I hired MyClean for a deep clean today. I was skeptical but needed outside help to clean and so went for it. Let's just say the experience was as disappointing as I was worried it would be. The person who came was lovely and did some cleaning, but overall, what the person who comes is expected to do is subpar and qualifies as light cleaning at best. We had paid for a deep clean for the extra time it takes to really clean, but it soon became clear that I would simply be paying double for no more cleaning than the basic clean. So I changed it to standard plus. I had to leave for an appointment and when we got back, it wasn't clear whether or not the floors had been swept, certainly not vacuumed, and if they were mopped, it was the most cursory mop at best. A waste of money and a huge disappointment. Use at your own risk. (Meanwhile, I still tipped the person $30 because my aim is not to exploit her and I know she put in the time.) I was charged a cancellation fee and my apartment was not cleaned because it was not "up to standard" as the cleaner saw pet feces. The cleaner did not follow the instructions and left the trash piled high in our trash room. It spilled everywhere and caused damage. MyClean is sketchy and shady in many ways. For example: - they cancel the appointment the afternoon before your cleaning appointment (like 2:10pm) and give you only until 3pm to respond. otherwise, they will send you an unvetted cleaner, or you are charged cancellation fee. (that's a crazy small window to respond and good luck if you have a real job) - many of their cleaners don't speak English - they treat their cleaners really badly (pay minimum wage while charging expensive fees to customers) - customer service talks like a bot, and is not interested in making things work I was their customer for 4+ years, and after recent experiences, we cancelled subscription. read more

We made an appointment with MyClean for a 3 hour apartment cleaning. What we were left with when we got back home was inappropriate and unacceptable. Absolutely nothing was done or cleaned whatsoever - in fact, our place actually looked worse. She didn't even attempt to wipe a single thing down or vacuum. Instead, she left our place dirtier than before we left and left behind tons of long black hair all over our apartment (yes, even all over our kitchen countertop). We haven't found a single thing in our 600 sq ft that even looked like it was touched or cleaned in any way except for the 20+ long black hairs. So disappointed and disgusted. I got a move in deep clean for an old 2 bedroom and MyClean only half delivered. This apartment was nastyyy - spiders everywhere, grease everywhere in the kitchen, dust, and stains all over the apartment. They booked a 6 hour session but with only one cleaner. I was immediately doubtful that she'd be able to tackle it all by herself. She arrived early so I was hopeful that this would be a great experience. But immediately I had to go out and buy cleaning supplies for her because she forgot somethings. She ended up doing a great job on the bathroom floor and really got all the dirt and stains out of the grout. But that was probably the most impactful thing she did because she had to spend most of her time there. She kept asking what else she needed to clean even after the initial walk through which seemed odd. I expected a professional to have a mental checklist just from experience. And apparently they don't dust the tops of door/window frames. So much for "deep" cleaning. That's literally where all the spiders are living. In the end the results were subpar, as I went around doing some extra cleaning I found hidden stains and details that the cleaner missed. One was the top and bottom of the microwave. I added some pictures of the bottom since I already wiped down the top of the microwave door. There were also still small stains in the bathroom and the inside of the cabinets were not cleaned at all. For a deep clean that's shocking. Having a clean place to put your dishes seem like a standard necessity. The cleaner also didn't manage to get the sticky grease off the cabinet doors and handles. She must not have had the right supplies to cut through the grease. Also disappointing. It felt like most of the things I really needed done weren't done well. I was sympathetic to her, she worked really hard so I gave her a pretty good tip. But I completely fault MyClean for sending only 1 cleaner. I'm writing this review because I'm so frustrated that I just spent over $400 and still killing myself cleaning right now. Oh and also I was told beforehand that the cleaner would be using a UV light to kill any bacteria/viruses in the apartment. She wasn't even given the equipment to do so by the company. There were many areas the clean never touched with sweeping or dusting. But the worse part was the company's response. I live in a small studio apartment -- a deep clean isn't a particularly intense task -- and many surfaces were skipped, as were whole swaths of my floor. Additionally, my duvet cover was torn