They told me I didn't have insurance benefits, when I did, and was easily able to order glasses from another provider. But when I tried to order glasses from another provider, I realized MyEyeDr didn't actually give me the prescription, but an order for glasses. I called to get a prescription emailed to me and they sent a version without the doctor's signature. So, I had to call again to request the prescription with the signature. read more

Doctor was prompt and thorough. I've been experiencing increasing issues with my vision over the course of the last few months and was despairing over why my eyes had changed so drastically since my last eye exam. The doctor was very attentive and thorough when evaluating my eyes, carefully considering my medical history including medications and quickly determined that (1) I need bi-focals, but also (2) my pupils were over dilated (likely due to medications I take) and letting in to much light, and recommended glasses with transition lenses for driving/bright environments. Sales staff was incredibly nice and attentive, helping me to price a reasonable pair of frames. With my vision insurance the cost was very affordable. Seems like an easy fix and I left feeling immensely better. Very excited to get my new glasses! read more

Terrible customer service. Be prepared to wait. I had to wait over 30 minutes for eye exam even with an appointment. They do not call when glasses are ready. Went to pickup glasses waited over an hour to have them adjust the glasses. Be prepared for a long wait and terrible customer service. I was yelled at when I asked for a refund on glasses. I recently went into this location to order prescription glasses as I had lost mine and need them to drive. The gal that helped took me to an area where I found a frame that I liked. We sat down and she put together an order but didn't go over each individual charge (I had bought glasses there before). After keying in everything she told me my cost after what my insurance would pay was $233.50 and that it could be 2 weeks before they came in. Never did she say it might end up being more money. I told her I wanted to think about it but to hold the order. I called the next morning and the gal who answered the phone looked up my account, saw the order and said my cost was $233.50. I gave her my credit card and asked her to place the order. Almost 3 weeks and I never received a call that they were in. I called back to be told they weren't in yet; then I received a call back saying they were in the back in a pile of glasses that needed to be "checked". Anyway...I was able to pick them up 2 days later. Now I have just received a bill for another $278.50; my insurance did NOT cover what the original gal told me it would. Neither one of the girls that I spoke with ever said "it could be more." Needless to say....I won't be going back to MyEyeDr nor will my family and friends that I've referred to them. Don't go here! This used to be a great company to do business with but since MyEyeDoctor took over it is a MESS. About a month ago I had an appointment. For some reason no one could figure out my United Vision Insurance to order my contacts after my visit. They told me that they would look into what my insurance would cover and get back to me so that I could place my order. After a week of no contact, I called and asked them if they could let me know what my price was or if I could order my contacts. They could not answer this seemingly simple question but they said that they would look at it and get back to me that day. No one called. For FOUR weeks, I have called them at least once a week and asked them what is going on and every time they tell me that they will look into it and get right back to me. I am currently out of contacts! My EyeDr is just another example of a company that undertrains and underpays their employees while raising prices. Basically they just extract value from high performance companies like the optometrist that existed before MyEyeDr. I have ask them to send me my records so that I can find a new optometrist. I can only imagine how long that will take. As a society we need to stop doing business with companies like this!! read more

I go to the MyEyeDr. in Highlands Ranch. There is another location close to my work and called there for a simple question about a replacement Chemistrie sun clip case and they could not help answer my question nor knew what I was referring to. I called my regular location in Highlands Ranch which is much farther away because I stick with what is good even if I have to drive out of my way. They knew immediately what I was talking about and helped. I popped in unannounced to pick up the case and had a few minutes to consider my options for replacing lenses in my previous frames. Bri was so helpful and was able to help answer all of my questions. She was thorough and precise. I am excited to get my old frames back! read more

While the optometry services are good, the glasses are grossly overpriced. Lens start at $250 and the cheapest frames are $200, so $450 and up. If your prescription changes, you probably need multiple pairs of glasses. Gets expensive fast! I went to Costco and got 3 pairs of glasses with all the extras on the lenses at no charge. Going here for years family of 5. Long time loyal patient of Dr Whithers. Walked in for appointment and approached desk at 1110. Front desk and office manager said I would need to reschedule as they have a 10 minute late policy. Interesting as I usually sit and wait 20 plus minutes to be seen. No worries - if they can't be accommodating we will take our family of 5 business elsewhere. Dr Whithers was great, but he left. I was going to buy some new glasses but the reality is this place overcharges for glasses so I highly recommend you shop around around. read more

