They will quote you over the phone but won't email you a complete quote. She gave me a verbal quote of $200 base price for the gutters and up to $100 if the gutter guards need to be removed. I said great, please email that to me. She said she couldn't. I said cancel the job if you can't provide a formal quote. Even if there are variables or extras you can include that in the quote. It's not rocket science. I do it in my business all the time. I told her to cancel the job. We ended the call. She then called me back stating she could have someone come out today. I told her I canceled the job and she said hear me out! I said no and if anybody from her company comes on our property I'll be calling the cops. She told me to F off. What a true professional. Lol. We used this company for cleaning the outside of our windows. They were prompt and thorough. After doing such a great job on the exterior, I now wish I had asked to have the interior ones done as well. So, I recommend doing both when you get your windows cleaned. I give only 3 stars not because of the window washing itself, I give it for not informing me of all the hidden cost's before they got here. I called the company and asked for price to have my windows washed, just the outside. I told her it is about 45 - 50 windows, she advised me it would either be $160 - $190, depends on the number of windows, but they would give me an estimate once they get to our house. I had another estimate from a well known company and they quoted me about $60 more, including material/ins fee and if paid with credit card (which I would not in that case ( almost $10 extra). So I went with My Window washing. When Alex came, a very nice and polite young man, he quoted me $323, like double the amount! It included different fee's, the highest one a long ladder fee $60.00. If that's what they do, fine, but when I called she should of asked me more questions, how high are the windows or how many stories is the house etc and give me all the fee's. I had the windows done, Alex was all by himself which I thought was careless because we do have windows 3 stories high and for safety reasons, I think they should have another person with him. Alex was not done until it was dark already, but he was very nice, took all the screens out so he could wash the window from outside, etc. So no complains about him but the personal in office, they should be more up front about additional cost added which made it double the price, seems kind of shady to me. They did a good job on our outside windows. Trying to schedule through the website was confusing, but it was easy to call and schedule. We had removed screens prior to their arrival and the screens were cleaned and then it back in place. Their website shows that they charge per window, which was helpful to know. They canceled (not rescheduled) our gutter cleaning appointment at the last minute due to weather - stating it was too cold to clean the gutters. A few days later, I suddenly hear someone walking on our roof. Apparently, even though they CANCELED our appointment, they decided to just come out and perform the service anyway without notifying us, and the guy didn't even ring our doorbell before climbing up on our roof and getting to work. Not only did we now have to cancel our appointment with another company that was scheduled to come out the next day, but then these people also send us an invoice for a higher amount than the price posted on their website. I am very pleased with the window washing job performed by this company at my home! I made the appointment a couple of weeks in advance. The day before the appointment, it was clear that it was going to rain during the cleaning. I called to change the date and that was no problem. We rescheduled to two days after the original appointment. The two men arrived at the time I was told to expect them. They cleaned 34 windows - inside and out - as well as 20 screens in approximately one hour! Although they worked very quickly, the job was quite thorough. They even cleaned the windowsills, which are exposed to the outdoors. Our home is a ranch house, which may have been a factor in the cleaning time. DO NOT HIRE this company!! I should have read the reviews on here before I did and I would have certainly cancelled my appt. When I called and spoke to Vicky she gave me the website to look at pricing. We estimated it would be approximately $500 for my 48 double hung windows. The time of arrival was between 12-2pm. At 2:30 my husband called and they said it would be 4pm. Ok fine. The 2 men arrived after 4pm, wrote up a quote and said it would be $843 . Umm No not even close!!!! I said absolutely not politely and closed the door. I typically pay between $325-$350 for the past 14 years. 10 minutes later they rang the doorbell and gave me a quote of $470. Fine. They were here just get it done. They asked me to unlock the upstairs windows and when I got upstairs they already had them off. I assumed they were already unlocked. I know nothing about windows. That's why I hire a company to clean them, I assumed they knew what they were doing. A short time later my husband came home and discovered none of the windows were unlocked and they were prying them open with a knife and had put holes in 3 of the screens. We had these screens replaced 2 years ago-they were essentially new. The workers tried to say they were old to justify putting large holes in them. At this point we asked them to leave. They had only cleaned 3 windows and damaged 3 screens. To their credit they fixed 2 of the 3 screens after my husband made a phone call to their company because they refused to leave. Here are the reasons I would urge you to stay away from this business: 1. Dishonest business practices, the budgetary quote I received was nowhere near the price they gave me onsite 2. Dishonest business practices, suddenly the price went down to half of what I was originally quoted 3. Showing up late 4. Lazy workers who do not do the entire job, you don't ask the homeowner to do your job 5. They were terrible! Pricing on site doesn't reflect actual pricing. I asked that they call me half an hr before they got there to make sure I was home as I was running errands in the neighborhood. When I got home, tech was on my roof cleaning sky lights which I never asked him to do and they didn't even clean on the inside. He told me it would be $260 to clean windows, which I thought was high. I did ask him if that included screens and the sills, which my normal guy does, and he said yes. So I agreed because I needed them done. He proceeded to go ahead with job, I has also asked him to make sure all windows were closed and locked when he finished with them and they were not. They use a big squeegee inside and out, kind of slop it on and squeegee it off. There's no wiping/polishing involved. So if there's a spec of stuck on dirt it will still be there. I have mostly up and down windows (sash?) with a few that crank out with retractable screens. I wish I could post pictures here. The screens and sills were filthy and the tech told me they don't clean them on crank windows. That would be an additional charge. Come on !?! When he was leaving, after I had paid, I went out to nicely convey my complaints, and he just kind of shrugged in a take or leave it attitude. When I called the company to explain the situation they told me they would send someone out the following Saturday. The owner came out. I pointed out the dirt spots that were still on my picture window and he said that would require "scraping" and would be an additional charge. I got them off with windex and a paper towel. When I showed him retractable screens and sills in crank windows again the shrug, must be employee training. At that point I just asked him to leave. He was coming out under the premise to correct job and satisfy me, the customer. Which he failed miserably at. Come to the door and remind you that they will be on your roof. Make sure you have an exterior hose at the ready as it is important piece for them to do their job. Price is reasonable and fair. He had all the needed equipment, removed and cleaned the screens, washed the windows--and thoroughly cleaned the windowsills, which had probably never been cleaned before. Gutter cleaning was never something I planned on hiring someone else to do, but after our home inspector's horror stories about too many owners getting injured doing it themselves I was happy to let the pros take charge. Seemed rather pricey for the brief time the worker was at our house, but he was efficient and professional, and I could tell he was thorough based on the many toys and balls he unearthed all around the perimeter :) I also appreciated that, even during what I imagine is a busy season for them, the person I initially spoke to on the phone offered to come out the next day.
