The best experience I had today. It was my 1st time to this practice to get my eye glasse prescription. They are very courteous from front desk Serena, to Chris who did my eye computer exam. I really I want to highlight and give extra special kudos to 2 amazing people I met who took care of me. Dr Taylor - she did my eye exam and she was so thorough going through every piece of information, checking my eyes and giving me every possible options to make sure I have prescription for both glasses and the contact lenses and she was very quick as there's a lot of light that goes into eyes while examining, so that she recognized while checking Vonne - the best and the most humble and courteous, and with the highest patience person I met there. I was a little bit disappointed with my out-of-pocket for the lens prescription. However, she took time gave me a special glasses to wear in order for me to go over the bill. Explain me every single line item and help me make the decision purely because of her courtesy I end up paying and getting that prescription. So, I complained about this MyEyeDr a bit ago. As a result they told me to reach out to them to resolve the issue. I spent a good bit of time with them on the phone, during which they promised a full refund. I paid $83 out of pocket. Guess what they refunded me: $1. Please don't go to the eye doctor. They are unscrupulous and should be put out of business. Needless to say, they don't even deserve one star. If I could give a negative I would, because they are unethical. read more

Went two years in a row for eye exam and glasses. Both years the glasses failed to correct my vision.

Following up from my first review, I received a text message this past Saturday that my new eyeglasses were in and ready for pick up. I was expecting this pair to arrive around the 23rd of Oct. but was pleasantly surprised to have received the text a week prior. That's nice. After entering the store again, I noticed that there were 2 staff members working with approx. 5 other guests inside. Sherry excelled and did so with a smile. She had me take a seat and wait for 10 mins and then gave me personalized attention at making sure my new eyes fit well. This is was a much bigger improvement over my last visit. Only giving 2 stars for the great front desk service and the tech who took care of me before the exam. I was seen by Dr. DISSANAYAKE-MUSALEM who took a look at my left eye because I had some issues with it. So my exam switched from routine to medical. When she asked if I had health insurance I said no and she laughed. I asked how much it would be for the medical exam and she left out the room and came back with the price saying "$55 is the lowest I can get it". I explained that I was just curious and whatever needed to be done for my exam I would pay for it. She sat silently and typed on her tablet and just prescribed me medication. Didn't take another look at my eye. I don't know exactly was wrong with it and I can tell that her energy toward me shifted after she learned I didn't have health insurance (which is by choice btw). After I was walked to the front I seen a look on her face with another Dr. as if they talked about it while she was out of the room like there was a problem. I do not feel taken care of and yes I feel it's because I'm black. I felt the underlying prejudice. I will not be coming back to this location. read more

Had a good visit with the O.D! But you all have GOT to be more transparent with your pricing. I walked in being told that I would have a $40 co pay, and left with a $164 bill after insurance was taken into account for a contact lense fitting (I've worn contacts my entire life) and pictures of my eyes. I wouldn't have minded if I was told up front, but I wasn't and definitely left feeling salty. I don't think people should have to beg for their prices in healthcare, and I think this culture needs to stop. It definitely doesn't want to make you purchase contacts or eyeglasses from the location, just leaves you feeling bamboozled and dumb. read more

