Tried to explain something dealing with my car and all he did was brush me off and tell me that he's been doing this for 37 years as if he can't learn something new. Apart from the disrespect i had requested for an oil change and told the owner that a mercedez sprinter takes 5 gallons of Diesel oil he tried not only telling me that i was wrong but when he supposedly done he left me with no oil i went to a valvoline near by and they told me i had half a court of oil and was told that if i continued driving my engine would of messed up so i went back to get my money back cause paying $60 for no oil is the dumbest thing anyone would pay for... not only the owner acted like he didnt know anything but he told me to take him to court and started pushing me out of the building and that he would call the police? I had to stop in quickly here on a road trip to Colorado. I was very appreciative for their service. The price was good for me for a basic synthetic oil change for my trusty Subaru. After I confronted the owner about a stripped drain plug he looked me in the eye and said "You're just not smart" and proceeded to berate be for not respecting his 27 year career. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt for English not being his native language, but by the end of the conversation it was clear that they had made a mistake and he was defensive and rude. Now if you think I'm just another jerk with a bad review, get this. One of his current employees pulls me aside and says, "This is not uncommon. I've seen worse mistakes and I've confronted the owner about it. I am looking for a new job right now, but just can't leave. I recommend you put this on the internet and not come back". So there you have it folks. In there own words. It makes me sad because I had great luck for over 6 years and am usually the type to forgive a mistake and continue patronage, but not here. I just moved from Denver so I don't know about prices other prices in Lincoln, but this is by far the cheapest oil change shop I have ever been to. Plus they don't try to sell you anything you don't need and just take care of what is needed. I was there on a Monday at 4:30 p.m. over the week of Thanksgiving and I was out in less than 20 minutes. I use N St Express Lube as my mechanics in addition to oil changes - these guys are awesome. They are always willing and wanting to explain repairs in detail so I understand what work is happening to my car and why. Their prices are more than reasonable and blow other car shops out of the water - I have directly compared their price to another good car shop in town. I was most impressed when I had an issue with my car A/C blower that N St was not able to figure out. They were honest about not being able to do the repair and didn't charge me for the time spent looking at. Highly recommended! read more

Bob makes sure things are running well and have alerted me to needed service on my car (cracked radiator) and they do small things like fix headlights and what not. I got my oil changed before work the other day. As I was pulling out of the garage, my car started smoking. When I got to my sons daycare it was still smoking, so I checked under the hood and sure enough their was oil spilled on my engine. So, I figured that's why it was smoking and went on to work. When I parked at my job it was now smoking out of the back end. There were no warning lights on, but I called them anyway to ask why it would be smoking this much. They said, "I don't know and told me to bring it in after work if I had problems." Then when I got off work I made it about 3 miles and my car started smoking again, then I had warning lights going off, and my thermostat wasn't working. So I pulled over and called N Street. The owner told me to drive it to his shop, which was several miles away, which I responded no. So since I insisted, he had someone come and look at the car. The guy that showed up said my car had no antifreeze and that it was coming right out of the hose. Then after speaking again with the owner he told me to tow it to his shop. I refused and insisted they have it towed to their shop at their expense, because my car was perfectly fine until the minute I rolled out of their shop. So he had it towed to their shop. I didn't hear anything else until the next day, about mid-day when they called to let me know the car was fixed. So when I got there after work they told me that I owed them for their services. I asked why wasn't I called and talked to before they fixed my car. The guy responded with, well I fixed your car, it wasn't our fault, showed me the part, and then said his boss (the owner) told him to fix it. I said, I never authorized that. After a few times of going back and forth, he asked me "why do you come here then?" I told him I come here for oil changes only. I have my own mechanic who I trust and know personally. You guys are open early and close to my home. I asked to speak to the owner, Bob. The minute Bob came in he just wanted to talk about the towing bill. I said that's not what I'm upset about. I don't like the fact that you did repairs on my car without my consent, which he then said they could take apart, and I could tow it elsewhere. I told them that was not going to work as then I would be another day without a vehicle. I repeated that I did not like that they repaired my vehicle without my consent and Bob said you told us to fix it, which I replied with no I did NOT. Then all of a sudden he says I called you three times and you didn't answer, while yelling at me (mind you he called me 3 times the previous day while I was at work, before my car ever broke down). Before I know it the owner is yelling at me, giving me my keys, and telling to get out of his business. Then he proceeded to follow me out the door, push me, and grab the coat I was wearing. Then after making it clear that he had no right to touch me, he followed me to my car and continued to speak rudely to me/about me. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. My family and I will NOT EVER be returning to this business. The owner is unprofessional and needs to learn how to do business. read more

I have been going to this place for probably 15 years. It is cheaper than other places when you consider what they do. Some places might be cheaper, but they only change your oil, these guys do a host of things to make sure your car is in good running order. If I could give Bob and his team at N Street Express Lube more than 5 stars I would in a second. I get my oil changes there all the time, so yesterday when my car broke down a couple of blocks from their shop, I gave Bob (the owner) a call 30 minutes before they closed for the day. Bob send a technician over to help me out. We got the car to their shop and found out it was the water pump. Bob gave me a quote that was well under what other shops in town would have charged (I checked) and even had one of his guys take me home! As a single woman in Lincoln, I can not tell you have much I appreciate Bob and his crew and N Street for treating me so well and giving the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE and PRICE in Lincoln. I will pay it forward and recommend all my friends and family to N Street for ALL their auto needs. So glad someone still know what customer service should be!
