My wife and I stopped in for the first time on Monday night, December 8, 2025. We're big fans of barbecue, and this place did not disappoint. The menu offered an excellent selection, and we decided to split a three-meat platter with brisket, pulled chicken, and smoked wings. We chose baked beans and potato salad as our sides, and everything was absolutely delicious and well prepared. Our server was friendly and attentive, providing prompt service throughout the meal. The decor complemented the classic barbecue-joint vibe. We plan to make Gatlinburg a regular stop on our way to Knoxville in the coming years, and this will definitely be a place we return to for lunch or dinner.

The food was not as good as I was expecting. I had the brisket and the pulled pork and it didn't really have a lot of flavor. The Mac n cheese was ok. The corn was good. I was not impressed with the Baked beans. The location is great, music was good, service was good. I think it's weird they only give you a small cup of sauce instead of the bottles on the table if you want the sauces other than the hickory. And they charged us for the sauce.

This is located almost directly across the road from the chair lift, Gatlinburg Sky Park, so it's a busy section of town. It's upstairs, so enter from the street and immediately go up the stairs. We went for a late lunch/early dinner, so the crowd was thin (just the way we like it). Soon as we were seated in our booth, a girl asked if she could take our picture. We were both so stunned, we just kinda said "ok", but I was wondering "why is this person taking our picture?" It got worse - she asked us to do different poses and kiss each other on the cheek. From a socially anxious perspective, I was sweating by this point. Later she returned with copies of our pictures, offering to sell them for 2 for $25. We bought them because "vacation" but I was so not prepared to have my picture made! Things looked up after the initial awkwardness. We both did the 2 meats + 2 sides: brisket and smoked turkey and our sides were fried okra, baked potato, Mac n cheese, and fries. SO. GOOD. And the Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce on the table was excellent. Everything was so good, I texted a friend to recommend it before we even left. I think this place has been added to our growing "must haves" when visiting Gatlinburg.

Myron Nixon is a must-visit when you're in Gatlinburg! The food, the atmosphere, and the people-watching make it an unforgettable stop on the strip. Their outdoor seating is the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy the mountain air, and take in the sights of everyone strolling by -- it's pure Gatlinburg charm. If you can't decide what to order (because everything sounds amazing), go for the sampler platter. It's the best way to taste a little bit of everything -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and generous portions that hit the spot every time. Between the laid-back vibe, great service, and mouthwatering food, Myron Nixon delivers the full Smoky Mountain experience. Grab a seat outside, order that sampler platter, and enjoy one of the best meals in town!

We had such a good lunch on our first day that we came back on our last day in Pigeon Forge and enjoyed this joint again! Gatlinburg is a short drive south from Pigeon Forge. My wife enjoyed the pulled chicken sandwich with peach bbq beans and slaw. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and peach bbq beans. All was amazing. The place shouts southern hospitality and has a great ambiance. Our server was Dena and we asked for her on our 2nd trip as well. Can't give her enough kudos. She was engaging and efficient. Gotta give this place a try. You won't be sorry. Tell Dena hi from us!!!

We were here on a very busy weekend a couple weeks ago! It was so nice outside and we wanted to try Myron's! It did NOT disappoint! We chose to sit outside on the upstairs patio! Our waiter came, took our drinks after a few minutes while we looked at the shareables! We chose the Southern Spread which is Pimento Cheese with pepper jelly, jalapeño sausage slices, pickled vegetables and ritz crackers! Omg sooo good! For our entree's I got the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf with Loaded potato salad & creamy coleslaw. The meatloaf is the best I've ever had in my entire life honestly! My boyfriend got 3 Meat and 2 sides meal which was Jalapeño sausage, Bologna and pulled pork with baked sweet potato and cheese grits!!! It is a little extra but it is definitely worth it!

Brandon was friendly, answered questions, prompt service. Food was tasty and good value for the price. We sat on the Balcony and had a nice breeze and great view!

Not impressed with food. Especially for what you pay. 1 slice of brisket, and short rib was pathetic & dry. Mac & cheese & peach baked beans are good!! Sat outside and people watched (entertaining). However, would not visit again.

The brisket was a little dry, but the pork belly made up for it. The fried okra was also very good. The sauces were unique as well, and I enjoyed the meal overall. The waiter was very attentive. I also enjoyed all the decors at the restaurant.

As we wondered around the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area, we found the perfect time to stop in. It was a late lunch-early dinner situation where there weren't many people in the restaurant which was great we thought! It was very clean inside and the workers were all busy with various tasks. They were all very kind in welcoming us in and letting us take our time reading the menu. There was a girl on the street at the door handing out coupons which had a coupon for us to get a free Tumbleweed Onion. That was super cool! My husband has been really into smoking meat lately, so this was definitely on his list of things to try! We both ended up with hefty trays of meats and sides. I enjoyed the mac and cheese and pulled pork. The bbq peach baked beans are definitely interesting with the peaches in them, but they were good. The meats were all pretty good. We had a good time and enjoyed everything we tried. We will definitely be back and hopefully will see Myron next time. We heard he's in quite a bit!