I was worried about how I'd be greeted in the front office....They really have stepped up their front office staff with a welcoming feel! I would like to share my recent experience at MyEyeDr (3603 Davis Dr Ste 100, Morrisville, NC 27560) I went there on 5/24/23 to adjust my frame. After I walked out the store and back into my car, I noticed the right arm of the glasses will not bend and fold and will not fit into my car cupholder where I normally keep it. I immediately walked back into the store to ask the employees to undo what they did and make my glasses' arm fold again. Instead of trying to figure out what was done to my glasses, the lady who did the frame adjustment took a look at the glass and told front desk to tell me that's not her issue. When I explained to the front desk this is unacceptable all glasses' arm fold, some damage was done inside the store to my glasses, the general manager came out and proceed to tell me there is dirt on the glass, that's why it will not bend. (This is completely illogical explanation). Finally, the general manager told me there is no video evidence my glasses was able to bend in the first place so therefore it's not their problem). The management that day was more concerned about trying to make me leave the store than trying to fix a problem their employee created . So, I walked out the Morrisville store, drove to the MyEyeDr Cary store, explained to the Cary store employees what has transpired, and they were able to fix it under 5min. my glasses now bend as normal. My takeaway for the MyEyeDr (3603 Davis Dr Ste 100, Morrisville, NC 27560): * There is is lack of technical expertise. If another location to which I'm not a customer can fix it and do it for free. There is 0 reason why if u r qualified at the job, you cannot make adjustment. * The way the manager quickly tries to suggest I have no proof my glasses was functional, implying I came in with a broken glasses potentially trying to scam to get new ones demonstrate complete lack of character, ethic and human decency. If this business thinks when they potentially damaged a customer's glasses, they can get away suggesting it's the other way around. There is no need for return customers. I have been a customer at this location for over 5 yrs, I did all my eye exams here, purchased on avg $400-500 per year for new glasses form MyEyeDoc, this makes me question whether I should continue to be a customer Overall, within the same franchise, if Cary location can fix my glasses with no question asked and free of charge. Morrisville location need to evaluate a couple of things: * Train your staffs to be qualified at glasses adjustment * Evaluate the situation before attempting to blame the customer. I'd give a zero if I could to this doctor office. The staff is consistently rude and racists to say the least. They make the patients wait unnecessarily while the misbehaving staff is busy doing nothing. I've had enough giving them chances considering that it is conveniently located and the doctor is good. Been a patient here for a few years. The last two eye glasses I purchased were terrible. One pair, the progressive type, made me dizzy so this next pair I purchased they made me a bifocal. No joke it actually has a visible line on the lens. It also makes me dizzy trying to find my "happy place" as they call it. I recently went to the Morrisville location for an eye and contact exam. When I was making the appointment I mentioned that I was having dry eyes and redness and asked if that could be addressed during the annual exam or if I needed to make two appointments. So Sherrie suggested that I first see Dr. Vachhani for a medical appointment which would be covered by my medical insurance. So I did, and I was put on medication. Dr. Vachhani suggested that I do the eye exam in 10 days so she could also check to make sure my eyes were getting better. Dr. Vachhani did a wonderful job, and my eyes feel so much better already. I didn't realize I had chronic dry eye and medication would help as much as it has in only 10 days because the OTC drops I'd been using didn't help. So I went back this week for my yearly exam. I had been planning to get replacement lenses for my Ray Bans at LensCrafters because they had the Ray Ban lenses, which I really love. Turns out that My Eye Doctor sends glasses to Ray Ban and also price matches. Sunglasses and lenses were also 20% off. They also price matched my contacts at Costco's prices, saving me over $100. I did also buy a new pair of prescription sunglasses and also got lenses put in a pair of frames I bought before the pandemic to spend the rest of my FSA money. Christina handled everything and was a pleasure to work with. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I even got a free pair of non prescription Marc Hunter sunglasses that look like Wayfarers with awesome blue mirror lenses. I loved that they handled everything and price matched, which saved me trips to Costco and LensCrafters (I had been told My Eye Doctor couldn't get Ray Ban lenses and got clones instead, but the person had been mistaken.) I've had my prescription Ray Bans for 5 years, and they still look new. Their lenses are the best ones I've ever used, so I wanted the same ones. So I had been planning to go to LensCrafters, which meant I'd have to drive to Raleigh and get stuck in rush hour traffic. My Eye Doctor is right by my house, and I got everything handled painlessly in a single afternoon. My Eye Doctor is also going out of their way to protect people in the pandemic and even sterilize the sample frames between customers. I was really impressed by their commitment to safety. I've been to multiple eye doctors over the years, and this location at My Eye Doctor is my favorite. The other places were just ok. Sherry at the front desk is so sweet and makes you feel so welcome and loved. Everyone there is awesome. read more