because the cleaner for some reason stretched it out as a mattress cover. Trying to get a refund proved to be an impossible task. Beware of this service. Do not use. They do not take responsibility for damage done & you end up incurring costs to repair yourself. They claim to use eco cleaning supplies, but that is a lie. It is an agency and while most agencies have insurance to cover damage to clients. We reached out following our move our clean immediately (within the next day) that the cleaning person had not only used a substance that stripped the chrome finish on the range unit but they had tried to use something that scratched the surface even more. I offered suggestions how to remediate the issue such as purchasing the new panel...but stress the importance of remediating the damage created during the cleaning. They gave me the run around for the past week asking me to fill out a form then another form when today they replied: Thank you for your patience while we looked into this. We spoke with the cleaner regarding this claim and we do not believe the cleaner would have caused this. Our cleaners are equipped with a standard cleaning kit that includes: a duster, dust pan, flat mop Swiffer, microfiber towels, magic erasers, sponges, all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, disinfectant, and glass cleaner. I am a broker in newyork and ordered on their platform what I thought would be a full clean given the 11 x 13'6" size studio with a tiny kitchenette.. I mean tiny.. two burner cook top, half refrigerator one sink and 6 inches of counter space.. it's more like a step up in the closet.. I mean tiny. I live in the building and there is no one in the apartment so I gave them my apartment to ring up so I can assure they are let into the unit. I just visited and the toilet wasn't cleaned because she didn't have a brush, so I gave her one from my apartment and the refrigerator which is a half refrigerator was filthy. I've been a customer for several months now and I have been repeatedly canceled on with very little notice, and have received subpar cleanings. If you want to report an issue, they make you fill out endless forms and give bureaucratic, unapologetic responses. I made a cleaning appointment several days ago for November 8th (tomorrow), and was only informed today at 1:00pm that my cleaner wasn't available, and that unless I canceled or rescheduled by 3:00pm, they would send a different (unvetted) cleaner even if you have not agreed to this. After 3:00pm, you're charged a $50 fee to cancel. This is an absurdly small window of time, and this has occurred several times now. As for the quality of the cleaning, you get drastically different results depending on which cleaner you have, and the glorified checklist they tout is rarely followed. Steps are skipped or completed inadequately. I will be looking for a different cleaning service and would not recommend MyClean to anyone. read more

Absolutely AVOID. They'll charge prices consistent with the market, but time after time will clean at below market quality. I used the service for about a year and had cleaners: do the bare minimum, constantly miss obvious spots, leave their own hair everywhere, arrive very late (sometimes 90 mins past the appointment time), and arrive with no cleaning supplies of their own (even though the website claims they'll bring all of their own supplies). On one occasion MyClean sent a cleaner reeking so badly of marijuana or smoke that I had to open all of the windows of my apartment. On another occasion the cleaner stole an iPhone charger and Grey Goose Vodka from me. When I followed up with MyClean about both incidents they were extremely dismissive about everything. Sooo I've had a cleaning service at the apartment I'm staying at now only one other time - right after I had my baby and couldn't be bothered to clean. That experience was awful and I haven't used a service since then because 1) I do a good job deep cleaning on my own 2) trauma from the last company. Myclean offers 3 different types of clean l. I got the second tier; just shy of a deep clean. They have add-on options to customize your clean - which is great. I didn't request any refrigerator or oven cleaning bc that wasn't necessary. I simply didn't want it to look like the toy chest, closets, kitchen and bathroom toiletries got caught in a blizzard inside the apartment. I wanted things to be moved and cleaned, not cleaned AROUND the items. The housekeeper who came was nice. I gave her instruction on what to do before I had to leave for work. I was looking forward to coming home to a super clean apartment with everything put away or in its place. I left a backpack on the ground hanging outside of the closet and when I got home the backpack was in the exact same place so I know it was cleaned around - nor lifted, placed somewhere appropriate to then clean the floor underneath. I then noticed this was the case in many other spots around the house. Is it totally unreasonable or does it cost extra to clean the whole floor? Like