Super rude front desk staff. The lady by the name Myrah was extremely unprofessional and rude. It almost felt like she didn't want to be there and taking it out on customers is absolutely unacceptable. After reading all the negative comments about this location, we wanted to give this place the benefit of a doubt and try it out. The customer service was a disappointment. Had a super rude phone interaction with the manager Kristen. I called to order a box of monthly contacts and successfully placed the order, then asked if I could come pick up a sample box which has literally two days worth of contacts for a wedding I am going to this weekend. The manager told me that that was a perk of ordering a year at a time. I let me know that I've never heard that before and if it was a new rule and if there was anyway I could just get it this time since I have an event and had no idea that this was a "perk". I've been going to this location for years and have never been told that ever! And I've also never had a problem picking up a sample box when I'm in a time crunch. She then very rudely and condescendingly repeated word for word what she already told me like I was a five year old. Will not be returning to this location, and instead will be going to the stone ridge location with a much nicer manager. So disappointing. My whole family has been customers of this branch since they opened. We have never had an issue, until this past Monday my glasses lost a screw, and of course, came in to get them fixed. The person in the front was not very friendly nor helpful. I told her I needed my glasses to work. She said they couldn't fix them and the only option she gave me was to get an exam in two weeks and to buy new glasses. Which I was planning to do anyway. But in the meantime, I had to get my old glasses fixed. IT ONLY NEEDED A SCREW. I went home found one of those glasses fixing kit and made them work. read more

I went there due to an urgent eye infection on a Saturday aapt. The doctor prescribed anti biotic drops to start immediately. They forgot to send the prescription to CVS. I called Doctor's office and reminded them again to send the prescription before the pharmacy closes. THEY AGAIN FORGOT. Now, it's Tuesday Monday being a holiday I am stuck with the infections with out a medicine. I called Pharmacy and they never received any orders for eye drops. The My Eye Doctor, South Riding Office staff is not responsive. Now, it is 4 th day , I lost co pay, my time and no medicine. I am going to another doctor. What a pain with these folks. This location has poor follow through and a very rude associate named Julia. Called to follow up on an order which I learned had never been placed and then was told I would just have to wait for it to be placed again. When I expressed frustration Julia was snarky - if you can't do your job don't get upset when the patient gets upset. My whole family has been going to this location since they opened and while the doctors have been great the rest of the staff has consistently gone down hill. read more

This location is very helpful and the staff was patient with contact lenses training. Very understanding and honest with the process. I explained my experience at another location and they were compassionate and attentive to what I needed. I had visited this location a few years back and the staff helped me out then. Even now with the new staff, I was able to have a conversation, smile and laugh with them. read more

many of the employees here are smart alecks. the general manager especially is very rude. her name is kirsten. every time my family and i come in for an appointment, she always has an attitude and has smart remarks as well. i'm not sure how she is a manager when she is constantly rude, constantly has smart remarks, etc. i enjoy coming here because the doctors are nice, but other than the doctors everyone else is pretty rude. the receptionist, the general manager kirsten, and the guy who sells contacts and glasses. not worth it to come here since the customer service is so awful. read more

Terrible experience with this branch. Only used their services because they are 1 mile away from where I live but I would rather drive a little further to someplace with better service. Only giving 2 stars because the Dr spent a good time checking my eyes for my annual exam. I ordered contact lens which were a month late (no samples were provided and I was calling every week to get the status of my lens). I wanted to order eye glasses and lens but felt pressurized to do so with their sale's pitch whilst browsing frames. Unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

