Warm Ramen for a cold night! YUMZ FORGOT PICS SO HUNGRY AND COLD. Orange Fizz for my adult beverage accompanied with my weird Hot water to keep me from freezing! Calamari was good as was the Yummy Ramen with Pork Belly. Hit the spot. Other meals Steak Bowl & Hibachi Shrimp. I had the Fried Vanilla Ice Cream with more Hot water- yes weirdness but does a body good. Parking available and reservations advised but wasn't at all crowded.

Please note these are without rice, at my request.

My friend and I stopped in on a Wednesday evening about 6:15 at the Long Point Rd location. It was pretty crowded with the happy hour crowd. We sat at the bar, which happens to be next to the sushi guys. I requested no rice on my sushi rolls (I realize it is no longer sushi at that point), and they were very accommodating. She had the Steak Tataki Roll, and said it was delicious. I had the Double Tuna Roll (spicy tuna, cucumber and avocado with seared tuna on top) $16, and the Tanaka Roll (spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber with spicy salmon on top) $15. Both were phenomenal! The tuna and salmon were fresh and fantastic! They tasted great, even without rice. The service was great. Everyone who works there is kind and fun. Ambiance is perfect. Not too noisy, not too dark. Parking is abundant, though crowded at certain times. Happy hour is packed, but settles down shortly after. I forgot to get pictures of my rolls while I was eating there, but last night I got takeout, and snapped pics of my rolls. Love Fuji! It is now my go-to sushi place!

I got the rice bowl don for delivery and it only came with 5 pieces of salmon. It looked nice and the fish was fresh but I'm still hungry.

Delicious! I had a roll and miso soup! The flavors are definitely there and so delicious! The service was great was very knowledgeable! She helped me decide which roll I should order. There are a few outdoor tables and it's very nice inside! I suggest getting sushi from here if you're in the a

This small Asian Restaurant pumps a lot of flavor! We had a short wait of 10 minutes (I would recommend making a reservation to this little gem!)...My daughter loves Fuji and we typically go to Basil (which is also excellent but a different vibe and much longer wait on food after it's ordered)...Sorry, got off track! But I was soooo impressed with the food and charming bar and atmosphere here! Isabel was our server and she was sweet, polite and prompt! We had the following: Shrimp Sushi with crab- my daughter's favorite. It was a HUGE portion on a 12" platter. Enough for 2-3 servings. Miso Soup- tiny bits of tofu with chopped green onions. Delicious flavor. Enjoyed by all. Steamed Vegetable dumplings-6 portions. We had two each. Great for an appetizer or meal. Soft and plump. Not dried out or overcooked. Shrimp Hibachi with fried rice-they do not cook in front of you. They serve in a large bowl the shrimp and veggies with another small side bowl of fried rice. Everything was cooked to perfection! And the shrimp had a small amount of char that added to the flavor. We couldn't have a better meal! Usually I take photos of the menu, but it's a 6 page book. That's how much variety they have and it was a struggle to place an order because of so many options! Trust me! You will love Fuji and all it has to offer!

This was my first time to the Mt. Pleasant location and it was great!! The restaurant was quiet which is nice. It started to pick up once we left. Me and my husband had a bowl of Miso soup and it was so good!! We had the boom boom shrimp for an appetizer and the firecracker roll for dinner to share. Everything from the customer service was great.

We waited 15 minutes on a Monday night to get seated. The place was popping! It makes me happy to see restaurants doing well on what is usually the slowest night of the week. Our server was very nice, and provided great recommendations. They have so many sushi options to choose from, making it so hard to choose. Ultimately, I liked the sushi we got, but I did not love it. I think I just did not choose the right rolls for my flavor preferences and will need to try a few more before I can give a solid review of their offerings. I will say, I really enjoyed the house salad. The dressing had a peanut, ginger flavor and I could have sipped it straight out of the bottom of the bowl (I refrained). And I saw other people ordering steak dishes from the hibachi grill that looked fantastic. I will report back....

Came through on a Wednesday afternoon craving sushi and Fuji fit the bill! Plenty of spots to sit from a bar area to booths. I was torn between a nice bowl of udon but went with the 2 roll lunch special and cup of miso. Both excellent! The tuna avocado roll was juicy and the boston roll had a nice crunch to it with the lettuce and shrimp. Service was quick and friendly. Great staple in the area for quality sushi!

Fuji is one of my favorite sushi spots! The New year roll is my absolutely favorite. It's a nice, cozy spot for sushi and hibachi. The service is always good and the food is always delicious!

I recommend making a reservation. We did not but Ms. Myles graciously accommodated our table for 2. A few hours prior we checked and reservations were wide open, but by the time we got there, they were pretty booked. The staff is wonderful and the food is made with care. Simply delicious! We began with a cup of their clear broth that was light and flavorful and cleansed our palettes for the grilled meats to come. At the suggestion of Ms. Myles, we had the Crispy Pork for an appetizer. Nice and crisp pieces of pork whose fat was properly rendered back into the meat. A lot of places miss this important step. It was served with a luscious white sauce and lightly vinegared hot sauce. Then we went right into their specialty- Yakitori We had one of each of the following: Momo- chicken Thigh Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Honey Glaze Australian Wagyu Beef- they offer American Wagyu, and A5 Japanese Kobe as well Bacon Wrapped Crab- high quality Crab stick wrapped in bacon..this was a standout for me. So rich and full of Umami Ribeye We finished the meal off with a plate of Beef Yaki-Udon. The depth of flavor was incredible and again the Umami took center stage. The broth was impossibly milky and deeply flavorful -- the kind that stops you mid-bite. The ambiance and service were a complete and welcome surprise. We were visiting Charleston from St. Pete, and having traveled to many countries around the world, I rarely feel compelled to write reviews. But this place moved me. They could easily hold their own as a full-service, five-star ramen restaurant on every level -- price, value, quantity, and the overall experience. The whole nine yards. Highly recommend.

