The staff is friendly and trustworthy and whenever I check the cameras they are paying close attention to the dogs in the room. I have used My 3 Dogs - Coleman for many years. My daughters stopped sending their Goldens there after an un-reported injury to their pup during a grooming session. I mistakenly continued using their services. During a recent 8 day boarding my Golden developed a serious skin infection that festered. I wasn't contacted during her stay or when she was picked up. A sizable vet bill resulted. I contacted the business, which went without response for over 2 weeks. But M3Ds had the audacity to send me a generic "satisfaction" survey. Were these circumstances a function of too many dogs in their care? Or not enough staffing? Or inattentive or disinterested employees? I don't think it's the latter. But it really doesn't change the result. My pet is too important to me to ever trust her care with My 3 Dogs ever again. If you feel likewise, I'd encourage you to find an alternative. I brought my dog in a few weeks ago for a trial because he had to be boarded. My dog is always excited about everything! When we walked in, he was so nervous. Tail between his legs. I got a tour of the facility, and it smelled like urine. Had to board him, and I checked in on him on day 2. They said he came out of his shell and was doing great. When I picked him up, he was so depressed and he had LOST 7 POUNDS. they told me he wouldn't eat. I was livid because this never came up when I called! Two weeks later and he is finally starting to eat again. Do your research and read the reviews. Several dogs have died under the care of My Three Dogs. Go somewhere else! read more

My dog did not come home the same dog after staying at their boarding facility for 5 days. He is a goldendoodle and was so incredibly matted everywhere on his body, he had to be completely shaved down. His paws were also so matted and painful, that he started licking them raw and needed to be put on antibiotics and special treatments (although the place told me it must have been from anxiety and not the extreme matted hair he developed there). We also picked him up with 3 different bite marks on him. Once on the lip, once on the nose, and one nearly piercing his ear. We were never notified about any of this and when I called to let them know all of this happened, they said he did not get bit in their care. He 100% did get bit there because he had not been around any other dogs except there, and my vet confirmed the bites when we immediately took him there after being boarded and coming home in so much pain. The groomers also confirmed his bites. The facility took zero responsibility for anything. I will not be taking my dog here again and I'd advise to anyone that they have a walkthrough before taking your pets there. read more

After reading the positive reviews here, I have taken my pup in for day care or boarding a few times. She's young but she is right on the cusp of being too big for the small room and too small for the big room, but the staff here handles her very well. It's extremely affordable ($15 for a half day? Yes please!) and I can watch on their webcam to make sure she is happy and cared for. We walk by here on our daily morning walks and every day she pulls me to go down the parking lot, asking if she can go back to visit her friends. She always comes home happy to see me, exhausted from playing, and eager to get back. read more

Booked a reservation for our dogs in August in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday bookings filling up. No issues. Received a confirmation email in September confirming this booking. Brought our new puppy in for a trial to try to get him boarded with our two others in mid/late September. Still all good to go for Thanksgiving. Show up on the Thursday before thanksgiving and the entire boarding facility is closed! No signs, no phone message, no cancellation emails, nothing! Two dogs in the car and a plane flight in a few hours and we were told nothing. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Called another location and was told "Oh yeah they've been closed for weeks for renovations." Thank goodness the other location was able to help us and get our dogs in, but seriously, what the hell. We have been taking our dogs here for years, and have had several smaller issues, but this was ridiculous. - How could you not know in August or September when we were there in person and re-confirmed the reservation that you would be closed? - No phone calls or emails were received about any changes, however I received email confirmation and a phone call about the September puppy visit. I know my info was good. - Even with the closure, there was no visible signs, answering message, etc. We have experienced staff showing up 1-2 hours late before on drop off days - so initially we figured it was this again. They will leave your dog in a crate all day. I checked the webcams sporadically during the day, and didn't see my dog. I called and asked where he was and they said he was in a crate because the dogs are "in rotation". He was crated for 4 hours "in rotation". Don't go unless you want to pay to have your dog left alone in a crate. I was excited to have my dog play with other dogs, but I guess they don't do that here. Upon arrival for our trial visit, the check-in clerks did not voluntarily or thoroughly explain details, even when I asked about pick-up times and how long they should be there to satisfy the trial period. Staff seemed more concerned with "holiday volume" than customer service. I was charged a full day for two pups when they were there for just a half day, because their time was split between two shifts. Had I been told we would be charged for a full day, we would have waited to drop-off later. When I questioned this, I was given a flippant answer, again with lacking customer service. While this facility is relatively clean compared to the other pet daycare providers in town, it's inflexible regarding drop-off and pick-up times and its private room options are very limited. Appeared to be over-crowded with minimal supervision, care and air conditioning. I am very disappointed. read more