This was my second visit to the Morrisville, NC location which is very near my home. My first visit was made during a bit of an emergency. I had debris in my eye and was unable to clear it with a home eye wash kit. The receptionist (at the time) was considerate enough during this visit to escort me quickly into see the OD, given my obvious discomfort. However, after explaining my circumstance to the OD, she insisted that I undergo a complete a vision test before she would examine my eye! Needless to say, I had to leave for real help. Ok...maybe I should not have considered a second visit -- even in a nonexigent situation. But I did. My visit today was to select frames for a new eyeglass prescription I received earlier this week. There were no other customers in the store when I followed a couple into the store (2:00 Thursday afternoon). Each parent carried a child with them. They walked to the receptionist (Rachel) for help while I started viewing frames near the front window. My goal was to give the small family privacy with space during their check in. The receptionist summoned a colleague from the rear of the store to assist them. I walked up to the receptionist counter to inquire about my requirements. Just as I approached she took a short telephone call. I continued to shop the frames, hoping she would ask me about the purpose of my visit. After circling all the store displays and trying on several frames (about 20 minutes), I still had not been approached or greeted by a single employee. Well, I found a pair of $400 frames that I really liked but spend my hard-earned self-pay dollars in a store whose employees cannot acknowledge my presence? Eek! Me thinks not. Not today. Customer service here is superb! Sherry and Justin at the front desk were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I was able to get an appointment quickly, and Dr. Vachhani was thorough and explained every part of the exam well. The technician who started the exam, I believe her name was Nicole, was also very friendly and answered my many questions. I rarely ever post reviews on yelp, but this experience was disturbing and reeked of shady business practices. I came in for routine eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, and was evaluated by some fantastic women; however, when I went to pay a few items occurred, which makes me NEVER want to go to a MyEyeDr ever again. Period. 1) I was told to go sit in the frame fitting area because "this is what they prefer" when I clearly said all I want to do is get my prescriptions and pay with no frames or contacts. 2) The billing woman came outside and spent 20 minutes trying to hustle me to buy things by being deceptive by: 2a) Telling me that my insurance (VSP) would not cover my contact lens fitting if I didn't buy my contacts from them. LIES (I told her this is not the case as I did this last year, fitting in the store and bought contacts online). This practice has probably tricked many people into buying contacts at their store instead of searching for better deals online. 2b) Telling me countless times how much easier it would be to just buy it from them, even though I kept reiterated I wanted just the prescriptions. Then she started probing me on why and where I bought it...honestly none of your business, just give me the output of the services I paid for (the prescription). 3) None of the information from the whole exam flowed to their billing system and I sat there for 10 minutes while she typed aimlessly 4) The prescriptions weren't even printed out to give me!! What was the point of the appointment then... 5) The whole experience took 1+ hour for a routine visit with me showing up 10 minutes early and taking me 10 minutes late. Not sure of all the bad negative reviews, but whenever I come here I get a great experience and the staff really care about me and value my business. They even gave me free lens wipes and a cleaner. terrible experience with Sarah J and it is not even first time. Sherri at front desk and doctors does their job but ruin everything when leave Dr's cabin and come here to do check out and collect prescription. First of all, no one explains before hand if they do something additional than routine check up and that service will be charged on us. At the check out, they just asked $112 for contact lens fit and when ask for explanation, She was rude, unprofessional with no customer service attitude in mind. In addition, she was not even apologized for providing wrong information when Sherri corrected her. Staff throws blames to each other and ultimately we have to pay. During same visit charged $39 for pictures for my daughter and no one informed us inside. Please ask for any service they do whether you going to pay at the end or it is part of your annual visit. Management really need to train few of their staff on customer service. read more

Avoid this place if you can. I have repeatedly called to figure out the status of my contacts, since it was supposed to be shipped to my new home location in Georgia. No one seems to know, or try to do anything about it, until during one call (my third one), someone said that the order seems to not be going to my GA address, but to the Morrisville office. Unconcerned, they asked if that was fine, and luckily for them, I was in the area in the timeframe at which the contacts were to be delivered. Now that I am in Morrisville, I called yet again and somehow, no one knows where it is. It's been a total of 16 days, and I know it's an issue with them and not UPS. read more

