    Durian tart
    Angela L.

I saw they had a durian tart. I love durian and had to try it. The staff behind the counter were friendly. I asked if they had any drinks without sugar but they didn't so I just got the tart. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tangram food hall is growing so it's even more crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The small tart stall is bright and clean but hidden in the back side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tart's outer shell was flaky and tough, I'm not sure I like it. The inside however was perfectly warm, creamy, and had a strong durian flavor. I'm not sure how the other shells of their tart are but I like their filling.

This location of Na Tart is located in the food court of Tangram and they are definitely more of a new wave location - think super flaky pastry crust rather than cookie crust as well as plenty of unique, seasonal flavors. Overall, I'd say the price was a little steep, especially compared to the other bakeries in the area, but they do a solid job and they take credit card. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Logistics wise, it was a bit crowded on a Saturday afternoon, but not impossible to grab a seat nearby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order on an iPad and they'll call your number / text when your order is ready. Original Portuguese Egg Tart (4/5): 100% get this heated up (or do it yourself at home) because the crust manages to return to the perfect crispy texture. The custard was perfectly smooth and this definitely hits the spot. Soy Milk and Black Rice Sunflower Tart (2.75/5): Unfortunately, it seems like you can't really heat up the sunflower tarts, so if you don't get this one fresh, it's just significantly worse than the original option. The crust wasn't as good, the custard inside was broken up with rice, and the soy milk cream was too sweet for me. Maybe some of the other flavors are better, but this was just okay.

Was in New York with family, decided to head into this mall and stumble upon second floor where there are a small area of food court. Saw this tart place and so I decided to get a dozen of the cheesecake tart collection they are having. I would say, the cheesecake isn't that heavy so it is good. Would recommend and come back.

Na Tart is a gem for anyone who loves Portuguese-style egg tarts. I tried their classic tart and absolutely loved it, the sweetness was perfectly balanced, the crust was flaky, and the custard had that rich, silky texture you want in a good tart. They also offer a great variety of unique flavors like espresso, ube, coconut, and even durian for those who like to try something a bit more adventurous. It's a great spot for both traditional dessert lovers and those looking to explore new flavors.

Tried the espresso egg tart and was pleasantly surprised! The crust is nice and crusty, while the filling is creamy with a hint of espresso flavor that works way better than I expected in an eggy dessert. It's rich, smooth, and really tasty. Honestly, the only downside is that it disappeared way too fast -- I wish it was bigger!

I was here a while back and tried one of their egg tarts/dan tat. As I'm a big fan of durian, I got the Classic Durian Tart listed as all about durian with special durian filling and icing durian on top for $3.75 which would be honestly fine if the quality was better. Most durian pastries run from around this to much more and it's only a buck or two more than the standard egg tart. For a dessert listed as all about durian, the durian flavor was way too light having more of the smell than the flavor which means they aren't using good quality durian. The egg tart filling was alright and was extremely lightly flavored from the durian with the tart otherwise being less eggy than I expected. The durian on top didn't have the best texture and was very likely frozen which I guess is expected by icing durian (and not durian flavored icing.) In terms of the general prices, I've had better egg tarts for cheaper and much better durian based pastries for that price point. It's not a 1 as the price point is fine but it's not a 3 because it's below average. Upper 1/borderline low 2.

I live on LI, so when I'm craving good Portuguese egg tarts, I go to Bakers of All Nations in Mineola. While at the Tangram Mall with my daughter, I knew I had to make a trip to the food court for Na Tart to try their egg tarts. I went around 1pm, and they had just opened with lots of egg tarts fresh out of the oven. It smelled so good & I couldn't resist not buying a dozen of my favorite, Portuguese egg tarts- the original one. They also had 6 other flavors- savory pork floss, chocolate, taro salted egg yolk, ube cheese, durian and creme brulee & red bean, but I wasn't intrigued to try those. The girl who took my order didn't really speak English- when I asked, can I get a dozen? 12? Of the original, she had no clue what I was saying... But anyway, it doesn't matter as long as the egg tarts taste good and it did! The crust was flaky & crispy, and the custard filling tasted on point- creamy & not overly sweet. Undeniably delish! However, I do think the price was a little steep- $40 for a dozen egg tarts. I would get it again, though. Fyi- eat it within a few days, refrigerate, put the egg tarts in the air fryer for a few minutes, and it tastes just like when you first bought them, maybe better.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The smell of these egg tarts is tempting when you enter the upper levels of the Tangram Mall![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had quite an array of flavors - from salted egg yolk, a savory pork floss option, chocolate, and ube - but we got the box of 6 classic egg tarts. The egg tart is crispy, flaky with the perfect cinnamon and soft filling. Would love to visit again to try some of their experimental flavors!

Last summer, we tried out the egg tarts from this place in the Tangram mall. We got half a dozen: 1 taro salted egg yolk, 1 mochi, 2 durian, 1 chocolate boba, and 1 salty boy(pork floss with seaweed). They were definitely Instagrammable but they were not piping hot or even warm. I thought the egg tart would have the flavors of taro, durian, or chocolate mixed inside the tart but it is just the topping on top of the egg tart. A bit disappointed to say the least...

    Althea L.

I got a box of 6 different tarts for $23. Each one had nice, crispy layers of crust, and overall they were pretty good--just a bit on the sweet side for me. I tried the original egg tart, classic durian, Salty Boy (grilled seaweed with meat floss), taro with salted egg yolk, ube cheese, and cheese & corn. They made a cozy afternoon snack for a winter day, especially with coffee or tea.

    Kathy V.

The tarts themselves hype it up more than the taste for the price. Service was fairly quick since there were like 2 other people in line. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This stall is located in a mall food court while on a weekend, so the place was very crowded and loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not great for studying in my opinion, but great for dining if you could find a spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I already liked how Portuguese Egg Tarts taste and could eat one a day for the rest of my life and never get sick of them. Na Tart said, nah, let's add different flavors to them. And here we have this and I have to say I'm impressed. With a group of four, we decided to split the cost of a 6 pack, which they call "Nice To See You" for $21. I got to try the Classic Durian Tart and it was fantastic. You get that nice durian taste with the familiar egg tart texture. Delicious. The Original Portuguese Egg Tart is as good as any egg tarts you can get in the city, but I'd try out their creations as that's what they're differentiation from the competition.

    Cherylin L.

Their commitment to natural, handmade goodness without any additives. They craft every tart with love and care, using only the finest ingredients sourced from around the world. The tarts are freshly made daily, boasting top-quality French imported butter, premium flour, and organic goodness in every bite.
