Mark was truly great. He normally doesn't service this area, but we'd worked with him in the past…read morein his normal service area and we had an electrical issue that was effecting our furnace, so he made the extra effort to come out. The house is close to 80 years old with some interesting wiring configurations and i can easily see some others either giving up or resorting to the more extreme possible causes (taking out part of a wall or replacing a whole fusebox), but he patiently, methodically, and thoroughly went through it and found the problem. Somewhere I definitely never would have guesses considering nothing had been plugged into that outlet for at least a year. Highly, highly recommend if you want someone who will make sure to leave no stone unturned before resorting to high-ticket guesses.

It will be a decision you won't regret. I am moving back into the house I grew up in which was constructed in the 1950's. The bathroom obviously is very old and was non-functional due to water damage in the shower area and a toilet that has rusted parts due to age. I wanted to find a contractor who could remodel the bathroom but keep key parts of the bathroom that are still in good condition. It's a beautiful house my late mother and father took pride in and made very homey so I wanted it to be right. I started looking for contractors not knowing that that in itself is a task to find one who pays attention to what your needs are and won't rip you off. My sister told me about Angie's List so I searched there. I was glad to find this business was located close to the house and got great reviews so I contacted AJ who is the owner. He came very timely to give me an more than fair estimate. My particular case is a bit unusual because I needed someone who would be willing to work in the evenings and weekend in the afternoons (can't take time off work). Alot of contractors aren't willing to give that flexibility but AJ was more than willing to comply and I can't thank him enough for that. Him and his crew even worked on Easter!! What stands out with this business is that AJ is very honest and professional. He's timely and if he's running a little behind, he will communicate that. There were some things I wanted that AJ made some suggestions that saved me a lot of money (e.g. I wanted a new tub but he told me they could refinish the spacious tub we have and glaze it so it would be like new!). I so appreciated that. Every one of AJ's staff was nice and you never heard any type of foul language from any of them while working or communicating with each other. That spoke volumes for me. I was on a strict timeline as to when I needed the bathroom to be finished. AJ knew that and tried to accommodate that but at the same time, explained that he didn't want to do a "rush" job because he is meticulous about his work. Him and his team worked really hard and I love how the bathroom looks now. There is a new toilet, new tile in the shower area, refinished tub and they seemlessly did a "marriage" between the old tile and the new tile so all blends in well. I added a dual shower head as well. So, if you are looking to remodel a room but not wanting to spend a lot of money in doing the entire room, AJ has the sparkling magic to upgrade the parts of the room you need. AJ and I worked really well as a team. With him, you can let him choose the appliances/supplies or you can. I chose mine and had fun doing it. AJ would go pick up all the supplies of what I liked/wanted which I realize was time consuming but also was a godsend and I was grateful for that as well. The only suggestion I would give (him and I discussed this and he said he would incorporate this for the future) is to give an estimated timeline to the customer of how long the project will take. I could go on and on on the positive tip but I have to end it here. Look at the pictures and see for yourself. I will happily be using him again for upcoming projects I need for the house. After sending a few pictures, they got right back to me with a quote detailing the service. I was able to get an appointment for first thing Monday morning. Mike came by just before 9 and got right to work. It took only about 3 and a half hours for the box to be replaced and have electricity up and running. He then realized the surge protector was not the right size so he left for a bit to get that replaced and was back in about 2 hours. Shortly after, he went circuit by circuit with us to get everything labeled clearly. Very happy with how everything turned out!

He did our wood floors which do look okay and patched drywall. Negatives: unreliable, unorganized, messy, terrible communication, unprofessional work The story: cash was hired to complete our updates to our new old home. Everything that was paint on out was getting ripped up or repainted/tiled. Cash gave us a quote that was 1/2 of what others were quoting and his references seemed to track. We hired him. We gave him a list and we said it would be take all of Nov/Dec and we would be able to move in Jan. The real deal: consistently two hours late, did not to projects on time, house was no where near complete a month after the deadline. My dad has to finish many projects. Extremely sloppy work. He spray painted our brick. Did not complete many items that we paid him to do. Did not listen to detailed instructions. Cut many corners. I could stick my hand behind wallpaper and it had large gaps. For our shower, it was a complete mess. We fell through the flooring. He fixed it and we fell through again. We hired another company to fix it for the third time...and it ended up costing us another 6k as the work was so messed up. The tiles were incredibly crooked. Paint has dust marks it it. The man on his crew that did it did a terrible job. The people that fixed it gave us some free extra work because they felt bad about how horrible the job turned out. It was not worth the tears to save money. We lost it in the long run. We are in a constant state of fear or something breaking. Luckily my father is very handy is helping us fix or complete all the issues. Not one thing was completely done. We kept hoping Cash would pull something out of his hat because he is the nicest guy in the world; but his work is just far below my expectations.
