So my girlfriend is addicted to Ole Smoky Moonshine. We were riding through Gatlinburg, I usually won't even stop here because they are one of the most unfriendly cities for motorcyclists. They won't even let you park in most of their garages and if they do, they want you to pay $20 per bike (same as a car) but put all the bikes up to four in one spot. This is completely unfair to us. That being said, we tried to find in town parking but struck out so we parked outside of town and walked in so we could do a tour of Ole Smoky which is great by the way! They have a couple spots so we were walking over to the second location from the first when I spotted Myron Mixon's Restaurant on the walk..I had no idea it was here. I wasn't even hungry...but being a huge fan I had to stop and get some legendary barbecue. I was prepared to bust my gut for this place. Did you know that Myron is the most winning barbecue pit master in all of competition barbecue?? I did. And while I don't expect competition style barbecue at a restaurant I had high expectations of this place and I was not let down. I got the three meat pit master combo which was $28. It came with pork belly. I added brisket for $6 and a bone beef rib (Dino) for $18. I got sweet potato and creamed corn as a side. Arianna R was our server and she was spectacular! On top of her game, constantly checking in on us, never letting our drinks run dry. The food was simply amazing. I hate Gatlinburg. I would never come to this city to vacation or visit on purpose. But if I was driving or riding through, 100% of the time I am going to stop and eat here. It is really worth it especially if you love barbecue. The pork belly just melted in your mouth with that sweet squishy caramelized fat flavor explosion that it should be. Definitely get it 10/10. The brisket was juicy, had tons of flavor from the bark, a good smoke ring that you could taste, and just the right ratio of fat to meat. 10/10. Now...the Dino rib...holy crap. These are hard to find at restaurants. Even more difficult is finding good ones. This one blew me away. It's like a steak but it melts in your freaking mouth. Smokey flavor, perfect amount of fat, and it just came right off the bone but stayed firm. 15/10!! Worth the extra $18 (these things are usually $35 by themselves at other places). I don't know how they made this cream corn but I need to find out. It was the best cream corn I've ever had. The sweet potato was like a dessert. GF and I shared this meal and we should have not ordered dessert but we had to. She is gluten free and everything we had was gluten free. We got the apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert and it put us over the top. As a bonus, it was their 1 year anniversary when we were there and the legend himself was there making sure everyone was happy. I took the opportunity to get my photo taken with him. I had no idea this restaurant was there and I didn't plan on wearing the shirt of one of his competitors, M

Exploring Gatlinburg and decided to stop here for a bbq lunch. The kid got a bbq platter with chicken wings. The hot honey sauce was so delicious. The wife and split a 3 meat platter (burnt ends, babyback ribs, and brisket). All we tender and tasted good. Because of the tourists area the price is a bit high (especially charging extra for the ribs and brisket "upgrade"). Other than there's not much else to say

First off I'm going to give a shout out to our server Willis was amazing, very helpful . Very good server. We had the three meat feast, had the chicken wings, the Brisket , the park belly burnt ends and the pork ribs. We had fried okra the beans and a sweat potato. The chicken wings were my favorite thing they were amazing. The brisket was really good pork ribs were great. I didn't like the pork belly burnt end I just feel like they were overdone

My wife and I stopped in for the first time on Monday night, December 8, 2025. We're big fans of barbecue, and this place did not disappoint. The menu offered an excellent selection, and we decided to split a three-meat platter with brisket, pulled chicken, and smoked wings. We chose baked beans and potato salad as our sides, and everything was absolutely delicious and well prepared. Our server was friendly and attentive, providing prompt service throughout the meal. The decor complemented the classic barbecue-joint vibe. We plan to make Gatlinburg a regular stop on our way to Knoxville in the coming years, and this will definitely be a place we return to for lunch or dinner.

This is located almost directly across the road from the chair lift, Gatlinburg Sky Park, so it's a busy section of town. It's upstairs, so enter from the street and immediately go up the stairs. We went for a late lunch/early dinner, so the crowd was thin (just the way we like it). Soon as we were seated in our booth, a girl asked if she could take our picture. We were both so stunned, we just kinda said "ok", but I was wondering "why is this person taking our picture?" It got worse - she asked us to do different poses and kiss each other on the cheek. From a socially anxious perspective, I was sweating by this point. Later she returned with copies of our pictures, offering to sell them for 2 for $25. We bought them because "vacation" but I was so not prepared to have my picture made! Things looked up after the initial awkwardness. We both did the 2 meats + 2 sides: brisket and smoked turkey and our sides were fried okra, baked potato, Mac n cheese, and fries. SO. GOOD. And the Hickory Smoked BBQ sauce on the table was excellent. Everything was so good, I texted a friend to recommend it before we even left. I think this place has been added to our growing "must haves" when visiting Gatlinburg.