actually move things and clean under them? Is it normal for a cleaning service to leave things under the couch and table? Leave all stuff where it is instead of putting it away neatly? Disappointing that there's so many different ideas of what CLEAN is. I want to love MyClean. I really do. How convenient would it be to schedule a regular cleaning appointment through their easy-to-use website. For this reason, I tried it a few years ago, and I tried it again a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the recent clean was again not up to par, fulfilling neither the Standard clean nor the Standard Plus that I had ordered (extra $$). Attached are a few photos of areas around my apartment that remained dusty and dirty, even after specifically requesting that the cleaner focus on the floors and baseboards (which I had paid extra for). I contacted MyClean, disappointed with their service, and the best they could offer was sending a new cleaner to come back and finish the job...but at that point, I had already cleaned these areas myself. A few weeks ago I got a deep clean of my studio apartment and the woman got in a did the deepest clean. She scrubbed and polished everything in sight for 4 hours. There was still more work to do, but I figured I would repeat the process a few weeks later and catch the missed things. 4 hours was worth it! Just last week, my parents were visiting from outta town, so I booked in another deep clean and a different lady showed up from this same company. She was 20 mins early, so I had to race out of the shower to meet her, my hair dripping water everywhere. She spent 1 hour and 15 minutes doing very little on my apartment. Afterwards, she and I spoke and she acknowledged right there and then that her clean wasn't deep at all. She said she would speak to the company on my behalf and I agreed to ask for a refund of some sort. This entire week, I've been cleaning my apartment to make up for her terribly half-assed work. I spoke to MyClean as soon as she left and they wouldn't acknowledge what had happened. They asked for photos of the apartment, but it's really hard to show the difference between a light clean and a deep clean on a photo. I took maybe 10 shots, but in real life it's clear that the cleaner was being SUPER lazy. On the photo, it doesn't reflect that situation. I'm not one to leave reviews, and being in the sales industry, I know the weight of a bad review on a company. This experience is still bugging me and it's been a week and a half. What MyClean promises the customer and what they expect of their staff is completely unrealistic. Impressed by their 50 point checklist I tried Deep Clean. They sent one person for seven hours for a four-bedroom for apartment, which included cleaning out all appliances and cabinets. The cleaner was kind and worked fast but there was no way to get to all of it in the amount of time they had. I let MyClean know out of courtesy (I did not asked for a reclean, I just replied to their feedback request) but they dismissed me since I had passed the 48 hour "guarantee". The cleaner was so nice that I tried the Super Clean next. Again, they sent one person for even fewer hours. This cleaner also worked hard but there was no way to get to everything. I don't have time to keep asking for re-cleans rather than MyClean providing the number of cleaners and hours to do what they promise properly, especially considering what they charge. Not only am I disappointed in the clean but what a poor business model to put your staff in the middle of it and ask them to do the impossible, which clients are only going to be frustrated by. I had multiple cleaners come across several visits and every time obvious spots weren't cleaned, cleaning methods weren't used (such as surfaces before floors), late arrival and leaving early and the cleaners used my cleaning supply such as sprays, dusters, swiffer wipes etc (which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't advertised as being included in the $200 1 bedroom price). Every cleaner during my subscription did this. Nevertheless I always tidied my apartment before the clean and I tipped well. I always offer a variety of beverages and often snacks. I wasn't too happy with the service but it was acceptable and my job has been really busy so I kept the subscription. One day a cleaner ran out of the apartment after 15 min saying I would get a call. To my surprise on the phone I was informed that the cleaner had reported bed bugs which we do not have. We live on the ground floor of a historic building so sometimes we'll have a beetle (confirmed by pest control) but that's it. No one else ever made the confusion. That got us black listed. There are so many other cleaning services out there so it'll be easy to find something else but I think 1. This could have been handled better and 2. Today I had a cleaning appointment and by far was the worst cleaner I've ever ever ever had in my entire life. I specifically asked before scheduling to send someone extremely good (given my previous