This place was mid but I could see why people like it. I'm semi convinced that Chinese takeout spots become your favorite over time and nostalgia. Anyway, they have all day combos which comes with rice or fried rice and an egg roll. Most places only have combos for lunch. We ordered the general tso chicken combo with plain rice and chicken in hunan style with plain rice, chicken lo mein, and Szechuan green beans. I didn't love either the general tso chicken or Hunan chicken, but they were both good. General tso chicken includes both white and dark meat. The dark meat isn't skinless, and immediately falls off with the batter. The sauce was good though- tangy and sweet. I agree with another Yelp that the protein could be chopped into smaller pieces. Hunan style chicken was a touch salty but was good with rice. The green beans are usually my favorite at other restaurants, but it was a little under seasoned and under cooked here. The lomein was nothing special. Chicken in the lomein is dry. Ambiance- it looks like they don't offer dine in any more. The tables were clustered and roped off. read more

Great place for carry out dinner! The Cantonese Chow Fun [Beef] was delicious. They didn't over cook the noodles. The Beef with Green Peppers was good too. The orange chicken consisted of large pieces of chicken breast covered with flour. I personally like this because it meant more protein compared to other Chinese restaurants that have smaller amounts of chicken and more flour. My order consisted of small Moo Goo Gai Pan, Moo Shu Pork, Pork in Hunan Style, and Sha Cha Pork. Each entree came with a small side of rice and fortune cookie. In addition, the Moo Shu Pork came with 4 pancake wrappers and a sweet dipping sauce (plum sauce) on the side. Each dish had a variety of vegetables. The Moo Goo Gai Pan contains mushroom, snow peas, broccoli, water chestnut, bamboo shoots, and chicken. The Moo Shu Pork contains cabbage, mushroom, scrambled eggs, and pork. Pork in Hunan Style and Sha Cha Pork are spicy dishes (not strong for people with medium or higher spicy level tolerances) that had many of the same ingredients and tasted pretty similar. This is our go-to Chinese spot in the area! We've always ordered from here when we've had our cravings for American-Chinese food since moving to the area and it has been consistent each time. Their menu has a huge variety of appetizers, rices, noodles, veggies, and all of the meats (beef, chicken, seafood, pork, etc.) and it's easy to get overwhelmed. My husband is a big fan of the corn and chicken soup and lo mein and I love their fried rice with Chinese sausage as well as their Singapore street noodles. You also can't go wrong with their Szechuan string beans, the spicy kick makes eating vegetables fun. Each order comes with plenty of rice as well as fortune cookies. Portions are fair and sharable. The broccoli is perfectly crunchy, the meat is juicy, the sauce is just the right sweet and it comes together so nicely. Is it organic? No. Does it have minimal ingredients that are all clean? Likely not...BUT, nobody and I mean nobody does it like you. I have been ordering this exact, perfected Beef with Broccoli from you since 1992. I was in 2nd grade the first time I had the beef and broccoli.... at the time I remember thinking this is full time. I mean really full time. I distinctly remember I would collect my dad's loose change (8.25 cents got me a beef and broccoli...this was the 90s/early 2000s) and I would ride my bike to the colonnade and order my beloved beef with broccoli. Still searching for a great Chinese delivery restaurant in the area when I get the craving for basic Chinese food (fried rice). I have pretty much come to the conclusion that there are no decent Chinese delivery places in the Centreville area. This is located near the Clifton Giant and I was always curious to try their food. The time finally came on a Tuesday when another Chinese take-out place near my house was closed. I ordered a Tofu with Vegetables as I would at another place, and I missed my usual one from the other store. This one from China Express was okay but it had less ingredients and was less flavorful. We placed the order online - and although it took a little longer than the time they said it would be ready, I saw that they were pretty busy operating as a take-out and delivery only service at this time. Kung Pao Chicken We usually order from here as we like their selection of food (to include pad Thai and sushi). We ordered the kung pao chicken and it did not even resemble kung pao. The chicken was in slices. There maybe was a tablespoon of peanuts and the rest was HUGE chunks of green and red bell peppers. I have a food sensitivity to bell peppers. It was hugely disappointing. I'm giving this restaurant three stars as an average of my carryout orders. Sometimes the food is piping hot and delicious. Other times, it seems as if they scooped the food from a buffet station hidden in the kitchen because the food is warm at best. I always arrive at the restaurant ahead to pick up the food as soon as it comes out of the kitchen.
