I'm very disappointed with this company. I hired them to come in and deep clean my house for an open house. Base boards, cabinets, appliances ect... my house was not dirty at all. Didn't really need to be cleaned, I have an infant so I didn't really have time for the deep cleaning part. I asked if they saw dirty spots on the walls to please wipe them down also. None of this was done. Maybe my expectations were to high, I have no clue. I told the ladies from the get go the things I needed done. That the house didn't need basic cleaning. I simply cannot recommend Mylenia ENOUGH!! When I had knee surgery 6 months ago I called the company to see if they could do a deep clean before I was laid up. They were booked, but Jenn was so very kind and interested in my needs, that I made a mental note of Mylenia's integrity. Flash forward and after 4 years of wanting to hire some regular cleaning help, I gave Mylenia a call. Jenn came to my house, we "interviewed" each other, and she quoted me the best rate I had heard by far!! They are fully bonded, their cleaners are paid by the hour, NOT on commission, and they are AMAZING!! I am so very happy, and feel calmer and more peaceful knowing my house is in good care! After recently moving into a new apartment we called Mylenia Cleaning. They did an excellent job taking care of our new home and we have stayed with them ever since. We appreciate the friendly service and detail oriented work. They are a huge help since I am always busy with work and school. They do an awesome job cleaning the bathroom (my least favorite room to clean) and kitchen. They introduced me to a new mop which works proficiently with my hardwood floors and I have since recommended the mop to my mother in law who also has hardwood floors. The automated system is phenomenal! It reminds me of my appointments which I often forget due to my hectic schedule. It's so nice to be surprised when I come home to a clean house! There are few times I have had to reschedule and Jen was so nice and understanding about it and got back to me very quickly. I can see how much this company cares about their customers. Jen at Mylenia Maids recently came to my rescue when another highly advertised company was not able to follow through on requests made and prepaid for! We were suddenly left without housecleaning services and desperately needed the extra help. We had out of state family arriving and had no time to clean ourselves. This was also a gift for a family member that had a high risk pregnancy and could not do much of the cleaning herself. After 5 visits I realized that my expectations and Mylenia's performance were too far apart. I wanted it to work. I liked that they were training young people to have a job skill, however it became apparent that the young ladies, all of whom were unfailingly polite, just didn't know how to clean. The difference between the interview with Jennifer and the actual work that was done (or not) was significant. Many areas were left undone or incomplete. As another reviewer noted, my house didn't smell clean. The cleaning felt indifferent. And there were too many things on the long list of things they don't do that left me wondering why I bothered having a service come in. During the interview I asked about employee turnover and was told that their turnover is quite high due to the nature of that type of work. I had a different crew each time, so no consistency or training that might have created "my" team" that knew my house and my instructions. Each time the new team arrived they told me that the office was transferring each client's data into a new system and that they needed me to tell them what to do. Emails were not answered which required follow-up calls or emails. Overall it was just OK, but for the price being charged I believed that I should look elsewhere for better value. read more

I have used Mylenia for a while now and I am happy with Jen's responsiveness, Because I have not been on a regularly scheduled pattern, I do not have the same team, so my experience is generally good but from time to time, I have not been totally pleased. I will say, however, that some of the staff is excellent and highly motivated to do a good job. Others are not so thorough. I feel a bit angry for paying so much for a mediocre cleaning. Jenn was very nice at our first consultation and my first 2 cleanings were great. After that, it all went down hill. Cleaning got sloppier and sloppier. The last straw was when they cancelled on me twice in one day and texted me apologies and what not. If you are going to cancel on someone twice in one day you should at least call not text. So they give me 20 bucks off for the inconvenience, BFD. So we agreed on a different day and 2 different maids showed up that were clueless. They had no idea what they were supposed to clean and did a horrible job. When I called to cancel my service, no one really cared. They didn't try to earn back my business by offering to re-clean or anything. I feel totally ripped off. read more

I've used Mylenia a number of times over the past year or so. The last two times they cleaned there were things missed like only cleaning the mirrors only as high as they could reach, leaving shoe tread marks on mopped floors (tile and wood) and passing the vacuum in a rushed manner. These things should not be a problem because mistakes happen and they will even come back and correct the mistakes. However the problem is once you bring mistakes to their attention and they come back to correct it and you call (several times) to make another appointment they take your calls and tell you Jenn will get back to you but she never does. It's unfortunate because for the most part they provide a good service but it seems they do not receive mistakes to well that are brought to their attention. So be prepared to just overlook mistakes that begin to surface, just grin and bare them. read more