We made an appointment to have our 10 year old try contact lenses. They took the information a couple weeks ago, and we went in this evening. The first time you try contacts, it can be frustrating, especially for a 10 year. We got out of the DR 's office sometime around 4:30. The girl was working with my son, and I was sitting closely to make sure I knew how he was learning so we could repeat at home. At 5 pm "Ken" the Manager came over and said -"how long have you been here, we only give people 45 minutes to try this". My poor son had gotten one in (which I thought was pretty impressive actually) and was working on the second, getting frustrated, and I looked up and said "we haven't been here 45 minutes" and he asks when we got there and says "he's got other customers that need help". I calmly got up and asked to speak with him to the side, and I tell him firstly, we weren't there for 45 minutes and secondly, if he was going to say that, could he not say it in front of my son bc it was making him feel badly about not being able to do it" I walk away and he says "can you come back here?" Ok- walk back. "He says I don't know why you're getting your son contacts at 10 years old - is there a medical reason he needs them? Kids should be getting contacts at 14" Excuse me!! I am stunned at this point. I walk back over to where the girl is working with my son and I say "I guess we have to leave bc your Manager doesn't think my son should have contacts" The girl says "but he just got one in - we are close". Then, "Ken" says to me again "Can you come here"? OoooooooK He says "why are you sitting right there while he's learning? We don't like parents sitting there" My son gets the second one in. He says "See! You walked away, and he got it in". I say "he also got one in when I WAS sitting there". He walks away. The poor girl tries to make an excuse for him. That he normally doesn't act like that etc etc. Then the Dr comes out and I inquire "the Manager said my son is too young for contacts?" She looks shocked and says "that's not true, we have kids coming in much younger at 7 and 8 so I'm not sure what he is referring to?" I know it sounds crazy. I am still in shock. I ended up ordering the contacts bc they were free with my insurance but had my son's glasses and all my prescriptions printed. Will not give this man anymore of our business. If your child needs contacts, this is NOT the place to go. read more

Don't waste your time! When I went to my first appointment I had to wait an hour to see the doctor. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was just an off day for the office. I had to make a follow up appointment and after waiting 30 minutes I asked the receptionist when I would get called back. She told me the doctor was currently with someone else and didn't know when I'd be called back. At that point I left. This office is very close to me so it's a real bummer they can't get it together. Especially because when I actually saw the doctor she was very nice. read more

Had a great experience. The doctor knew her stuff and was very nice and accommodating. She explained everything in normal people talk not just doctor words. Lol. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. They even gave our daughter some cool and cute stickers with glasses on them! Spent awhile there and didn't feel rushed whatsoever. I have been coming to this location for last 6 months because it is very close to my home for my lasik follow up .The follow ups have been 5 days 1month ,3months 6month etc . I am a frequent at this location a lot. The front desk customer service could really use a friendly and professional attitude . Went in for eye exam for me and my teenage daughter. Daughter got glassss and I got two computer glasses. Was able to schedule appointment that fits my busy schedule. Friendly staff, dr was great and professional. They have varieties of glasses to choose from. Received glasses less than a week even though they said it would take two weeks. Really happy about that. I initially came to this office last December to utilize my insurance. My experience during the eye exam was superb. Both the doctor and the gentleman who helped me with processing the order were very nice. The doctor recommended me to try a new brand of contact lenses so I left the office with 5 days worth of trial lens. However I couldn't really decide if I liked the new brand and commit myself a year worth of them. Here is why I just gave a three star rating. I called two times asking if I can try out the trials again but the order was never processed. First time, a lady answered and she said she'll get back with me but never called. Second time a gentleman answered and told me to wait until a couple of days. The third time I called, the front receptionist lady said there was no order placed under my name. She was also somewhat unfriendly in handling my situation. So for the third time I was told to wait two three days until my trial lenses arrive. Overall great experience in the clinic but not so much when you're calling them on the phone. It's almost been a month since I got my initial exam and I'm running out of my old ones...Hope I get my contact lenses soon. read more

Came in on a Sunday right before closing and the gentleman working was very helpful and patient. The selection of glasses was good but I couldn't find a pair of glasses I had seen the week before at another chain in a different state (even with the item #). I eventually picked out a pair I liked and was given a pick up date of almost 2 weeks later although he did mention they often get in earlier then anticipated. I was going out of town the following Sunday so I called that Friday to see if they were in- I knew it was a long shot. The lady that answered seemed annoyed I was asking about the status even though I mentioned it was a long shot. So, I reiterated that I knew what the projected date I was given but again, I wanted to just see just in case. Ultimately the glasses weren't in and I decided not to call Saturday after being made to feel like an inconvenience. I regret that decision because Sunday morning at 8am (the day I had to leave for my trip) I got an automated text that my glasses were ready.....but the store is closed on Sundays.
