We went to Don Rico's located in the South Tower area on the second (main) floor of the hotel. The servers were great and got drinks rolling to the table quickly. I was pretty hungry so decided to grab a nice Blackened Shrimp Salad (pictured) while the others grabbed and shared some apps. The salad was fantastic and had the right amount of all ingredients! Packed with protein and healthy fats, I was satiated the remainder of the evening. I plan on ordering another one today before we leave on our Florida adventures!

We ate here two Nights in a row, so far, as it is right here and we were eating late. We didn't want to start looking for a place that was open and happy to serve dinner at 9pm or later. Yes, this is a reality in Florida...folks! Anyway, the first night, our group kept growing. We were eventually a party of about 12. As far as i know, all orders and bills were separated by family and correct. Everyone loved what they chose. I often have a problem ordering food that dies not contain peppers, which i cannot eat. When glancing through the menu, i was concerned, since almost all of the dishes were seasoned or marinated with peppers...chipotle, chillies, jalapeños and more. Very often, though i love crab cakes, they are mixed with peppers that are cooked inside and I can't order or enjoy. Our server, a tall gentleman, assured me there were no peppers. He was correct! They were terrific. And to top it off, or should i say, bottom it off, they were served on a bed of Florida bread, which I found out was a cornbread patty. The dish was served with a salad and included guacamole, pico de Gallo and avocado crema. Yummy! Suffice it to say, i ordered the same thing, but one crab cake rather than two. I had trouble finishing it all the first night. The second night we arrived as a party of 5 which soon became 7. They did not bat an eyelash, but immediately moved a table over, making comfortable seating for us all. Wonderful dining in a hotel lobby.

The service was spot on, and the ambiance was laid back and chill. Fancy food has its place, but when you want a good meal and a very reasonable price, head over to this place. Unfortunately, we were told that they didn't have any of the dinner food we were wanting, but had their lunch menu instead. We both ordered burgers, and my husband got onion rings and I got fries. The burgers were great. We loved eating with a view of the ocean. It was annoying that the onion rings were an upcharge and the burgers were $20 for a single patty. Everything was delicious but not worth the price.

We started with a large wedge salad. Delicious. One of our friends insisted we order the bacon outside of the included dinner, so we did. It was amazing. I had one bite of my steak and I packed it up to go. I even packed up my cheesecake. I put that in the freezer when I got home. I ate it about a month later and it was fantastic.
