great at explaining how to work on the necessary changes to improve your swing. I've come out of every lesson with improvement that I see right away on the golf course. I've had lessons for various instructors and although these lessons are 30 minutes, I get so much out of it that I don't feel the need to have a full hour (though I wouldn't mind since he's a great instructor :D ).