Jen came to my house for a quote. I told her what I want to be cleaned (mainly kitchen stove, blinds & vents throughout the house) so we agreed to with "DEEP CLEAN" package ($315) that Jen offered since those items are all includes in the package. Originally, we scheduled on the following Saturday because I wanted to see how this cleaning company could do (possibly continue a bi-weekly service). On Friday before the cleaning Date, Jen called to reschedule because one of her crew's son got sick. Ok...I agreed to reschedule thinking that she needs 3-4 crews people to do the deep cleaning. We agreed on the following weekend but I need to rescheduled for sooner date. Finally got the house cleaned last Tuesday late afternoon. 2 people showed up at my house (Jen & another lady), a little confused because I thought it's going to be 3-4 crews to do the deep cleaning. Well, I let them did their thing ... A little after 2 more ladies showed up for awhile (cleaned the 2 bathrooms & a few things around the house) then they took off again. Now there's back at 2 people team again until they done with everything. Overall, I was kinda disappoint with their performance. May be I have (a little too) high hope of "DEEP CLEAN" package we paid for. We even moved most of little stuff off the counter & floor so they can clean the house easier. - BLINDS & TRACKS ; Jen did all the blinds cleaning and she told me that normally they don't do that so I was thinking to myself, she was the one who told me on the day of the quote that this is part of what they do. (wth!) Blinds were clean but there are still some spots. Tracks, not very impressed. - BATHROOM/TUB/SHOWER AREA ; they did good job on this one. - KITCHEN : The lady cleaned my stove very well! But my kitchen sink & the hood above the stove were left UNTOUCHED. - FLOOR : they did ok on this portion (just sweep & vacuum with the big vacuum cleaner so if you are looking for DEEP CLEANING in the corner of you room, forget it!) and if I did not check my bathroom floor before they left, those will be left untouched as well. - FURNITURE / SURFACE : I don't know what kind of cloth that they used but they left lots of lint on the all my furniture & counter so I ended up cleaning them again. Ugh! - AC Vent around the house : Left untouched In conclusion, staffs are great & friendly but cleaning performance did not meet my expectations. I don't know if because it's the last appointment of the day or they did not have enough man power but I feel like they wanted to rush and leave. Well, they charged me full price for the DEEP CLEAN service so I think I should get 100% from them as well. They should have their check list and check their work if they miss any items before packing all the cleaning tools but I had to discover the items that did not get clean after. My tips 1. I had surgery on my foot and couldn't clean the house the way I liked. The estimator came over and I really liked her. I was excited because she stressed their attention to detail. I explained how picky I was and she assured me that my expectations would be met. Well the first cleaning was very poor. Floor was still dirty, blinds were dusted on one side only, window sills not done, small appliances weren't moved to clean behind and more. They provide a list of things that they do, & so many things weren't done, or weren't done right. Even the outside of my shower door was still dirty and my toilet. She sent someone back two days later and they did a better job, so I gave them one more chance. Different crew returned for a 3rd cleaning and it passed initial inspection. But as the days passed I began to notice things like cobwebs, blinds still only cleaned on one side, dirt under the dining table, the list goes on. I finally felt up to scrubbing the way I prefer and was even more upset as to how much I spent for such a POOR job. Mylenia cleaning is amazing. When Jen came out for the appointment to give me a quote, she was punctual, professional and answered all my questions. I was impressed from the very beginning. I requested quotes from 4 services in my area through Yelp. Mylenia was on the only one that got back to me the next day. Jen came to my house and was able to provide me an estimate and set up the first appointment right then. There is an extra $49 for the first time cleaning, but honestly, that's not too bad. I've had other cleaning businesses come in and they charge nearly double the weekly rate for the first time cleaning. Jen plus 3 maids showed up on time and did a fabulous job. I had a huge event planned the days following and their job was so good I didn't have to do ANY cleaning prior to the event. We had 125-150 people over, and the Mylenia team are at my house as I type this and doing the cleanup. Showing up is half the battle and so far so good. I am pretty happy so far! read more

