We asked about happy hour since Instagram said they had it, but turns out it's not a thing anymore. They owned the miscommunication and took care of us, offering $8 wine, discounts on a couple appetizers, and even a complimentary extra glass of wine to make it up. We ordered a few things off the tapas menu. The popcorn chicken, the octopus, uni and foie gras, short ribs, and beef tacos. The short ribs leaned a bit dry, but everything else was on point. Standout by far was the uni and foie gras. A little pricey for 4 pieces but very delicious. Big shoutout to the 2 staff on site, very friendly, warm and responsive throughout. I would recommend Tavern 157 if you're in the area looking for something casual with good drinks and food and not in the mood for Korean food. Just double-check happy hour before you go, as they mentioned a new one may be coming. Overall, a really enjoyable first visit.

But, the oysters tasted pretty fresh with little to no sea water taste. The interior of this restaurant is unique and interesting with nice ambiance. The service was good at first until we asked for the bill and a 20% gratuity fee was applied which is for a party of 6 or more (as stated in the menu), but we only had 5 people. When we asked the waitress about this, she said that the statement in the menu isn't updated, and that they charge this fee on weekends because it's busier (not stated in the menu). Mind you the restaurant was completely empty when we walked in at 8pm. However, the waitress did ended up refunding us the difference for the tip.

Our server kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The calamari and shrimp ceviche were both delicious - the calamari was well battered and the ceviche was fresh. My entree, chicken baraki, was a large portion (had to take it home) and it was delicious. The drinks looked amazing but we didn't try any this time - definitely on our next visit! The spot is somewhat busy but not super noisy, which I liked. Parking is street parking and it does get busy in this area. Overall, a great spot with cool drinks and good food!

She was friendly, attentive, gave good recommendations, and worked seamlessly with the rest of the staff to make sure everything went smoothly. The restaurant has a great vibe with a bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a nicely decorated back room that was perfect for our group. It's clean, spacious, and was surprisingly busy for a Monday early night. We also found out they have great specials, including $1 wings. The spicy margarita was a hit amongst the group. The drinks were good, and my favorites were the Brussels sprouts and calamari. The rest of the group loved the wings, and the salad, and burger was also really good. We ordered a variety of small plates and desserts to share, and everything was enjoyable. We will definitely be back and would recommend it. Metered street parking is available outside.

Fortunately, the food was delicious and service was impeccable. We ordered 4 entrées to share and enjoyed everything. My favorite was the Half-Baked Chicken. The skin was so crispy and the chicken so tender. The Braised Short Rib was also really good and the crispy Brussels sprouts that come with it were the perfect amount of crispy. The other dishes we ordered were good too. We finished everything down to the last grain of rice. The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

Hostess offered us a seat near the windows, which was kind. Positive: Food was great! We loved everything we ate. Started with the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice (3 in an order). It came to the table hot and fresh. PLEASE squeeze the lime on there if you order this, it takes it over the edge. We then split the Caesar salad with chicken ($10 surcharge for chicken), and it was fantastic. We also split the burger, and while it came out more well done than median rare it was delicious. Did not care for the ranch at all. Only reason this is 4 stars is because it seemed they were down cooks in the kitchen; the food took 45 minutes to get there. We sat down around 7:50 PM, ordered our starter immediately, and it did not come until 8:33 PM. Our kind server did bring us a complimentary bread basket which saved us. They were also out of two of the wines requested. All restaurants have off days, so we would return again next time we stay at the hotel. Food was great, and service was kind.