I arrived at 9:30 for a 9:40 medical emergency APPT- i made an appt the day before.I said i needed to leave at 10:45. I was told the dr had a medical and routine before me so it could be anywhere from 30-60 min wait. I could not sit and wait not know if i could be seen. I used these guys for 5 years, moved, lost my insurance and moved back and had to go to Americas Best. I had an issue with them and am still waiting on my order placed 3 weeks ago to ship. Had a good experience here, though not particularly noteworthy. Pretty much got in and got out quickly after updating my prescription. They did price match what Costco would charge for my contacts so that saved me a trip, which was nice. Have been a 'patient' for almost 2 years. Today will be the last time I set foot in there. Without going into a thorough explanation of the last 2 years...I'll say, the wait times are ridiculous. You literally have to plan 1/2 a day to be there, appointment times are null. They price gouge, nickel and dime, make additions that are unnecessary to raise the cost. If you buy a lower cost frame...to offset the cost of the lenses, guaranteed they will no longer have them if you need a new frame. All of a sudden the cheapest frames are $150, again, without your lens. My transition prescription never seemed right, after only 9 months of trying to make it work, went back they retested me said the 'bump' of prescription at the bottom of the transition was wrong... But they still wanted additional $550 to 'fix' it. Albeit their issue to begin with. Needless to say, after I walked out the door today, I walked in to another place, no appointment, waited five minutes, they looked at my glasses, went over my prescription, took off all the additional upcharges... Low and behold I never need a transition lens. Walked out with new frames new glasses for a 1/4 the cost. read more

I'm giving this stars compared to zero stars because the lady that helped us was great. With short hair and thick glasses. Very professional and friendly! However. We waited to be called for what felt like 2 hours . We we greeted and said we would be helped shortly. Not being told you had to put your name on a list. Watching multiple people come in and out of the place. I ordered progressive glasses and paid over $400 just for lenses with insurance.Spent over a year trying MyEyeDr to make them work, but they couldn't. Finally asked to change progressive lenses to single vision glasses according to the script doctor wrote for me, glasses came out to be too weak MyEyeDr refused to adjust them, I have to use my old glasses made 4 years ago. Money and time wasted and no glasses. What is the point in checking eye sight if they can't make glasses, find another place! read more

I have been going to this location for over 10 years. The last pair of glasses that I had them make for me I have not worn. I picked them up during the start of COVID and they just handed them to me and said to let them know if they don't work. I haven't worn them since because they didn't fit right and the script seemed off. I didn't let them know (my bad) because I still had another pair that seemed to work right. Well I went in on 2/19 for my check up, the doctor took my glasses and had the script read on the my old pair that I have been wearing and scratched the lenses with little circles in the middle right were I look through. I didn't notice until the next day when I went to go put them on. I went back down there, the General Manager Jennifer Marg, said that there is nothing they can do for me. I told her this is unacceptable, there doctor scratched my glasses that I had taken such good care of for years and the 5 minutes she had them, had scratched them. I told her I will not be back because they won't take responsibility for their fault - all she said was "ok". No apology or anything. She only offered 40% of new lenses once I told her I am going to write a review on terrible business practice. I do not want to spent another dime of my money at a place that treats their customers like they don't matter. I have spent at least a couple thousands of dollars with them, not to mention whatever my insurance gives them. I have not had an issue coming here until this year. I felt the exam and the provider I saw was very good both times. The issue I have is with the fact that I had lenses replaced in a pair of prescription sunglasses that I already owned. I could immediately tell that they felt loose when I first tried them on after lenses were replaced. I went in three more times to have them adjusted, and wanted to know what my options were since they didn't feel the same as before. I was told there was nothing that could be done since there wasn't a problem with the lenses and they did not alter the frames at all. I then decided to try another of their locations. Right away someone there was able to find the problem, and they now fit well. He explained that the lenses placed in the frame were too big and stretched the frame. He was able to grind down the lenses some to fit the frame. So...the frame was altered! So disappointed in the first location, and I will most likely switch to the other location.
