If you want a chill spot downtown with hip hop music/vibe, this is one of the spots to go to. Be mindful because it can be ghetto so if you are looking for something bougie, this is not the place. There's often fights inside or near Myst. Giving it 3 stars because the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. There's only 2 unisex bathrooms and they are often clogged up. If it isn't clogged up, there's no toilet paper or it's just trashed. Sometimes the door lock is broken too and won't lock properly. They have been doing some renovations to their furniture but not the bathroom. It's so gross. The specialty drinks are really good. Especially when the bartender Chase is there. My favorite is the Pink Lagoon. It'll sneak up on you because it is made with tequila. It's like an alcoholic pink drink with the coconut cream, guava and pineapple. Pricy with drinks averaging $15-20 and they have an automatic 18% surcharge on weekends (that is not tip). Food is great. Some of the best wings downtown. The lamb chops are really good too. I wouldn't get the wagyu sliders. It wasn't good. It tasted like an average slider advertised to be fancier since it's "Wagyu". I've had better sliders elsewhere for much cheaper. Save your $30. Parking here is horrible because it's in the heart of gaslamp. Horton plaza parking is probably your best bet if you can't find street parking. read more

I came on Monday Night 9/14/26 and James an Asshole he is so unprofessional and not a nice guy. His customer service is horrible. And His drinks suck and he don't like you to tell him that he can improve. He will eventually make a problem for your business. The place is very nice tho. You can't beat the location. Right in the middle of 5th Ave, Myst should be your first stop as you explore the gas lamp. Happy Hour drinks and hookah are 1/2 price so it's great early. Later on in the day the energy goes to a chill vibe with servers making sure you have what you need have a good time with friends. I recommend the lambchops! read more

On 7/22, I called and spoke with Jeremiah to book a section by the DJ for my friend's birthday. We were traveling from Houston, so I made sure to confirm the reservation through both Yelp and Google, and again over the phone with him directly. When we arrived, another group was sitting in our section. Staff told us they didn't have our reservation...even though Jeremiah admitted he remembered speaking with me. No explanation, no real accountability. We were given a smaller table instead, which was frustrating for a birthday celebration we had planned in advance. The manager did comp a hookah, which we appreciated, but it didn't make up for the fact that our section was given away without notice. To make matters worse, the server with red hair had an attitude that just added to the negative vibe. A chill hookah lounge! It was fairly slow for what I'm Use to especially for me attending this place on a weekend Day. We did not stay too long , maybe a little Over an hour. Great time but a bit sloppy with their reservations. We arrived about 20 mins before our reservation and didn't get seated until about 45 mins later..meanwhile other groups were getting seated! What started off as a very rocky start to our girls night, which was mainly do to lack of communication/ staffing and poor organization from the staff....eventually came together and made for a much more enjoyable experience. Our Server Cheryl was awesome, and really helped in improving our original thoughts of this place. They have a great selection of hookah styles, and flavors. They have a decent food menu...food was just okay though....so I'd recommend if your hungry to eat somewhere else. I'm a little delayed on my review of this but I was craving a hookah lounge visit this weekend and instantly remembered the reason for the craving was because of my awesome experience over at Myst recently. My wife and some friends hit Gaslamp to celebrate my birthday a few weeks back. We were having a great time so far in the night barhopping and what not and we made our last stop over at myst. They were closing soon but we had just enough time to grab 1 more drink and a hookah. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think the guy that helped us out was named J.t. And he just took amazing care of us for the rest of the night with the awesome drinks, hookah and dope music. Ever since Art Hookah Lounge closed, I've been looking for a hookah and saw that Myst had a 4.5 star rating so we decided to give it a try. Full disclosure in that I am a snob when it comes to hookah so it's probably why this place missed the mark. I left the lounge with no voice because my buddy and I had to yell to hear each other over the music, which already defeats the purpose of a hookah lounge. We stumbled upon Myst Lounge while strolling the streets looking for some appetizers for our kids. The menu looked intriguing, so we walked in to grab a table. To our surprise, the place was a hookah lounge. The wifey and I looked at each other, and decided we still needed to give it a shot. I'm a firm believer in if you start a restaurant, you strive to be the best. Anyone can buy packaged crap and call it a restaurant, but if you put "Lamb Popsicles " on your menu, they better be great. We sat outside, and had great service. The owner, Justin, was even there. I could tell that he cared about his business, his product. Any restaurant that you go to, and the owner is there, you know there's typically pride in ownership. When our food got to the table, we were blown away. Literally some of the best Lamb we've ever had. If you are not a regular here, don't bother coming here. The bouncer and staff just ignored us and left us waiting. We arrived on a monday holiday night and there were empty seats outside. They require you to pay $100 extra to sit on the outside couches. There was just two of us, we ordered drinks and hookah but it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks and after 45 minutes of waiting ( with no Hookah still), we just asked for the check and left. Our waitress was apologetic and sweet about it but overall, not well run establishment. The drinks were pricey although in line with gaslamp area - beers were $8 per glass, and cocktails were about $15. Again, if you are new and they don't you, the bouncer pretty much ignores you and the service is super slow. Not a great vibe and we didn't even get to try their hookah. read more

I visited this lounge Sunday, Sept. 26, and honestly I'm so upset with myself that I didn't know about this place sooner. My group had reserved tables and we sat outside. There was a Padres event that night, so I think they were busier than usual, but one thing I noticed is that Tina, our server, was the only server working! I asked around and found out from the bartender that three other employees had called out that night, and even by herself Tina was still able to attend to all the parties outside, our large group, and the indoors. Yes, there was a bit of a wait as she was the only waitress, but her attitude never showed it, she didn't complain, and she always had a friendly smile. We ordered: the tenders hummus tater tots It was delicious! The hummus had some spice to it, making it even more savory. The tots are seasoned with salt and pepper, served with ranch and ketchup and I truly felt so bougie picking up a tot with my fork to dip it in ranch (which was surprisingly tasty, by the way). Bathrooms were very neat and orderly. When we requested the heaters be turned on, they accommodated us promptly. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place. Even with all the people walking the streets from the Padres game, the lounge served us a mood which made us relax and have fun on a Sunday evening. Thanks! You'll see me again! Oh! I almost forgot! Their cocktail list is very unique. The host made sure they moved, let us know there's a $30 minimum per person and shortly after our server came to us. Our servers name was Tina and she was nice.