bad experiences with bad cleaners and a cleaner that broke a limited edition crystal item). Instead, MyClean scouted their list and the tristate area and found the biggest moron to send my way. Everything is dirty, she broke s#itload of stuff including a concrete table, a smart scale, and a bed adjustment cable, she didn't even clean the shattered glass from the broken scale in the bathroom and I just stepped on a piece of glass barefoot, she moved s#it and didn't put back where it was, she moved items that I specifically asked her not to, the apartment is not as clean as it supposed to be so I have been running around cleaning the million areas she skipped as I have visitors coming tomorrow and the place is not clean, she is a big mouth and whenever I tried to tell her something she started talking over me pretending she knows it all. Not to mention she tried to hide the scale and lie until I saw the glass on the floor. This isn't the first time, first cleaner unplugged my computer in the middle of my work, lies about it and denied it, and a week later I discovered she didn't plug it back properly so it just fell off the socket and my computer shut down again in the middle of my work day causing me to lose work and time in both instance, infuriating is an understatement. I have broken furniture now that my work guests will see and it is terrible for my image. This company has done me more harm than good. I cannot believe I subscribed to this service, MyClean is absolutely the worst, oh and the agents have the s#ittiest entitled attitude on the phone as if I f$#@en work for them. This company is a joke. I paid for the deep clean as I am about to list my apartment for sale. It was hot that day so the AC was on, windows closed. When I returned windows were still closed and the AC was turned off, so I promptly turned it back on. The next day the building turned off the AC, I went to open my window, and it no longer stays open, won't close fully, and I'm unable to lock it. Company says it's not their problem and I have to pay to repair it myself. Also my cleaner did a JOKE of a job, still soap on the walls of my shower, dirt on the baseboards, TV and console were covered in dust, toilet still had the brown ring at the water line. So I've hired MyClean to perform a move out service. Their requirements for you are to provide a vacuum, step stool, and toilet brush. For a one bedroom, I paid just short of $300. The first cleaning, their cleaner arrived 30 minutes late and I did let her know which areas need to be clean and how to get the trash out. I left for the day and returned the next, only to find trash was not removed, floors were not swept, tile was not washed, tub was not scrubbed, microwave was not cleaned--all services you'd expect from a move out. I let their operations manager know as part of a move out I do expect a complete cleaning of the apartment as the next tenant would want to move into a new place. They offered to send someone for a second cleaning assuming I'd be there to direct them (huh it's a full move out--everything must be cleaned as if it's new). Do note I am also not that dirty. Yes there several stains on top of the fridge and quite the number of dust bunnies but this is all vacuumable and sweepable. The second cleaner came while I wasn't there and completed their job. I go to check it out the next day and lo and behold--most surfaces were cleaned but the same problem spots are there. Microwave still not clean, floors not swept, drawers still have debris. While I appreciate their effort to try to remediate the problem, it turns out the convenience of booking over web does not justify the quality of their service. Paying top dollar for NYC cleaning and receiving less than stellar service at the price of convenience is not a good trade off. Disappointed they have my money and will likely be penalized by the landlord. read more

Wouldn't recommend this service -- we spent $150 on a cleaning to come home to a dirty apartment. The faucets had not been properly wiped down (there was still toothpaste on the faucet in the bathroom) and there was dirt in the shower. There was dust on surfaces -- bookshelves, the coffee table, etc. Part of the issue may have been that it seems the cleaner arrived without supplies -- our neighbor who let them in noted she arrived empty handed. I have a extremely small studio so shouldn't be too hard to get the place in a really impeccable state for $87. They ask to use your vacuum, which I have a little cheapy wouldn't have ordered if I knew in advance. My kitchen counter tops/ stove area had smudges all over them.....mind that they are so small like a mini area in a hotel. Like the only area to clean wasn't even clean. Do not use!!! They sent different people each time because the employees quit frequently, no one has ever used the checklist in my many cleans with them and the service varies greatly. Also they charge hidden fees and customer service is non existent. I recommend finding a more reliable and better organized company. read more
