My brother was looking to grab dinner and catch up, and whenever this happens, the biggest question is where to eat. He was feeling like Greek food, and suggested Mythos based off the positive experiences he's had here in the past. This sounded great, so off we went. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mythos is a pretty spacious restaurant - the dining room is very open with tables scattered throughout the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The chairs are kinda big and I would argue that it was a little cumbersome navigating the tables but overall not too bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The kitchen is semi-open with a display case separating it from the dining room that looks like it holds food to be prepared. Their menu is pretty extensive without being overwhelming - all of the Greek staples were there. We were started with their house-made bread that came with black-eyed peas and some hummus. This was delicious, so much that we ordered dips as an app to complement the bread more mmm. We also started with the halloumi and a slice of spanakopita. The halloumi had a somewhat unique preparation - I'm used to a single slab that's maybe complemented with a sauce that I would need to slice. Instead, these were pre-sliced and placed on top of pita complemented with tomato and cucumber. This was delicious, all the flavors and textures worked well together. The spanakopita was really tasty - it was a healthy slice that we were able to share and again, super flavorful. For my main, I went with the garides mikrolimano which were shrimp prepared in a red wine-ish sauce, some feta, and served over rice. This was delicious - the sauce had layers of flavor and served as a great vehicle to unite the shrimp and the rice. Service was fine - we were taken care of promptly and food came out at a good pace. It was a little impersonal but I kind of expected that - I wouldn't go into this restaurant thinking you'll be getting an experience when it comes to the service - just straight to the point. Overall though, I thought the food at Mythos was excellent and I had a great experience. I would hesitate to return for another meal.

The food is comforting unlike the staff who will greet you nicely then talk about you in the corner of your eyes and look strangely at you .[[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant it self is very welcoming with Greek food that warms your soul the lemon potatoes are a must as a well as the Greek meatballs (surprisingly a favorite with my partners 12 year old sister ).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]I may not know how to pronounce the foods name but it sure was delicious!

We were staying in Bayside for Thanksgiving week and decided to have lunch here with some family members who live nearby. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon arrival we were given our choice of a table, which was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu has a wide variety of appetizers, salads, soups, and entrees. They also provide complimentary bread and hummus. Our party of five had Greek salad, the four dip appetizer, Greek meatballs, stuffed grape leaves, pastitsio, and chicken souvlaki. The portions were nice and the dishes were tasty. This is truly an authentic Greek restaurant with all of the favorite dishes.

I think this restaurant has been here for many years and I always said I wanted to go but never did. I finally went the other day - I have a Greek friend who invited me. The food was so delicious and the people so friendly and nice. Service was also excellent. I had the lemon soup, green salad, fried sardines and black sea bass with a bottle of Pino Grigio to top it off.

The Mediterranean food here was excellent, [[HIGHLIGHT]]complemented by a relaxed ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The fish was fresh, and the desserts were a perfect ending to the meal.

Consistently fresh, nutritious, well prepared Mediterranean dishes. Accommodating staff, homey vibe, great energy, reasonable prices and delightful atmosphere. Been coming here for decades, still a great experience every time.

This restaurant is right across from Oasas and I see it every time we go to Oasas and I finally decided to grab my neighbors and give it a try. There's outdoor seating and quite a few tables but we opted for indoor seating. Inside it wasn't too busy when we first got there but it filled up quickly. We started with Hummus and bread and everyone enjoyed it. The grilled octopus is a must try, it was so good and fresh (it was gone too quickly before I got a picture). I opted for the pork chops and it was the best choice I've made in a bit. The pork chops were juicy despite being grilled. The portion was big enough for me to have lunch the next day. My nephew got the Chicken Souvlaki and appreciated that it didn't come on the stick because it was easy for him to eat. He's super picky but ate so quickly. We ended dinner with a few Greek coffees, a Galaktoboureko, and Kardidopita. Overall it was a great dinner and I would definitely be back again

Very Good Greek Cuisine. Greek family here. Who are these people who ordered spaghetti and meatballs at a Greek restaurant?

When we called to make reservations, we were told that they *usually* serve brunch (i.e., breakfast food) on Saturdays and Sundays, but they would not be doing so on Mother's Day because... well, Mother's Day. My mother-in-law doesn't like eggs, so totally fine! We proceeded with excitement. When we drove up we realized it was right next door to Greek Family Kitchen on Union Turnpike; a restaurant we've been to many, many times. It turns out that this restaurant is by the same owners. This was promising news, as we've always loved the food there! We were initially seated at a table at the front half of the restaurant, but another (very large) party was seated next to us and one of the children was watching cartoons loudly on an iPad with no headphones, so we asked if we could be moved outside or to the other end of the restaurant so we wouldn't have to be near the untenable racket. The staff was very kind and understanding, and moved us to the patio. There was a small hiccup with service, in that we were given a warm bottle of rosé -- I've worked service industry before, and I know how to chill a bottle in about five minutes (the old "spin it in the ice bucket with water" trick). I also know you shouldn't put a warm bottle of white or rosé wine at the table in front of a customer. The bottle should've been chilled in the kitchen, the wait station or behind the bar before it was taken to our table. But this is really a small matter -- not even worthy of docking half a star. We ordered zucchini chips, saganaki and a caesar salad to start -- splitting all. Delicious! We knew the dining experience would be elevated compared to the sister restaurant next door just by glancing around the dining room, but the food told us immediately that we were in for an upscale experience that rivaled the food we've always loved at the more down-home Greek Family Kitchen. Our mains arrived shortly thereafter (the Linguini Puttanesca and the Pear & Gorgonzola Ravioli) and did not disappoint. The food was light but also satisfying. Of course we sprang for dessert, too (it was Mother's Day, after all!). We got the Dubai Chocolate, which was rich but light all at the same time, replete with a snaking line of chocolate sauce across the plate which was interrupted at intervals with sprinklings of edible gold. Couldn't have been more pleased with what turned out to be a fantastically appropriate Mother's Day locale. We will definitely be returning!

Came with some friends for lunch. We all got various combinations of the mixed plate and an order of fried calamari. The calamari was lightly breaded in a flaky batter that brought out the flavors of the squid. Cooked to perfection it was tender, not chewy. As for the mixed platters, we had lamb gyro and the souvlakis as well as the lemon potatoes and fries. The lemon potatoes were perfectly seasoned and had a nice tartness to each bite. The lamb gyro was tender. The chicken souvlaki being moist and flavorful is the barometer for the level of detail that goes into every plate served.