Strangely, mine was brought to me packaged for takeout; I don't know why their in-house ordering would default to that but maybe I hit a wrong button? Maybe some room for process improvement there, but they didn't give me any trouble about transitioning to a dine-in bowl. Their vegetable ramen is promised with a citrus note and there were discernible little bits of yuzu in it. The tofu it comes with is marinated in something sweeter, which wasn't my favorite flavor combination but is typical to the cuisine. I found the flavor improved with tableside spices; they have both a black pepper mix and a house chili powder. The portion size was not huge, and even adding extra inari on the side just satisfied my cravings, and this was after I'd had breakfast. There were some Japanese-speaking people dining there who seemed to be slurping approvingly. I could imagine having had a better experience, but the quality of broth and noodles was worth coming for me.

I appreciated how they filled their spicy tuna rolls with chunky pieces of fish instead of the usual ground tuna used in other sushi restaurants. Their offerings and methods of preparation, paired with their higher price point, suggests they are a higher end establishment. However, the atmosphere was undoubtedly on the casual side, and their service, although friendly and knowledgeable, exuded a lack of experience and the same attention to detail that they put into their food. This was especially apparent after coming from eating at other restaurants in a similar price bracket, where you can sense the waitstaff had a lot of pride and passion for their craft, and it didn't feel like it was just a job for them. In contrast, our experience at Shiki felt far more transactional, and lacked that "customer obsession" and genuine warmth. That said, it's difficult to judge a restaurant's culture just from a single night, and maybe other customers had a different experience from us. Ultimately, if good sushi is your priority and you are willing to splurge a bit, Shiki meets and even exceeds that bar.

Shiki is exactly that kind of place--a small, warm, inviting restaurant tucked into a strip mall that feels like a neighborhood secret. Loc, our waiter, greeted us as soon as we sat down with water, a friendly welcome, and a helpful walk-through of the menu. We started with wine and sake--always a promising beginning. The first course was seaweed salad with baby octopus, and I could have happily sipped that dressing like a cocktail. Light, bright, perfectly balanced, with tender octopus that added just the right bite. From there we decided to sample our way through the menu and ordered a lineup of rolls: Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Shiromi, Rainbow, Spider, Lemon Salmon, and Eel. Each one seemed better than the last. The Spicy Shiromi was the clear standout--absolutely spectacular. What really sets Shiki apart is that every roll has its own distinct flavor instead of the one-note sameness you find at so many sushi spots. You can tell real care goes into the preparation. If you're searching for fresh, thoughtful, genuinely delicious sushi, don't overlook this little gem. Shiki is the real deal.

Not to mention the huge snarky attitudes and negative undertones received from the hostess's staff. Literally, I witnessed the young black female this past Saturday evening, Kamaya, I believe is her name display a fake disposition, associated with a fake smile and then spoke negatively of patrons behind their backs, under her breath. I get it, they can't control diners who linger around after being serve and or can't control or predict, when they decide to leave so others are able to be seated and served in a timely fashion. But, I would suggest, to always remain very transparent and do not force bogus rules of rushing a party to arrive early and then convey a message that states your table will be held for 10 minutes and then released/ cancelled. When a party, such as ourselves, arrive before time and then are told that your party will not be seated until all parties are INSIDE the building, even though they are trying to find a park in this small parking lot. Finally, all parties of your group are present and accounted for, standing in your face still within the time frame mentioned. Then to be told, you now have a few tables ahead of you and the wait is approximately 20 minutes. Really? But in actuality you and your guests now wait 40 to 45 minutes after your scheduled reservation. All the while witnessing them seat random small parties that walk in after your large group with an actual reservation. I know this because I listened as I stood idly by the hostess desk. One or the management of this establishment need to focus on revamping this failed system and have some of your hostess to work on their attitudes. Last I checked, it is patrons such as myself that keeps them employed and your business successful and thriving. Also, a word to all other patrons, if you desire a table greater than a party of 12, prepare to pay a deposit of $10 pp but you still will probably have to wait for your reserved tables. The only thing that made me come back to this place was a special request from my daughter for her birthday and our amazing Chef Marcelino, and Gee, our server was pretty cool as well. Needless to say, with all of the hoops, unnecessary rules and lack of communication, unwarranted attitudes, rehearsed apologies and lack of organizational skills, it will be a while before we return to this establishment, if at all! There are too many restaurants here in the Low Country who strive for professionalism and actually value their patrons without the blatant disrespect from their hostess desk. I would give, 5 stars for Marcelino and Gee but 1 star for the hostess desk! Do better!

This visit we found they no longer offer their cocktails, which was a disappointment because it was one of the reasons we came out. The daily menu cannot be found and for a $200 dinner, I'd like to know what will be available. This night a few things on the menu were not available, which also gives one pause. That being said we loved the Yellowtail, and the Baby Romaine was delicious!!! Brisket, was bland and dry, and at $32..a shame to serve. Not sure where the English pea and potatoes were. The sesame noodles were wet, drippy, and had no flavor. We'd go back in a heart beat for dessert. While it wasn't what was supposed to be offered, the passion fruit sorbet and the toasted blueberry/cake compote were sublime. The meals here are to be like a tapas, and shared, which really raises the prices. And since each plate may be one bite each for 4 people, you can see how quickly your bill will climb.