I prefer to handle any concerns in person but because I wasn't being taken seriously is the only reason I am sharing them here. On May 3rd I was watching my puppy on the web cam at Hwy 41 when I saw an employee drag my puppy by the collar 5 feet across the floor before lifting him up by the collar forcing him outside. I immediately left to pick him up from M3D. When my husband questioned another employee about this he was informed that the employee was fired because they had received other complaints and a prime customer of theirs also complained. Feeling like the problem had been resolved we started leaving our puppy in their care again. So that I could have confidence about our decision I was watching the Hwy 41 web cam and I couldn't believe I was witnessing the same action again of an employee dragging my puppy by the collar, this time to place him in a crate. Needless to say I immediately picked him up again. I told the location manager why I was picking up my puppy early and that I had thought we were past this. She asked past what? She stated that this was the first she had heard about it. When I showed her the screenshot I had taken from the first event she confirmed that it was the same girl who I saw drag him by the collar today. The employee had never been fired as my husband had been told. The manager spoke to my husband by phone while I was there and he relayed everything to her that he was told earlier all of which the manager said she had not been informed and knew nothing about it. After their phone conversation ended the manager indicated that I had only seen a glimpse of what happened and it probably wasn't as bad as it seemed. No, it wasn't horrific, but I don't drag my puppy around by the collar and I prefer no one else do it either. As our conversation went on I got the impression the manager was discounting my concern. I 100% approve of M3D disciplining my puppy and would expect nothing less. However, I do not see how dragging a puppy by the collar can qualify as discipline. I will commend the regional manager for calling me later that afternoon to address my concerns. She agreed that was not the way to handle a puppy. I thanked her for following up and asked if she would let me know how she handled the situation with the employee and to let me know who misinformed my husband that the employee had been fired. She also offered a free day at one of the other locations. I replied that I would have to check out the other web cams and I would consider it. As I checked them out I realized with great sadness that the Hwy 41 location was my favorite because it had the best outdoor environment and inside there were plenty of beds for the dogs. Additionally the other employees at this location interacted with the dogs, threw the ball for them occasionally and petted them unlike the other locations. I am so disappointed that one employee who lacked love and passion for dogs will prevent me from leaving my puppy there again. I came to this conclusion the week of July 20thwhen I noticed on the web cam the employee who mishandled my puppy was back and I had not received an update from the regional manager. My dog slept on a pillow that was damp with piss and had s*** stains for multiple nights and was thrown into a crate. I dropped him off on a Thursday and picked him up on a Wednesday. I was told when I called to check about how he was doing that he was being aggressive with another dog, I thought it was odd given that he enjoys playing as most big dogs play and he has no history of aggression. I consistently checked the webcams and did not see my dog playing during most of the times I checked them, instead he was likely in a crate for most of his time. When I did see him outside of the crate and playing with other dogs he was playing as he normally plays with dogs at home or at the park. I watched him during the interactions he had and he was not being aggressive but was playing as many big dogs play. The day I picked him up I saw him playing on the webcams before I left and watched a staff member go to pick him up and he instantly freaked out and ran away, in a way I haven't seen him do before, then the staff member then went to get him, picked him up and I watched him throw my dog into a crate. When I was picking him up I asked to speak with the person who threw my dog to ask why he did that instead the manager a short girl named Aaliyah told me "no actually you'll be speaking with me" she was very rude and firm and absolutely not interested in speaking about what happened. I tried to speak with her about what happened with my dog and why they had been so rough with their handling of him, I also tried to understand what kind of aggressive behavior he showed given his lack of a history of aggression. She claimed my dog had been a problem from the start, I understand that sometimes dogs misbehave but my dog did great on his interview day and is rarely misbehaved. As I was asking about this they brought out his food, toy, and pillow. His pillow and toy both were visibly damp and instantly I could tell there was something wrong with them I went to smell them and instantly could tell that there was urine and poop on them both. They were clearly both wet with piss and the pillow had poop stains. When I asked the manager if this was normal for them to not clean the inside of the dog's crate they responded to me "no we clean the crate, what were we supposed to do with that put it in the wash?" as she was finishing saying this she informed me that my total would be just under $200. I attempted to speak with her and try to get some kind of a discount or at least understand why they had treated my dog like this, given that my dog had clearly been sleeping on a pillow covered in piss, which was definitely clean when I brought it in, and his favorite toy, which was also soaked with piss, both of which had to be thrown away, and the fact that staff members clearly were just mistreating my dog and I'm not kidding when I say I watched the staff member pick him up and throw him from about three feet in the air into the crate in the playroom. She informed me that there was no way that I could be receiving a discount at this point I told her I no longer felt comfortable paying for the services without speaking to someone given the way my dog had been treated. I attempted to speak with her further and asked to speak with somebody else who was in charge and she told me I was "welcome to never come back here" since my dog was the problem in all of this, when I again asked to speak with somebody else she told me the regional manager would be definitely contact me. After saying this she yelled at me that I had to leave as I calmly attempted to just have a conversation with her. After waiting about 8 hours I called another location and got the number for the regional manager who had not yet been in touch with me, I doubt Aaliyah actually was planning on having anyone else contact me. I left the regional manager a message and she called me back almost immediately and was very nice about the entire thing and after explaining to her everything that happened with my dog and showing her the images and videos of my property that the bill was considered taken care of. The regional manager Kerri was very understanding about what happened and stated that the owner would be spoken to about the location's staff. The business is not all in all bad. However, if you have a bigger dog who enjoys playing as most big dogs play maybe find a different location and definitely don't bring personal items from home that your dog might enjoy sleeping or playing with unless you're okay with throwing them away when you go to pick your dog up. The one-star review is for the treatment of my dog while staying at the location, for the manager who when I tried to speak with her about the way they had handled my dog, the fact that I had to throw away a pillow and my dog's favorite toy, and the fact that I had the opportunity to watch my dog be thrown like a sack of potatoes into a crate. read more

