My family of five have been going to this practice for years. I had an appointment, I showed up for the appointment, they told me I never confirmed it because I never answered my phone. I showed them my voicemails my received calls proving that they never called me. Then they confirmed my phone number they had in the system was correct but they had it marked in their system as wrong phone number. So I drove 35 minutes for my appt., missed hours of work. They told me they couldn't see me. They said a company bought them, not all the information transferred into the new system. But I confirmed that Dr. Bishop of Easton Eyecare is still working under the new name of MyEyeDr. They wouldn't even try to work with me when it was their mistake. Arrive 10 mins early as you should for a 9 am appt and their door was locked. Waiting outside in very chilly windy weather for 10 mins I decided to go back to my car. I tried calling and got the "we're closed right now" message. Then a woman pulled in beside me and I saw her go into store. I went back in and explained I had been waiting. Then another worker was snickering. Then I get a clip board to fill out and verify data. While doing that the lady said to me "you know this is a remote exam today right ". Appreciated they were able to get my son it relatively quickly. Doctor was great and would definitely return for the eye exam portion. Not at all impressed with the optical side of things. Not professional and honestly leaves me uneasy and not confident that my son received the correct prescription. No PD done before ordering his glasses - and I had to call numerous times over a three week period to get information that was promised to me via email. Wish they would take a look at their optical department and make improvements. They can do much better. And I am very patient and understanding - but also very customer service oriented. Definitely had to have an eye exam because it has been over 3 years since my last one and I felt like I was going blind. Called my insurance company and they gave me this company and I glad I chose this location. Upon entering the door I was greeted with a friendly smile. They representative checked me in and handed me my paperwork to file out and after I was done a technician called me to the back and checked my eyes. After she was done the doctor brought me in the back and completed my exam. I felt like they were family. The prices for the services were definitely reasonable considering I have terrible vision and have to wear bifocals. I will definitely be returning for a second pair of frames. Great job! read more

First time patient and after 2 hours, I left with no glasses. The doctor told me I had dry eye and she didn't feel comfortable writing me a prescription because I needed to use eye drops for 4 weeks and then come back again. After I left the room I spoke to the front desk and they scheduled me for a month later to come back again. When the doctor came back out I expressed that I wanted to use my end-of-year benefit and wanted to go ahead with the glasses and didn't see how dry-eye, would make a difference in the prescription. She said she had already discarded my prescription and couldn't write one. I asked why it was discarded when she asked me to come back in 4 weeks for another exam to check my dry eye and now she has nothing to compare it to if she has "discarded" my prescription? That made no sense to me. I left angry and went ahead and scheduled an appointment with another doctor next week. I will not be returning to MyEyeDr in Easton. read more

I was scheduled for an appointment in December. The day before I was called and told that they were closing the office for Christmas (this was the 22nd). The next available was in late February. I advised them that I would also need an exam for the Hydrocloriqine I take. I show up in February and after the regular exam they inform me that they can't do the separate exam. That needs to be scheduled separately (wish they would of told me when the other appointment was rescheduled). So I show up for my 10am appointment and was told the technician did not show and we have to reschedule again. Today I show up and after sitting there for 20 minutes I inquire that if I'm the first appointment of the day why am I still sitting here (this test is only given on Tuesdays and the office doesn't open till 10am). They told me that it takes 10 minutes to warm up the machine. I gave them another 10 minutes and after waiting 30 minutes reschedule again. Funny they wanted me to come in at 10am again. I asked why I would want to come in at 10am and wait for the machine to warm up. They moved the next appointment to 11am. Hopefully the third time works. Not a happy customer. read more

TLDR: Staff copped an attitude when I said I planned to purchase glasses online instead of in store and didn't listen to my concerns about my prescription being typed up incorrectly. After getting a second opinion at a different ophthalmologist my concerns were validated as the new prescription was completely different than the one My Eye Dr. gave. I don't normally write reviews, but I feel like it's worth leaving one to hopefully warn any future customers based on my experiences. I made an appointment in April 2022 to get my prescription updated. I asked to see a doctor in person but was told when I arrived that it would be a telehealth appointment. No biggie, but it sounded like this type of thing may happen often based on how the person helping me reacted. I went through with the exam and everything seemed fine. I let the girl who did the exam know I just wanted an updated prescription and I planned to purchase glasses online. She told me I would have to get my PD measured up front if I wanted to buy glasses online. When the exam was done she sent me up front to the people who help sell the glasses in store. Up until this point, everything was fine. When I met with the workers up front they let me know what my insurance would cover and pushed for me to purchase a pair of glasses in store. I let them know multiple times that I only wanted to get my PD measured and that I planned to purchase glasses online as it would be a cheaper option for me. That's when they got an attitude. The woman who was helping me walked off in a huff, went behind a curtain and came back to tell me I had to sign an internet purchase waiver. I signed it and was given my updated prescription but when I went to look at the new prescription it showed that my vision somehow improved despite the doctor saying it changed slightly for the worse. I asked if they could double check the new prescription as it didn't seem right. My eyesight has been -4.75 for years now, so it didn't make sense that it would improve and be -4.00 now. I thought maybe there was a typo. Instead of checking with the doctor or anyone else who helped me that day I was told "Everyone who works here is a professional. Your vision looks like it's improved. That happens sometimes." I was frustrated by that point and just said ok and checked out. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get another appointment elsewhere until yesterday, but when I went to the new ophthalmologist my suspicions were confirmed. I was given the complete wrong prescription at My Eye Dr. The assistant at the new place went so far as to show me what the prescription would look like if I went with the one My Eye Dr. gave me. Everything was blurry. She told me that she had other patients come in who also didn't have great things to say about My Eye Dr. Needless to say, not everyone who works there is a professional like they claim. I don't recommend going here if you want an accurate eyeglass prescription but the attitude I was given regarding wanting to buy glasses online and asking for the prescription to be double checked is what pushed me to write this review. Not everyone can afford to buy the overpriced glasses in store and the ones that are covered by insurance usually aren't that nice. I understand wanting to make sales, but being rude to your customers isn't how you retain customers or make new sales. My concern about my prescription being written down wrong is based on my 15+ years of having glasses and never once having my vision get better during that time. If they had taken the time to double check or look into things more, I probably would have been a return customer. read more

Seemingly nice but after a mixup over my appointment time and me driving over an hour I was sent away with nothing but a "we can reschedule for another day." Zero effort was made to accommodate me that day despite the mixup not being entirely my fault. As I said, they were nice enough but no real customer service or willingness to help in any way.
