I was able to make an appointment that fit my schedule about 3 weeks out. New patient paperwork was available online to streamline my check in. I saw Dr. Bartholomew. She was very friendly & thorough. When she found something that was just a little off, she was very reassuring that it was probably nothing but did encourage me to make an appointment with a specialist (and her office offered to make the appointment on my behalf). They have the latest equipment available and use it well. I choose to have the standard dilation instead of the retinal mapping (wasn't covered by my vision plan), but it's definitely a great option to avoid being in sunglasses for hours :) Very, very impressed! I'm glad that my luck of the draw worked out so well.

I wasn't satisfied with the optometrist I'd been going to so I searched my insurance providers list of specialists and found Dr. Fedoriw. On my first appointment, he found some depth perception issues that no one else found and I've had appointments every 6 months for well over a decade. I have a pretty strong prescription and used to suffer from frequent migraines (1-2 per week). Dr. Fedoriw performed tests I'd never had before and found the cause when no one else could. That thoroughness is not without a cost though. When you go, prepare to be there for a while. He's an older gentlemen and he's a slow mover...but he's the best optometrist I've ever had.

I was able to graduate with honors and receive a great job offer in Northern Virginia.