Being a Memphis bbq judge and waiting to try this place was on my list while on vacation. But, I was so disappointmented with this place. I had the three meat plate and the website showed large portions. So me and the hubby decided to share this. When the food came out we had 3 pieces of burnt ends, one slice of brisket and three ribs. Two sides Mac and cheese and load tater salad. When I saw the portions I was really shocked and was like this doesn't match the pictures. The wait time was long also. But I knew bbq can't be rushed. When we got our bill it was $91.00, plus a customer service charge, like wth is this for. I paid with cash. That's the 3 meat plate with up charges for brisket, ribs and Mac and cheese. One beer and one margarita. Can you imagine if we would've order two plates. Do not come here if your own a budget and not wanting to splurge for mediocre BBQ. Was expecting more for the 5 time bbq champion. The place wasn't too busy but I did notice another table having issues with their bill as well. Maybe they need to train the servers better to answer any and all questions they may have. I was heart broken when you have followed and watched Myron become the star he is only to see that it's not worth the hype! The place is nice and the servers are good. They even had a guy come around and take your picture. Never made it to our table. But did see him around. The music was just right and the atmosphere was great. Just the price was absolutely not worth what all we got!

Myron Mixon Barbecue Company in Gatlinburg, Tennessee

My wife and I were in Pigeon Forge on business and I found out that Myron Mixon opened this new restaurant 15 minutes down the road from our hotel in Gatlinburg. I've watched Myron on TV and read his books for years, so we had to go. When we got there, we had to walk up a flight of stairs to actually get into the restaurant. Be aware, it's a long staircase to get up there, and there is no elevator. The restaurant itself is very nice. All wood decor and they had some nice country music playing. It's a very nice atmosphere. Our waitress Aylin was great. Very attentive. We ordered the 3 meat Pit Masters Platter. You have your choice of a quarter chicken, chicken wings, jalapeño cheddar sausage, pulled pork, or smoked beef aka bologna. This platter is $27 and comes with two sides. Now here's the catch. For a $3 upcharge you can get brisket, or baby back ribs. For a $9 upcharge, you can get a beef rib. Now of course I wanted the brisket and the beef rib and my wife wanted the baby backs. The sides we got was the bbq peach baked beans and the roasted sweet potato. First, the brisket was amazing! I got a mix of lean and moist brisket. The lean brisket are the slices that come from the flat. The moist comes from the point. This has more fat which makes it more moist. Both selections were awesome. Great smokey flavor with a nice bark. My wife had the ribs. They were very tender and again, these had a nice smokey flavor with a light coating of a very flavorful bbq sauce. The beef rib looked absolutely amazing. It had a great bark and was very tender. For my first bite, I took my fork and got some meat and a nice chunk of the bark. As soon as I took a bite, I spit it out. That perfect looking bark was nothing but salt. I'm sorry but it was horrible. It was like the salt was concentrated. On to my second bite. I scraped off the bark and took a nice chunk of meat and this time I just took a small piece of the bark. Now the beef rib was amazing! The perfectly tender meat with just that little bit of bark was great. Perfect smokey taste. Just beware of all that salt. Now for the sides. I see a lot of the reviews talk bad about the beans. "They are too sweet " etc. People, it's right in the name of the beans. BBQ PEACH BAKED BEANS. There are peaches in the beans. These are not the typical beans in tomato sauce and covered in brown sugar and molasses. Myron Mixon is from Georgia, The Peach State. Have an open mind. These beans are actually really good. Give them a try. The roasted sweet potato comes with a cinnamon butter and a maple glaze. My wife doesn't like the taste of maple so we had the maple glaze put on the side. Good thing. The sweet potato with the cinnamon butter was very good. I tried the maple glaze on it and it just didn't go together. The glaze is more like a glaze you would put on a donut. It's good, just not on the sweet potato. I had more to say but yelp said my review was too long and wouldn't post it. All in all, Myron Mixon Barbecue Company is pretty awesome! With a couple minor adjustments I made to my own plate, it was really great. We will definitely be back our next trip to Pigeon Forge.

They definitely don't skimp on portions. The chips are seasoned really well, the cheese sauce has great flavor without being overly spicy, and if you're not a fan of heat, the jalapeños can be served on the side. One thing I appreciated was being able to choose our own BBQ sauce from the options available at the table. Both sauces were solid, and it was nice to customize each bite to our taste - one more sweet and the other more savory. The rest of our group was equally happy with their meals. My mom ordered the brisket sandwich and loved it, while my brother-in-law got the quarter BBQ chicken and said it was cooked perfectly: juicy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of pinkness that good smoked chicken often has. A great bonus is that you can add their ultimate salad bar to any entrée for only $8, which is a fantastic value. The staff was wonderful throughout our visit: kind, patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They answered questions without making us feel rushed and kept everything running smoothly for our group. We walked over after spending time at Ober Mountain, and it made for the perfect meal after a busy day. My only "complaint" is that they serve Pepsi products, but that's really just because I'm a devoted Coke fan, so I'll chalk that up to a personal character flaw rather than a restaurant problem. Highly recommend if you're looking for generous portions, great BBQ, and friendly service in Gatlinburg.

The pulled pork, practically bland. Potato salad and BBQ sauces, they're okay. Everything is not bad, but not good either. It's like BBQ made for people who are supposed to be watching their diet. Low sugar. Low salt. Low flavour. Here's the solution: Combine everything. And tadaah, You've got the most amazing Pulled Pork Sandwich. Then, use that same sauce combo for your ribs to kick them up.
