Seriously don't take your car here. It should be called "Their way". They take any insurance, BUT I actually they're not part of most insurance networks. THE CON is they tow your car there, inspect/evaluate repair (which is double in time/cost) and if you want to remove your car to go to another repair shop, they gouge you with huge fees (5x standard rates) in order to get repairs covered at the next autobody shop. Don't believe what they tell you as they don't tell you the truth. They "strong arm" the customer and insurance to do it only their way which in turn they charge/take a lot more time and cost than is needed. Also, the owner is in charge of some type of organization in The Autobody industry to allow overcharging through legal loopholes. read more

I am not easy to please when it comes to bodywork on cars, but I must say My Way's repair to my daughter's JCW Mini turned out very well. T.J. and the entire staff were communicative throughout the entire process, and while nearly two months to completion were hardly "expedient," none of the delays were candidly the shop's fault. Several hard-to-source/backordered parts issues were handled creatively and most importantly, with clear expectations of when to expect a resolution. Car was returned nicely cleaned up and detailed. So my car was impounded and I went into a rehab. There was just a small amount of damage to the headlight but since I was living out of my car, it had all my clothes, jewelry, brand new computer and my life in it. I never got a follow-up call telling me that my car was going to be junked. I did pay impound fees up to a point and I know they had my contact information. Don't you think a smart business person would have made a call to the owner as a last ditch effort to either collect or at least let that person retrieve all they had left? After my car was towed by the city of Stamford, i had to pay for towing charges and ticket fees. No signs were posted on what the towing charges were. After inquiring about the bill; I was told by the front office ppl that my total bill was $250 ($200 in towing and $50 city of Stamford ticket fee). When I inquired about the $50 fees, I was simply told that the additional $50 fee was for the city of Stamford. Two months later I get a mail from the city for $240 as my ticket was never paid. Upon calling back, these guys completely put their hands up and said u gotta call the city. Ridiculous - terrible customer service with no transparency on charges and lack on explanation on inquiry! I cannot talk about any other service they provide but they definitely seem shady! Would not recommend these guys for sure! read more

This place is a complete rip-off when it comes to towing. I'm actually in a process of filing a complaint to DMV. I normally don't write a review for a business other than restaurants, but this place should not be in towing business. My car got towed from my townhouse in the middle of Saturday night by a jerk who has the power to call for a tow guy because he got freaked out by 3-4inches of snow in our parking lot. On Sunday, I wanted to pick up my car. The business sign says 24/7. So I called to arrange a pick up. 2 different persons answered my phone calls as if the business is open. Turns out...if I want to get my car on Sunday, I had to pay $50 for a guy to release my car! That is insane. My total bill was $223.33 for less than 2 miles tow from my house. They charged a maximum amount that DMV allows even though the tow was less than 2 miles. I can't imagine if you need your car tow from 15miles away! They will add on all kinds of fee that would just make you want to get a lawyer. I am furious with this kind of rip off. So please be ware. If you need a tow truck, stay away from this business. SCAM! my car was towed from my apartment building while I was out of town, when I called them to pick it up their henchmen told me the payment had to be CASH ONLY. When I arrived I told him I had to cash and that I had to pay credit card. After he got angry with me and we had a loud back-and-forth he made a fake phone call to hiss boss (he didn't realize that his home screen was on his iphone as he was faking the dialog) and he said its OK for me to pay with a card $350.00. Scam estimates, bait and switch - be very careful. We got an estimate for a small paint job ($40 charge for the estimate). They gave us the estimate plus an additional estimate for more work "to make it better," which was 2.5x higher. We scheduled the appointment for our original plan - and made arrangements to drop it off and to be without the car for 4 days. When we brought it in, we were told they would only do the work for the higher amount and that the estimate was "just to tell you how much it would cost to have it done...not that we would do it." No matter they knew what we wanted when we made the appointment. The shop manager was "unavailable" and I could not get a refund on my $40. Perhaps it's better not to have had the work done - who knows what additional amounts would have been added on. But if you don't want my business, don't waste my time. This place customer service is extremely bad. This individual name Justin curse me out. Because he got frustrated I kept calling trying to figure when I could go and pick up my car that got tow. I been calling since 10:00pm Saturday. The call center told me they will send him the message and that he will call back. I stay up and kept calling every hour. Because I needed my kid asthma medicine and car seat. I finally get in touch with him at 1:00am. He was very short and told me to call at 8:00am Sunday So I did. Again the call center kept telling me he will call me back. I kept calling every hour since 8:00am. Finally at 11:00am I get in touch with him. Only to hear he will call me back in an hour. Now at this point I inform him I been calling since Saturday 10:00pm that I needed my car or at least my kids stuff or tell me was going on. He went off at me curse me out . Started calling me a bitch and a cunt and to fuck off. And that now I could wait to Monday and pay all the weekend fees!! I'm speechless I never had this kind of treatment in my life and specially from a business. And if I could only pick up the car during business hours. One word to describe My Way Auto Body is AMAZING!! I had a lease that was unfortunately side swiped 3 days before I went to return it. I mean the drivers side back bumper and tail light were just wrecked! My dad recommended the shop because he had work done to his vehicle previously and he was very happy with the job they did. As for my opinion the car looked better when I picked it up from the shop than it did when I drove it off the dealership lot. I purchased my car at Stamford ford. I asked if they knew where I can get strobes installed on my vehicle in Stamford as I figured why not get it all set up since the get go. Well they told me they did, and the quote originally over 2k, I said OK, lets do this. When it was time to pay, they dropped it almost 1k, not by my request in all fairness to me, but I think they knew something crappy was done! Since I got my car, headlight, moisture due to poor installation, tailight moisture due to poor installation. and even one of the strobes has moisture due to crappy equipment. I didn't ask for a bargain, I didn't haggle a price, I wanted strobes like I have in my other vehicles and don't have one bit of a problem. This time, not the case and this place is to blame. I was told by the dealer that this place does all the Stamford Police Cars. I would hate to see how they are doing and if they're fine why would not they treat my vehicle the same way....I cant comment on any other services they provide but this one, MALO, BAD, HORRIBLE! read more

I went here to price out the repair to my car door. I was asked repeatedly whether I was paying for it or whether insurance was paying for it, and was asked again when I called to clarify the $500+ unexplained charge on the estimate. They couldn't explain why the estimate was nearly $1K over the estimate of a place in Darien, and instead asked why I cared since I'd only be paying my deductible and the insurer would pay for the rest. I'm not exactly a fan of my insurance company but at the same time I'm also not a fan of doing business with a place that seems to unapologetically inflate their prices to get more out of insurance companies. I have used the Greenwich one about 25times over the past 30 years, and they are the best people I have ever worked with in any automobile related service business aywhere in the whole World. Their work is perfect, their prices are extremely reasonable, and the two top Greenwich guys (Tommy And Miguel) are honest and professional and deliver on time and at the cost promised. In the last few years, I have just dropped my car off without even requesting an estimate, because these guys are so honest and their work so good that an estimate would be a waste of time. Recently a friend of mine had his high end 2013 car rims replaced with new tires and rims after they were stolen. My Way put on the wrong rims and tyres causing the driver to have two blowouts and almost lose control of the car. My way admitted their mistake and then replaced the tires and rims with 4 NEW. One week later the tires were flat and so we took the car to the dealership. Upon inspection the dealership wrote My Way and told them that it was again the wrong tires, rims and lugnuts.