I've been bringing my Miniature Schnauzer in for grooming at My Three Dogs monthly for a long while and I'm continually pleased. He's a shy little boy, so I'm thrilled with the fact he always comes home cheery and comfortable-- no exhausted/anxious panting, no itchiness, no soft poop, nothing. We're always greeted by name by the staff, and my dog's comfort is always a priority for them, based on decisions we've had to make about how much to groom, when to schedule, etc. Great people. read more

We take our beloved golden doodle everywhere...he is truly our son. We unexpectedly found ourselves needing to take him to a groomer after he had some fun in the ocean. We met the owner and she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable . They did a fantastic job bathing him. Since we were visiting the local area, we were a bit apprehensive of taking him to an unfamiliar place. The staff took the time to bond with him and he warmed up to them quickly. My favorite aspect of this doggy day care was the camera that allowed us to check in and watch him...that was great! Dropped my dog off for a long weekend (Thursday - Sunday). Got a call on Sunday at 3:00 pm telling me my dog had been in an accident and was bleeding from her ear but in their opinion it didn't require a emergency vet visit. I arrived at the earliest pick up time possible on Sunday, 5:00, to find my dogs ear still bleeding. No bandage, no ointment, no offer to comp the visit or a bath, just an unclear excuse of "she was trying to get under the fence and a dog stepped on her" and an "oh well accidents happen" attitude. Management didn't try to contact me to apologize or check in afterwards. Very disappointing considering that was our 3rd multiple night stay and have spent what I would consider a lot of money with them. Never going back. read more

I love this place and I'm absolutely shocked by the negative reviews. I work at a veterinary hospital in the area. When it came time to decide on a doggy daycare for my own beloved dog, I started asking opinions from clients to our hospital. Many of them recommended this facility. I see why! I tried a couple other facilities in the area and was nowhere near as pleased. I visited the location on Highway 41 for little dogs, but don't be fooled by the name, there is space for medium-size dogs as well! The staff was friendly and accommodating. I love the open atmosphere: there is great visibility from every room for the staff. They were very understanding that my dog has a couple quirks and they went out of their way to make sure that those were well communicated with the whole staff. Checking the WebCams throughout the day, I saw the water being changed and the indoor room being cleaned. The employee in the room with the dogs gave individual attention to all the dogs, and several times I saw her with my dog on her lap. It sounds like in some of the reviews clients are concerned that their dog didn't get an individual break time. Based on my experience, I could be sure that if I felt like I wanted my dog to have a break time, as long as I communicated that to the staff they would be happy to accommodate! I tried a couple other facilities in the area, and hate that this wasn't the first one I tried! At other facilities my dog left anxious and worked up but at My Three Dogs he left relaxed and happy! They are priced competitively, and sent my dog home with a welcome bag! DO NOT trust the negative reviews!! Again, I work at a veterinary hospital in the area and our clients love my three dogs. *UPDATE* I reached out to the corporate feedback submission and their contact reviewed the issue and provided me with a refund. --- I could not tell the difference between dropping my dog m off and picking her up besides that she was fluffy from the blow dryer. I booked the full service which is quote on their site "PREMIUM: All basic and maintenance items, plus full body haircut. Includes choice of bow or bandana." This is what my dog came back with: 1) Maybe just around her eyes were trimmed. Overall it does not look like any of her fur was even touched! 2) She was spayed a couple weeks before and had a couple minor small mats around her ears due to the cone. I pointed them out to the groomer. The mats were still there when I picked her up so I had to brush them out myself. 3) Her butt was not groomed. She even had poop stuck to it the following weekend. 4) Her nails were not trimmed as requested. They looked long and I could even tell they were not slightly sharp as nails normally are right after being trimmed. I called to give the company a chance to make it right and they have not. read more