Cold, low flavor, just lacking all the way around. 1/10.

What a let down. I should've known not to go in because it was just like every other "celebrity" restaurant in town, abysmal! The service was nonexistent, the food was cold and not even good, and the place is loud, up a lot of stairs, and the wait for our food was just shy of an hour. Won't happen again.

Myron Nixon is a must-visit when you're in Gatlinburg! The food, the atmosphere, and the people-watching make it an unforgettable stop on the strip. Their outdoor seating is the perfect spot to kick back, enjoy the mountain air, and take in the sights of everyone strolling by -- it's pure Gatlinburg charm. If you can't decide what to order (because everything sounds amazing), go for the sampler platter. It's the best way to taste a little bit of everything -- perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and generous portions that hit the spot every time. Between the laid-back vibe, great service, and mouthwatering food, Myron Nixon delivers the full Smoky Mountain experience. Grab a seat outside, order that sampler platter, and enjoy one of the best meals in town!

We had such a good lunch on our first day that we came back on our last day in Pigeon Forge and enjoyed this joint again! Gatlinburg is a short drive south from Pigeon Forge. My wife enjoyed the pulled chicken sandwich with peach bbq beans and slaw. I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and peach bbq beans. All was amazing. The place shouts southern hospitality and has a great ambiance. Our server was Dena and we asked for her on our 2nd trip as well. Can't give her enough kudos. She was engaging and efficient. Gotta give this place a try. You won't be sorry. Tell Dena hi from us!!!

We were here on a very busy weekend a couple weeks ago! It was so nice outside and we wanted to try Myron's! It did NOT disappoint! We chose to sit outside on the upstairs patio! Our waiter came, took our drinks after a few minutes while we looked at the shareables! We chose the Southern Spread which is Pimento Cheese with pepper jelly, jalapeño sausage slices, pickled vegetables and ritz crackers! Omg sooo good! For our entree's I got the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf with Loaded potato salad & creamy coleslaw. The meatloaf is the best I've ever had in my entire life honestly! My boyfriend got 3 Meat and 2 sides meal which was Jalapeño sausage, Bologna and pulled pork with baked sweet potato and cheese grits!!! It is a little extra but it is definitely worth it!

The food was not as good as I was expecting. I had the brisket and the pulled pork and it didn't really have a lot of flavor. The Mac n cheese was ok. The corn was good. I was not impressed with the Baked beans. The location is great, music was good, service was good. I think it's weird they only give you a small cup of sauce instead of the bottles on the table if you want the sauces other than the hickory. And they charged us for the sauce.

They definitely don't skimp on portions. The chips are seasoned really well, the cheese sauce has great flavor without being overly spicy, and if you're not a fan of heat, the jalapeños can be served on the side. One thing I appreciated was being able to choose our own BBQ sauce from the options available at the table. Both sauces were solid, and it was nice to customize each bite to our taste - one more sweet and the other more savory. The rest of our group was equally happy with their meals. My mom ordered the brisket sandwich and loved it, while my brother-in-law got the quarter BBQ chicken and said it was cooked perfectly: juicy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of pinkness that good smoked chicken often has. A great bonus is that you can add their ultimate salad bar to any entrée for only $8, which is a fantastic value. The staff was wonderful throughout our visit: kind, patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They answered questions without making us feel rushed and kept everything running smoothly for our group. We walked over after spending time at Ober Mountain, and it made for the perfect meal after a busy day. My only "complaint" is that they serve Pepsi products, but that's really just because I'm a devoted Coke fan, so I'll chalk that up to a personal character flaw rather than a restaurant problem. Highly recommend if you're looking for generous portions, great BBQ, and friendly service in Gatlinburg.

Now the sandwich wasn't cheap, but it was well worth it, and we luckily got some seating and some rest from the rain while enjoying our really good food! My boyfriend got the Cuban, he was a bit worried because he hadn't had the sandwich before, but I knew he would like it so I ordered it for him and someone ate their entire sandwich (not me) so let that speak for itself! They make sure to pile those sandwiches high with meat, and they move so quickly our food came out, not even 10 minutes after we put our orders in and we were starving so it was much appreciated after walking the strip in Gatlinburg.
