Perfect care for unusual vision problems requiring prisms. On top of the insurance situation and they have a great selection of glasses.

It's very apparent that Doc. Durham cares about the patient's well being as a whole. I came all the way from DC to be seen by her.

The doctor and lady helping her were also extremely friendly and informative and seemed to genuinely care about my needs. Lastly the lady who helps during check out was an absolute doll. While going over charges at the end, I had a $145 contact fitting fee. I've been wearing contacts for years so no one helped me "fit" anything. After stating they should really be more transparent around pricing I was informed that I was supposed to be told upfront. I asked for one pair of contact lens samples to take with me to use during the two week wait time and was told no. $718 and 3 hours later (no exaggeration ) I was finally on my way out. I did ask if that time frame was typical and was told that it was normal now that they've switched to virtual. I now know after reading other reviews that it's actually not typical. I feel deceived on pricing and my time and patronage were not respected or appreciated. I'll be picking up my glasses (cheapest pair available) and contacts and will never visit again. I'll add that the virtual visit with the doctor and technician was fine and both were professional. Unfortunately this doesn't make up for the rest of the visit but it's at least one good caveat to this.

I had an excellent appointment last week at My Eye Dr in the Village District area of Raleigh, NC…read more I have recently moved to the area and developed floaters in my left eye. The person on the phone was so wonderful in fitting me in quickly because floaters can become problematic. Once I entered the office I knew that I was in good hands. I was welcomed right away and made to feel very comfortable. The technician (I am sorry that I cannot recall his name, but he is a young man and I believe his name is Marut??) was very thorough and very patient with me. He listened to my comments about what has been going on with my eyes recently and is very skilled at taking pressures from a patient's eyes. It did not take long for Dr. Irina Feiner to come in and see me for my exam. She is so patient and kind and truly listens to her patients. She was very great about picking up on the fact that my family history means I should not be dilated for a test she was going to conduct on my one eye with floaters. I feel very confident with the diagnosis from Dr. Feiner and her course of action for me. At check-out Sharon was super kind and very personable. I look forward to my next visit at this My Eye Dr. locations.

My contact prescription and my glasses prescription don't match and the glasses prescription isn't complete so you can't order glasses from anyone but them. Stay far away from this chain.

On February 5, 2026, at approximately 11:27 a.m., I contacted this establishment to inquire whether…read morethe office accepted patients diagnosed with keratoconus who require hard contact lenses. I initially spoke with a receptionist who indicated she was unsure and transferred me to an optometrist. Unfortunately, I did not obtain his name. During the conversation, the optometrist stated that he had only seen keratoconus "once," and further remarked that this was because "the zip codes of the patients he sees are generally healthy." Keratoconus is a well-documented, progressive eye disorder in which the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape, resulting in distorted vision and significant astigmatism. It typically begins in adolescence or early adulthood and progresses over many years before stabilizing. The optometrist's statement was factually inaccurate and implied a socioeconomic or geographic bias regarding patient health, which I found to be unprofessional and inappropriate for a healthcare provider. Healthcare professionals are expected to communicate respectfully and without bias. The comment made during this call was dismissive of a legitimate medical condition and should raise concerns about the quality of care and professionalism patients may encounter at this practice.