I spoke to chinieu.P and she took care of me even at the time of closing the store ,Ms.Chinieu.P has patience nature Wonderful customer service skill, she helped me out since I walked in the door with all my questions professionally. DISAPPOINTED...TERRIBLE..TERRIBLE. On July the 7th, I went to get my eye exam followed by a selection of sunglasses two days after. Throughout my time there, I made sure to let the assistants know that I will be leaving for Vegas on July the 26th. After I had picked and paid for my sunglasses, I was assured that they will arrive by July the 21st. However, when I came to myeyedr on July 21st, I was told my insurance had been "reset" and they cannot send it to the lab yet. The assistant, Justin, assured me that they will be arrive on the morning of 26th, the day of my flight. On the 23rd of July, I received a call from Justin saying that I had to come choose my sunglasses all over again since the current ones were too hard to have their lenses taken off. I left in the middle of work, knowing how urgent this was, and went to pick a different pair of sunglasses. Sadly, today is the 26th and I have just come back from myeyedr empty handed. My sunglasses failed to arrive. As I left, I heard similar promises being made to customers that were made to me on July the 9th. I shook my head in utter disappointment. But the worst part of the experience has been that a glasses salesman (since Justin was too busy with his other customers), when hearing that I can't get the glasses on a later date (since I will be gone), casually replied, "oh, we'll just do a refund." I was SHOCKED at his casual demeanor due the amount of STRESS, TIME, and MONEY I had invested in this endeavor. Morrisville is a well-knit and a small community; I happen to know many people within family, friends, and friend of friends who use myeyedr as their eye care provider. First of all we as a family have been visited this facility since this was not MyEyeDr. and love seeing Dr. Anjali Vachhani for all our eye health needs and this review is NOT at all negative for her abilities and behaviors, she's just amazing doctor and helped us over past 10 years. The review is about a horrible front desk experience that I had this morning with Ms. Cherryl. My 2 kids had eye exam appointment this morning back to back and I brought them with me, the other gentleman at the front desk was helping and giving me paperwork for both of my kids and Ms. Cherryl literally snatched the paperwork for one of my kid stating that she is 19 and she's gonna have to fill her paperwork, which I completely understand is HIPPA policy but in the manner the event happened were totally uncalled for and felt as if it was my fault of bringing my kids for the appointments and she was so rude to me for whatever reason that I still can't understand as I saw she was nice to pretty much everyone came up to her except for me, what did I do to her for this horrible and rude treatment, this was my 1st visit after a year? She looked completely uninterested in doing her job as well. She even commented to her colleague when a lady client was walking in 'here comes the lady who doesn't like me', Yes, my kid and I heard it Ms. Cherryl, you were very loud. I wonder why she hates you? I told the story to Dr. Vachhani and she was very apologetic about Ms. Cherryl's behavior and said she would address the issue. I want to let you know that because of the rude behavior of your Front Desk Staff you are loosing 3 long time clients who will never step on your premises. read more

Had to wait for a long time just to get eye dilated. An appointment which takes about 30 minutes, they took 2 hrs for it.

LensCrafters is much much better. I realized this after visiting this place. They completely messed up measurements needed for progressive lenses. It took more than 15 days to get my glasses back. I gave them a landline phone - they only texted to it. I never got the text. I called and they said the glasses are ready. Putting them on immediately I knew the glasses were horrible. The near vision with glasses was worse than without them. It had waves in the vision. They said they wanted to fix it. I gave them a single vision prescription from my doctor. They took another 10 days and still didn't fix the glasses. They had progressive prescription in one eye and distance only in the other. I could easily tell them. They said they will pay money back and fix it. They attempted to fix it. But still it didn't work out. I wasted more than 2 months just to save may be 15% or so over LensCrafters prices. Not worth it at all. They are local to our home and they did have good frames. But that's all. Their lensmakers in Greensboro are useless. Plus since when the doctors offices don't use the phone and text only. I would only buy frames from them if at all. But nothing else. I would have given 1 star but since the people were courteous I won't give them worst possible rating. read more

1. Charged me optional insurance for lens without asking 2. Took 1 month for the lens to arrive and no one bothered to call me . Had to keep calling to check myself 3. When lens finally arrived , they stripped the screw on the frame and said they had no tools to fix it . Luckily the MyEyeDr in cornerstone was able to fix it .
