They have a lunch menu, that are reasonable priced and delicious. The restaurant offers a discount for paying with cash, which is a great option if you happen to carry cash. I've taken advantage of the discount, and while we did receive the discount, the server mentioned that they didn't have any coins to give us our change. I then asked if they could break my $5 bill so I could leave a tip, but they weren't able to do that either. I found this somewhat counterintuitive--if a restaurant encourages customers to pay in cash by offering a discount, it should also be prepared to provide the correct change. In our case, the amount of change we were owed was actually more than the discount we received. While I appreciate the cash discount, I hope the restaurant can improve its ability to provide change for cash-paying customers. read more

This place is great. It was packed early on a Saturday night considering it was 20° and freezing. We were seated by the door but they were kind enough to let us move to a table farther away so we can be warm. The service here is amazing. Their sodas come in giant beer glasses but I still needed a refill which they brought promptly. I love that. The pork tenderloin appetizer was so good I forgot to take a pic. I had their tom yum soup with shrimp and the pad Thai white chicken. Both tasted very authentic. I thought the noodles for pad Thai were strange (very thin, not the usual flat noodles) but the flavor was on point. My friends got the cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and crispy basil fried rice with chicken and both cleaned their plates. Overall wonderful experience. The decor is good and comfortable, was very welcoming on the rainy day it was. Service was very good, I made the mistake of not reading the menu fully but the server accommodated for me (Japanese kitchen didn't open until 3pm that was my fault for not reading the menu). I ordered the chicken parang curry and it was delicious. Chicken wasn't dry and the panang curry had a hint of spicy and sweet. All the hallmarks I was looking for. I was worried because they offered a lot in the menu but it didn't take long to receive my food. I was able to order my spicy salmon roll, which was a nice plus. Pleasant experience. Highly recommended! (A-) Got take out dinner, and the restaurant has fantastic seating indoor & out, great layout, and the staff were super friendly & accommodating. I got the ginger chicken & rice, which was awesome- and shared a spicy tuna roll with my teenage daughter. We ordered a second, it was that good. Spouse had a teriyaki chicken which she said was very good, but the sauce was more Thai than Japanese. The Thai iced tea was also very good, but they need to change their coconut milk source, it was a bit too sweet for me. Would definitely return to again. We've been here a few times, this wouldve been at least a 3 star perhaps 1yr ago. It was our "OK to go to for Thai place". Nothing special. Nothing memorable. Just home comfort food ~ish (its not possible to make it as good as home after all), but we're on the road. Today though, it was our last. Not only was our chicken dry, it was even precut hours before it was served. Id say its better to have fresher food that doesnt taste as well, than not fresh food at all. Theres a saying, that ones the "restaurant" tries to sell everything else, it ends there. And perhaps that was the nail on the coffin; they now have "Japanese" foods on the menu, but the waitress told us it wouldnt be available to order until another 2hrs (so why give us the menu, as the other newer people around us also asked). Then the food came. Not only was the meats dry inside, but even our rice looked to be just several hours old, not fresh. Staff: Fresh has to be the 1st ingredient. If you dont do that, be up front and advise the user + give them discount for your already overpriced food ($20 for chicken + rice for 1 person is insane; could've spent that to feed at least 1 family at home. For a group of 4, thats almost groceries for a week. To rub it in, the staff was wearing shorts + crocks. Doesnt look like a place that is at all trying to show any sort of professionalism. They are showing + tasting everything around shortcuts & saving a buck. And I'm not alone, the table before us left so much food uneaten as they were also disgusted, and the group next to us were also saddened Sushi was another 2hrs, and ate less than 1/2 their food before leaving. read more

