The paint had been caked on and there were flaws on the finish that looked terrible close up. Not smooth. The paint also had that slightly discolored 'old' look. Time for a refresh! We wanted to keep these doors, but did consider buying new. However, for the price of a set of new, plus the install, adding finish and making holes for hardware, we decided refurbishing the doors would cost about the same- maybe a little less. We selected Tony because the conversation was good, the price was right, and he was willing to put the project into his queue asap. We scheduled a time for Tony to take the doors and after about one week (in the hottest weather SoCal has seen all summer!), he returned them with 60 yrs wear and tear repaired; and a beautiful, refurbished satin finish. Really well done. It's hard to see the before and after, but take a look and hoepefully you'll get the idea. He doesn't know it yet, but there are two more sets like this one...we'll be calling soon. Completely INCOMPETENT!! we hired this guy to fix a pull out trash cabinet. He had to come back…read morethree times. The first time he installed it with a screw sticking out of the front of the cabinet. We call him back to fix that and he did it again. He damaged the paint on the cabinet when he was reinstalling so we had to repaint it. He said he installed new slides, however, within one month the entire cabinet is broken again. We finally hired a real cabinet person to fix and he has pointed out one issue after another with the previous repair. John actually used industrial double sided tape to affix the cabinet door to the box!!!! My legit cabinet guy said he'd never seen anything repaired so badly. Do not hire this guy!! Anthony and his helper did a fantastic job painting one of our bedrooms. Before starting, we had…read moreseveral problem areas: double-sided poster tape and earthquake hold residue stuck to the walls in multiple spots, holes left behind from a few dry erase/magnetic boards we'd removed, and two doors with peeling and cracking paint, both on the doors and along the jambs. Anthony and his worker carefully removed all the tape residue and patched and sanded the holes and door jambs. For one of the doors, Anthony actually took it off its hinges and brought it outside to properly sand and patch it, the door is now incredibly smooth, with no trace of the peeling or cracking left. By the time they were done, all the wall and door damage had completely disappeared. His price was comparable to the other quotes we received, so we felt confident we were getting good value along with quality work. We'll definitely be hiring Anthony again for our next painting project. Highly recommend if you want quality work and attention to detail!