I requested for quotes to 4 different service providers and Mylenia was the only one that asked to come to see my place before giving me a quote. The other 3 threw me numbers and one of them asked me to refer to their website to get more info. That was the primary reason that Mylenia stood out to me. That in it self showed me that they Care about the level of service. Jen, a lovely young lady came out to meet me at my place at 8am before i left for work because I didn't have any other time. She went through my house and then gave me a quote which was actually cheaper or about the same as the other providers. Then she went through a list of what was included in the service and what they did not do due to their insurance policy. They have INSURANCE!! So professional and friendly. My house was squeaky clean and felt different when I came home. I had 2 things to mention, so I wrote them an email to them and they came back with feedbacks Right away. And mind you, they named themselves Mylenia because the company was founded by several millennials. Which I am so happy to see that they are defying the poorly depicted image of millennials. This review is long overdue! I absolutely LOVE working with Mylenia! They were super professional from the start. I like that the cleaners are actually employed by them, rather than just a referral agency, which I had some issues with in the past. I work crazy hours, so when the weekend rolls around, the last thing I want to do is spend my whole day scrubbing toilets. I keep the house picked up, but the Mylenia Team comes in and takes care of the deeper cleaning and I absolutely love it. More time to spend with my daughter and hubby. Shortly after my original review, Jen graciously offered to extend a complimentary cleaning first thing this morning. I was pleased that she and the three person crew showed up on time. They were all very pleasant and diligent to start right away. I felt that there was good communication with our first appointment so that they were familiar with our house and needs. Jen is very organized and thorough. She made sure that all of my preferences noted. The company is very flexible and I like that even though her company is scheduled to come monthly, I can request to skip a month. I also appreciate that they send an email a few days prior to them coming. After they clean I LOVE coming home to a clean house. They are very detail oriented, they even fold the toilet paper into a triangle as if you are staying in a nice hotel! Another thing that I love is I have mermaid pillows with reversible sequins, and they always arrange them nicely on my couch and make a cute design with the sequins. Jen is excellent as far as customer service. However, they could only come out on Tuesdays -- when I was finally given a regular day -- which does not work for me because that is street cleaning day. I don't even have room for my own cars in my driveway. Do not hire these people if you want deep cleaning. They have one girl who is super awesome, but of course she only does parts of the house, not the whole job by herself. They give you a list, and they do not do everything the list says they will do. My stainless steel kitchen appliances looked pretty bad when they "cleaned them." If you open the doors to the fridge, they did not bother cleaning the inside of the doors. And everything looked smudged. They do not clean the stove as described in the list. In fact, there are many things that are not done as promised. My house is not a dirty house. I do swifters every other day -- wet and dry -- and I clean the toilets everyday. I have not had time to deep clean my house, so I thought it would be worth it to hire somebody so that things can be done with extra detail. They do more like "hotel" cleaning. Just tidy and okay to the eye. I think paying for that kind of cleaning is not worth it. I gave them four tries. On the first visit I was told, "It gets better each time we come." Isn't that why I had to pay the extra $89 the first time they came out??? Also, things are moved around and not put back the way they were. I should have called Jen and told her one of the ladies broke the water stopper to my bathroom sink, but my husband told me not to. It is old anyway. The point is, she should have said something. The ladies are super sweet and nice, but I cannot afford to pay $460 a month for "swifter" style cleaning. Yes, that one girl is awesome with the bathroom, but you do not always get the same people. And, again, you will still get somebody else doing the rest of the house; who does not do a very good job. Like another person on here indicated, the sinks are not done very good at all. I also could not believe when I saw one of the girls with a cloth cleaning around the toaster on the counter. Are you kidding??? It is not heavy, so I do not understand not moving it and cleaning under it. The chairs to the kitchen table were not moved around either. Also, they do not do windows. I don't expect the outside done, but they do not clean the inside of kitchen windows and sliding glass doors. I had also paid extra for the cabinets to get cleaned a little better, and that did not happen. In fact the same pancake batter I had splat by accident the morning they came was still there when they left. I had left it there on purpose to see they really do wipe the cabinets. I guess they don't. That day, I made up my mind not to have them come anymore. The thing that really gets to me is that my house was never dirty to begin with. It needed deep cleaning. There is a huge difference between making it livable and deep cleaning. I would also have to alway go over stuff that was not done right after they left. Again, super nice people, but smiles do not make the house sparkle. I wish it would have worked out. read more