I visited this place on a Monday for an early lunch and was able to walk right in. It did get progressively more busy as I was there. There is parking in front and it is within walking distance from many of the campus buildings. The place was large, with lots of seating on both sides. Unfortunately when I visited they only had the Thai menu and the Japanese food was not available, but there were still plenty of Thai items to choose from. I ended up ordering the drunken noodle with crispy pork belly. The portion was large and I still had enough to take some to go. Kind of a random location and far away but so good if you're out in manassas! The service was so slow I definitely think the servers forgot about our group sometimes. The inside of this restaurant is clean and spacious. They fill up at 6 on weekends and were super quiet by close to 8. The serving sizes here are huge as well as is the menu! I had a giant Thai tea and it was really tasty and not too sweet. I also had pad see ew with chicken and extra egg. Delicious! Also a massive serving. We've been coming here for 2 1/2 years at least, and my boyfriend and I still enjoy it. The staff is consistently attentive, and the food is always great. My boyfriend always doubles his protein portions, and is always impressed by the amount of shrimp he receives here. I've become a big fan of the pad ginger, though the panang curry with chicken is also reliably good. The chocolate lava cake is always outstanding, though it's a tiny portion. I found myself in Manassas ( which I'm not familiar with.),and I was surprised to find that this restaurant is on the campus of George Mason University. The dining room is longer than it is wide, but it's tastefully decorated. I ordered the vegetable Tom Yum soup and seafood pad Thai. Tom yum was full of veggies and good. Thai ice tea also good. So on my last visit I hosted a gathering for eight people at midday on a Saturday. I was hoping for the best and mum mum did not disappoint! Both the food and service were great. We didn't realize this was right accross from the Hilton performance center on the Prince William Mason Campus. Kinda sweet considering that's where we met (sappy!!!!) The spot was decorated for Halloween to the 9s! Seems like a great spot for a college campus!!! The drunken noodles were so good- even without beef the flavor was still there, that's not easy to do! Very nice restaurant with a patio tucked into the George Mason area. Drinks and food came out in decent time. Everything came out looking good even though the waiter seemed confused when we ordered. My meal was good, my wife's pad thai had eggshell in it for her first three bites. After that she wasn't willing to take another bite. We let the manager know and even though she took three bites, they decided to discount her meal 50% rather than comp. Greedy decision and not very apologetic for having egg shells in the food. The atmosphere was beautiful. Ordered the fantasy roll and the tempura came out stale and the roll was chewy. The waitstaff didn't even know to give us a dish and dot sauce for sushi. My beer was unopened. All of us ordered ramen the TumYum ramen and it came out cold. I sent mine back twice and came back microwaved which made the squid chewy and tempura mush. All the ramen came out cold. There were only 2 other tables. I am disappointed this was over a $100.00 lunch that was served stale and cold. I 10/20 would not recommend at sll. Mum mum is a decent Thai food place, it's great if you have a craving for Thai food and want a quick fix. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles with 4/5 spice and the thai iced tea. The drunken noodles were a decent portion size and there was a good ratio of noodles to chicken. I will say that it was quite spicy but I brought it upon myself because I chose level 4. The Thai tea was quite good as well! It wasn't too watery or sweet but just the right consistency. It did not take very long for us to get our food even on a very busy night as there was an event being hosted at the restaurant. Ordered take out from Mum Mum, and I had a much improved experience. My last order was satisfactory, but this order was very good. Our group ordered a variety of vegetarian items to share, all of which were good. The pad Thai and red curry were pretty standard, but the Tofu Oh Cha and the crispy green beans were outstanding. The tofu oh cha is gingery and has delectable mushrooms. The fried tofu was packed separately, so it would not get soggy. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, with a slightly crispy texture. The sauce is perfectly velvety. The crispy green beans have a delicate seasoning and are slightly smoky. The texture is a perfectly crispy, delicate breading over a tender but still firm green bean. There are crispy scallion pieces mixed in. It is served with a sweet chili sauce, but it doesn't even need the accompaniment. The fresh spring rolls are decent and served with a satay-style peanut sauce. This time, I ordered everything not spicy, which I think is a new addition to the order form. Everything was perfectly spiced, the curry still gave me tingly lips, but I was not overwhelmed. (My previous order was drunken noodles ordered with a 1out of 5 chili peppers, and I cried real tears, as delicious as it was.) I would order the drunken noodles again, if I could get this curry's level of spice. It was delicious, just more than I could handle. Order was ready when promised. Packaging is perfect.