If I were you, I would look else where before sending your pup here. I recently boarded our 2 dogs (for their first ever boarding @ this facility) and couldn't be more displeased with the service. Many, many things went poorly. To start with, after both dogs did their mandatory "trial" the staff was not friendly nor did they have "a report" to give on how our dogs did. This already made me feel uneasy about boarding them there. However, since it was the weekend before a holiday we were in a crunch and needed to board them. Our dogs were there for a Friday-Monday. After not seeing our dogs on the doggy cameras - as concerned parents we called and were told the dogs "were on the ramp" and no cameras in that area. After the first night stay, I called and left a voice message and asked how the dogs did and never received a phone call back (understanding - I'm sure they get a lot of calls/VM). Most of the weekend it was rainy here in Charleston so they weren't outside so only the little dog camera was on and we did not see either of our dogs in that area for 48 hours, again made us feel uneasy. Upon pick up, I was "priced" at one quote and the price at checkout was $50+ higher than what I was quoted at. Luckily, once I brought this up, staff adjusted the price. Also upon checking out we were told "we washed your dog bed and it exploded." I was not told why it was washed, which night it was washed, nor was I called about this issue-so I am still unsure of how many nights my pup didn't have a be :( Also, bed was never replaced or offered to be paid for. Upon arrival the INCORRECT dog was delivered to us. Luckily, they went to the back and got the correct dog but our hearts sunk for a second. The scooper was missing from our dog food container - no explanation about that or replacement and worst part was our dogs were DISGUISTING. They were extremely dirty, muddy and smelled terrible!! I live less than 5 minutes away from M3D and had to get my car detailed the next day to get the smell out and the dogs required 2 baths each to get the smell out. read more

I cannot say enough magnificent things about My Three Dogs. They were my saving grace when I had to come to Charleston from Myrtle Beach for surgery. From my very first phone call with Taylor, she made me feel extremely comfortable when I needed a doggie daycare for a few days for my 6 month old pup, Blaze and was so so helpful and patient listening to my needs. Then when we arrived Selena (sorry if I spelled that wrong) welcomed us all with open arms. She gave us a tour, answered any questions we had and was so wonderful with Blaze. I cannot thank everyone here enough for providing such amazing service and being so kind, caring and helpful. By day 2 of bringing Blaze for daycare, he got so excited when we pulled into the parking lot and couldn't wait to get inside and play with all of his new friends. My dog came home extremely sick. He had a hacking cough, a dripping nose, a fever and was trembling and excessively lethargic. I can only hope this sickness came on quickly and he wasn't this miserable all week while I was away. I took him immediately to the vet. A $150+ vet bill and 14 days of antibiotics later, this was officially the most expensive stay at doggy daycare. I used to love bringing my pup to My Three Dogs and I'm disappointed to say I cannot justify bringing him back. I sent this review to corporate hoping they'd try to make it right. We recently stayed in Mt Pleasant at a pet-friendly hotel, but the hotel doesn't allow pets to remain in the room without the owner present (or face a large fine if he/she disturbs nearby residents). My wife and I wanted to go out for a nice dinner in Charleston, but dog-friendly restaurants typically mean eating outside...and it's July...in Charleston. My three dogs was nearby, and the above average reviews as well as the price seemed worth a shot. For a half day of doggie daycare it was $15 (7:00AM-1:00PM or 1:00PM to 7:00PM). Can't beat that! Most other places closed by 5:30 or 6:00, which wasn't convenient for dinner plans. When we entered, the front office definitely wasn't winning any home decor awards. The staff was friendly, and the paperwork simple enough. Our 10 month old puppy is a social dog, well trained for his age, etc. He didn't seem to keen on entering (although he usually isn't keen on entering the vet either), and the dogs we could see in a nearby room were sleeping on the concrete floor with some fans blowing. It didn't seem like they had working A/C, which surprised us since Charleston gets so hot in the afternoon and evening. When we picked him up 2-3 hours later, he seemed fine, but definitely ready to go. He drank an entire bowl of water, so I don't know if he had been given anything while he was there. Overall impression: A convenient place that was price-friendly for a few hours, and very friendly staff, but I wasn't impressed enough based on my limited exposure to comfortably leave my dog here for a longer amount of time. read more
