My Thai (both locations) are my family's go-to Thai restaurants - and Thai is my brother's favorite food so that's gotta mean something, right?? 99% of the time we order carryout but we ate at the restaurant one time and the experience was just as enjoyable as ordering carryout. The interior is bright and has lots of green and blue reminiscent of a jungle; I like how unique it is compared to most darker-toned atmospheres. We ordered the Num Tok as an appetizer. I ordered beef but they brought out chicken, but we decided to just eat the chicken and order another beef. I didn't like either of them, they were very... salty and just not my sort of jam. My brother liked it a lot though. The four of us shared out main courses. We got beef pad ka tiem, beef pad see ew, shrimp mixed vegetable and chicken basil fried rice. All of the dishes were excellent! The portion sizes are very good for the price, which is a rare find for Thai restaurants. We usually end up having leftovers which makes for a great deal. The Pad See Ew is both me and my Dad's favorite, and for good reason. The sauce is delicious and they are very generous with the vegetables and meat - plus they use Chinese broccoli instead of normal broccoli to make it even better. My Thai is perfect for both special occasions and lazy nights in, it all depends on your mood and whether or not you want to eat inside. read more

I stopped by My Thai Place for lunch today. The restaurant is very cute, with polka dot wallpaper and chandeliers. The servers were very attentive. I ordered off of their lunch menu. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and fried wontons. I ordered a side of peanut sauce to go with the pad Thai. I thought the pad Thai was tasty, but the chicken was a little dry. I tend to order this dish with shrimp, so that is my preference, but that wasn't an option on the lunch menu. The wontons were super crispy and the sauce was sweet and a little tangy, but I wasn't so sure on the filling or what it was. I probably wouldn't order those again. All in all, I enjoyed my experience and I plan to come back and explore other menu items. read more

They had Thai boat noodle long ago but that no longer on the menu. Appetizers are generic but the main dishes hold the true flavor of this place. Great Thai place in centreville! I got the chicken pad Thai, Thai ice tea, and chicken satay. Everything came out great and delicious. Thai ice tea - one of the best I've had so far. It is not too sweet compare to other places I've been too. I love that you can get a free Thai tea if you check in on Yelp - a PLUS! Chicken satay - the chicken was great. I think it was coated in some curry flavoring which tasted great. The dish came with 2 sauces - a peanut sauce and a sweeter one that looks like water and sugar? I was not too clear what the white sauce was but it was sweet.. was not too big of a fan of that but the peanut sauce was great! Chicken pad Thai - great flavor and seasoning. The portion was very large (it was 2 meals for me) which i thought was a plus for the price. The sauce was a little more sweeter side than other pad Thai's I've had but overall still great. The restaurant does a great job maintaining social distancing and all the waiters wore masks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to try a new Thai place! read more

After our local Thai place fell victim of shrink-flation and removing any kind of vegetables and flavor, you know the stuff a chef does without being tipped, we were on the hunt to expand our delivery range and try something new. My Thai Place is an amazing Thai place in Centreville! This was our first time here and as we were walking in another customer was walking out and said it was the best Thai food in the area. It's a very cute spot, perfect for date night. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp. We also couldn't help but order a Thai Tea. The food came out pretty quickly and it was so delicious! The Pad Thai was flavorful and the Fried Rice was so buttery soft and tasty. They also give great portions for the price. I was seated immediately at a small table for two by the window. It was mid day Friday so not a lot of people but there were probably 8-10 people in the restaurant. I always order the same thing, Drunken Noodles, extra spicy so I didn't need the menu. Food came out within 5 minutes. It was super fast. The noodles were amazing!! My mouth is watering as I write this haha! And it's the spiciest anyone has ever made for me so it sold me 100%. Family wanted to try different dishes so we ordered three appetizers. One was fried shrimp wrapped in wonton wrapper, fried calamari and papaya salad. Shrimp cocktail came out instead of the fried shrimp. When it did finally come, my first bite of shrimp was cold. So we rejected the dish. The calamari was dry inside, like it was frozen and they were thin slices. Other dishes were ok. I've had better elsewhere. Service was ok. I have been here a few times, at random times. We arrived at the airport a bit early for lunch, so after leaving with our rental car, we soon began looking for somewhere to eat. We located this place and exited the highway. We drove about half a mile and located the plaza where our nav-app directed us. This area is jam packed with shopping plazas. Once we turned in where we were directed, it was difficult to find the restaurant. There are multiple parallel buildings with parking in between, and you have to be close enough to read the sign above the establishment to know where you are. After circling the building once, we spotted the restaurant. Inside, the décor looks more...we decided it was French, than Thai. Maybe they took it over from another former restaurant? It looked nice, just not like any Thai place I've seen. Their dining room is not huge but was over half full with other parties. Our server was covering most if not all of the restaurant and she seemed quite efficient. We ordered and got our food fairly quickly. I got Drunken Noodle, as I had not had that lately. It was tasty, and the portion was not overly large (I finished it). It was a good lunch. I think you got a choice of soup or spring roll also. My wife enjoyed her dish as well. After lunch, finding our way out of the plaza was another adventure. Aside from the driving, I'm glad we chose this spot for lunch. read more

Initially going in, the customer service was great, we were seated immediately, and got our menus, as well as our order taken fast! I ordered drunken noodles w/tofu, spicy basil fried rice w/chicken and the noodle Tom yum soup (would definitely recommend this one as it was the perfect balance of tangy but not too sour or vinegary). I wish the food was a bit spicier but not complaining too much on that as I'm sure if I had asked they would've made it spicier. If you check in, you get a free Thai ice tea, which I personally did not enjoy because I'm not a fan of super sweet drinks and this was definitely SUPER sweet-- overly sweet that I waited for the ice to melt for it to become a little more watered down. I haven't eaten Thai food in a while and was looking to end my drought of it. This place had good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I'm happy I did! The decor in this place is really cute. They have a black/white theme going with sparkly chandeliers. We decided to start our meal with som tum. I always order this when I go out to eat Thai food. The papaya salad is one of my favorite Thai dishes. The salad was good, but really spicy! I was not expecting that at all. I would definitely order it again, but ask them to make it more mild. I like spicy for its flavor, not the heat. Fortunately, the service was very attentive and refilled my much needed water. For our main entrees, we both went with the crispy duck basil. The duck was very crispy and flavored well, but I didn't realize until I finished the meal that they forgot to put the crispy basil on our duck!! That's why I'm knocking this down one star. That's one of my favorite parts of the dish, and I was sad it didn't make it on our dishes. I don't know if they ran out or forgot to add it. Otherwise, I'd recommend this spot. We were really craving fried whole fish so we decided to stop by here for dinner. We ordered a papaya salad to start - the salad was fine but the peanuts in the salad were old. When nuts get too old and have that weird taste? Theirs had that - get new peanuts! We were also one of only 3 tables in the restaurant on a Saturday night the whole dinner, but a simple papaya salad took a while to come out (compared to other places usually) We then ordered the whole flounder with chili sauce on the side. It was $40 market price that day. It came out very brown - overfried. Again, how do you not keep your eye on a fish frying with only 3 tables? Needless to say, the fish meat was dry and not tender. The chili sauce also was way way too sweet. There was no "chili" taste to it, it was more like a sweet onion sauce. The servers were all nice, but the food...what a disappointing dinner. read more

We went there recently and ordered standard Thai dishes such as drunken noodles, Green Curry and my son took a chance with something new called Paradise. The description said minced meat in some garlic sauce but what he got was uncooked chicken balls with a little bit of sauce. The wait staff had attitude and was extremely rude and defensive.
