Hi everybody My aunt, her family friend, her son, and I went to eat lunch at Thai Tyme in Manassas, VA, and it was wonderful, amazing, and very artful , no question about it. I loved my food, as they were simply delicious in no uncertain terms! I ate the Chicken Satay, Chicken Tom Yum Soup, and Pad Thai! I washed my hands first and used the restroom of course. We met Kumar the waiter, and we met the Owner, as well! My aunt had her food, and everybody else ate their food and they was wonderful for sure. I placed a delivery order. The menu offers a good selection of tasty dishes, and everything I tried had its own standout flavors. I started with the crispy beef, which came with a portion of crispy kale and I have to say, the kale was absolutely delicious. The beef had a good flavor, but it was a bit too tough for my personal taste. I went with one shrimp fried rice and two chicken basil fried rice, taking advantage of the buy-one-get-one special. They were both tasty, and I loved pairing them with the Panang curry sauce. The summer spring rolls were fresh and came with a special peanut sauce that was rich and creamy. Sadly after many years of being loyal customers, we are done. Even if there are only 2 or 3 tables in the restaurant, they cater to Doordash, etc. Choose to dine in? Good luck. We waited 20 minutes...with no service...nothing. We finally left for the last time. If you want pick up or Doordash probably fine. Dont dine in. Service is actually non existant. Incredible food and cozy, unique atmosphere! I had the drunken noodles and they were absolutely delicious -- packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Easily some of the best I've had! The decor was old-timesy and very interesting, with lots of character. It added such a unique charm to the experience and made the place feel warm and inviting. The waitresses were super nice! I ordered the wrong thing. I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice and Drunken Noodles. When I meant to order Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad See Ew, so, it was my first time trying it. I've had Pad See Ew before and I loved the sweet undertone that makes the other flavors in the dish come alive. Unlike Drunken Noodles which are made with a little heat (I looked it up). One of few Thai restaurants in Chantilly that serves up some traditional and original entrees. They definitely have the usual options you would expect at any Thai restaurant like the Pad Se Ew, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodle, and Curry. They also had a few options that were unique to the restaurant so I had to at least give it a try. We went with the chicken satay, house special fried rice, and an original chicken dish (can't remember the name but it's the chicken on top of the greens with rice on the rice). The chicken satay was cooked well and paired with a tasty peanut sauce. The fried rice had a good balance of rice, veggies and had some heat but unfortunately did not have too much protein. The original chicken dish was kinda plain despite being cooked/topped in a sauce. I'd probably skip on this option and go with something more known. Overall, pretty decent option for Thai food. read more

This is probably our favorite local place and a hidden gem. Service is always excellent and they seem to do much more take out/delivery than dine in--so we are very comfortable coming here in the age of COVID. Decor is cute and everything is always nice and clean. Have tried lots on their menu. Favorite appetizers include the Thai wings, which are lightly breaded and served in a savory get spicy sauce. The amount is perfect for two to share. Spring rolls and curry puffs are good. Love their beef and papaya salad, but I ask for lighter dressing as there is a lot and it is spicy. For dinner, my main is the panang curry with chicken. The sauce is thick and the chicken is thinly sliced. Their pad see ew is also great and you can't go wrong with their Thai Lo Main special. If somehow you still have room, they have the most amazing (very non Thai) dessert of a multi layer chocolate brownie cake with peanut butter mousse. While I tend to go for mango sticky rice, this id a new favorite and worth saving room for. read more

We tried this restaurant last weekend as we were looking for a new Thai restaurant. This is a small restaurant, but we were able to grab a spot around 7:30 PM on a Friday. The ambiance is nice and they do have outdoor seating. The service was prompt as well. I ordered the following: - Veggie Dumplings: loved this dish. The veggies were well seasoned and sautéed. I ordered the larb gai and I thought it was one of the better ones around NoVa. I also ordered the duck noodle soup. Broth was tasty but I wished the duck was crispy and not soggy in the soup. Overall flavor was decent I ordered the orange seafood curry to take home. Upon opening it up a few hours later, it looked like the curry was super water and didn't have flavor. Our favorite Thai spot in Manassas (and not just because this was where we had our second date)! Customer service is great and the food is delicious. We had the Duck Roll as our appetizer and it was so good I'd honestly order it if they had an entree portion. The Tofu Pad Thai had the perfect amount of sauce and the tofu was crispy. Great service, very welcoming atmosphere and authentic dishes. The jasmine tea isn't loose leaf, but that doesn't matter when you've got sweet Tom kha soup that's tangy and loaded with chicken. The chive dumplings were INCREDIBLE and I'm so glad we tried them!!!!! They come in cubes and are so cute too. I wish I'd gotten more photos of the food! I know it may sound strange to have pineapples in your fried rice but trust me, once you try it, you will fully understand what I mean. The Garlic Sauce with chicken was a coupled with fresh steamed broccoli and white rice. The sauce is what makes this dish a star. Not over garlicky but the taste is there. Thai Tyme actually has Chicken Spring Rolls for $7.95, and they are very tasty. Full of lots of ground chicken. Most Thai restaurants offer only Vegetable Spring Rolls or claim to have pork or chicken but with little or minimal meat. These are awesome. I'd highly recommend you try them. read more

Beautiful restaurant - and one day I'll eat INSIDE! I've been picking up my meals so I haven't stayed to eat there. The staff is prompt in greeting me and the food comes out promptly as well. The only thing I would recommend is to not bag the cold salads with the hot meals. It wilted my lettuce and that wasn't very appetizing (though the salads are wonderful). This is my new favorite Thai place! It's a good spot near Wegmans, crumbl cookie and other shops/ restaurants. The restaurant is nice inside and has an open vibe concept. The staff is friendly and attentive. We've tried both the pad see ew and drunken noodle and LOVE both! They each have a great flavor, a nice char on it and still saucy. The noodle to veggie/ meat ratio is great. The lunch special is great too. The side salad could be bigger in my opinion. The dressing on it is very tasty. I've gotten the medium spicy for both dishes and it's pretty hot. I can handle some heat so recommend starting low and then add it on after. The crab Rangoon appetizer wasn't my favorite. I do appreciate that they're homemade and stuffed and wrapped individually. I like that they use crab stick. But it needs more cream cheese and scallion and flavoring. It's a lot of the paper/ crunch and not enough filing. Not a good ratio. The yellow curry is really good too. I do think they need to add more veggies to it. I absolutely love their Tom yum and Tom kha soups. Their papaya salad is amazing I never have enough. I also really enjoyed their pad Thai and the pineapple fried rice (spectacularly served in a pineapple). Their table service is great! The restaurant is very calming and cozy, it definitely lends itself for a very comfortable eating experience. I mean excellent restaurant no complaints and I absolutely recommend.
